Edit: Is this the official stance? If you misbehave long enough, you are banned without warning?
I've been warned plenty of times. I'm pretty sure you're given a few warnings before you're banned for an amount of time. I do assume it'd vary from person to person though.

I still want to see Captain Planet and He-Man fight. Granted, we'd die from Awesomation Sickness, but, whatever.

Do you think an mmarks topic could be made? I'd be interested to learn why he was banned.
From what I gather, he submitted a fair amount of garbage to the Workbench under multiple pseudonyms. I can't really remember it too much (it's been yonks), but I'm certain that's why.

I updated the SD encode. Redownload, it's the same link. New YouTube link.

Try not to take that too literally, or you'll end up in the exact same sticky wicket I am.

Now, now! Don't fret, please! The other Victorian Australians are allowed to discuss our sect of Victoria too! Banning that would be banning all discussion in this topic! Because as you know, this topic is for Victorians everywhere! I shall add them to the list of people, but knowing where they are in Victoria would be absolutely delightful! Yes, I'm quite aware of the irony that I'm partially black furred~ We're assuming that the existence of this Victorian celebration completely ignores the racism that so raged on and hurt so many people, of course.

I had a dream that I somehow traveled a mere 30 years into the future. The social downsides ruined any prospect for it for me.

To overthrow the Fascist Hat Regime. Granted, the Potheads are Commies, so it's basically just Evil verses Evil by this point.

I asked for someone to draw me on top of a Watermelon. I loved it enough to use as an avatar.

Long story short, I'm trying to compile a list of people that are in Melbourne that are active to TASVideos, preferably near Melbourne. I figure that if there's ever going to be a meetup of TASVideos members, may as well have the member that everyone hates or is afraid of setting up the topic! So far, from what I gather, the only Melbourne/Victorian peeps so far are me, ToonLinkGaming, and erokky. Anyone else out there? No, this has nothing to do with the Victorian ruled Britian. Sure, why not make this topic about Victorians everywhere. The list of Australian Victorians is below: Flygon erokky ToonLinkGaming xPi FallToSleep

This is the problem with encoding being extremely subjective. The only solution I'd be able to think of would be to produce multiple encodes, but going by past experiences, that is not going to happen.

We have the same greyscale issue, it appears. I've figured out a way to convert video files using only the palette, but I would really rather use the algorithm that Randil has got going on here. A configurable AviSynth plugin would be unlikely, but wonderful. :p If anyone wants, I can produce a GIF/YouTube video, but I can't promise it'd be too pretty.

The below is what happens when your image just isn't right. Source Output I'd make an AviSynth script for this if I understood at all how its indexing system worked. Of course, it's notable that my method is definitely different to Randil's, and certainly worse.

Nice! I should really dig up the lua scripts I wrote and post them. But I probably won't! Cause that's just the kind of guy I am this week.
Sure, when alden says it, it's funny. But when Flygon says it? Oh no! Either way, I'm a fan of this project, feel the need to share that.

This TAS depresses me so much that I am using a reaction image to convey my dismay towards this horrid beast.

A combination of the above, so that you look sillier when voting for the sake of voting.

Then simply force posts to be more than just "I voted yes", if it's a special 'voting' post, then somehow force the user to explain why he liked the TAS, perhaps by a minimum post length or such.

It's not possible to DeDup a video twice. The limitation is there due to limitations in the plugin we use. We could DeDup even more video frames, but personally, I don't think it's a good idea (it has very severe seeking side effects with some players, and necessitates lowering the keyint to compensate).

Well, I'm sorry if OGG doesn't require the silence at the beginning of the audio file to be cut off so that it syncs in most players, and god forbid someone get's a player that actually compensates for the delay automatically, undoing the work intended to keep it in sync. That, and you'd be surprised on how much of a standard MKV is.

Why don't we solve the problem properly and find the proper new samplerate for the sound output.

Does the popularity of the game's region, and source region of release count for anything regarding as a good reason? For example, basically no-one outside of the United Kingdom and Europe has heard of the game Mega Lo Mania. While it was localized in America as Tyrants: Battle Through Time, it was incredibly unpopular. Basically, I feel that limiting games to the US versions of them can end up completely missing the most popular audience for the game. Ironically, this has lead to me planning for the Amiga version instead (as far as I am aware, only the Mega Drive version got localized properly for America). Though, admittedly, my example isn't the best anyway. The Amiga version has mouse support and some really easy to abuse bugs regarding Nuclear Warfare (as well as other bugs just being plain easier thanks to the mouse), but I am derailing from the point here. I just honestly think that the games popularity in the given regions should also be considered.
