Lastly, I'd suggest splitting the hacks from the demonstrations.
I agree fully, technically the two are completely different things (Unless you are making a demonstration run of a hack which... would be really confusing).

Wait, what? I'm amazed the run got improved by that much. I'll encode this when I am insane enough to bother.

Archive.org Encoded at 373, with the audio at q0 (64kbits), with a filesize of 59.9mb. The currently published movie is encoded at 350, with the audio at 32kbits MP3, ending at a filesize of 61.4mb. Not too bad if I say so myself, but I still think someone should pick this up with more advanced encoding techniques (Unless Aktan's encode somehow broke the 61.4mb barrier).

While we can easily make a exe from a swf, I am sure the swf needs to be decompiled to add the TASing features. Unless someone is insane enough to create a flash emulator.

Flash games could work, but I don't think the authors will appreciate their works being decompiled for the sake of TASing... Then again, several other games have already been partially disassembled by TASers, so, I have no idea where to stand on the subject. =|

For each Sonic TAS we get, the score countdown to level ratio just gets larger. Okay, after some unusual issues with the subtitles (They're working perfectly without compromises now), I'm encoding it. I'm unsure what bitrate to use, but I assume 280 by my calculations. However, if the previous TAS used motion detection, that'd be helpful to know.

There is several Famtasia such as 115M that has archived files. I assume they use the older codecs TASVideos used to use.

I'm pretty sure its a buffer underflow. Basically, he literally moved from the horizontal pixel 0 to 255 in the RAM.

I much prefer Aktanusa's encode myself, sure, it's 300kb bigger, but at least it is lossless under 1 megabyte. Hell, it's small enough to be used instead of a torrent, if not quicker to use.

I suggest playing it back with an up to date version of ffdshow and using VLC, it will play back perfectly. What are you trying to play it in?

It's nearly impossible to pause the jump right, that and it's such an obscure glitch. I guess they just never noticed the glitch.

That was a simple pile of fffffffffffffff, in a good way. Yes voted. Archive.org Recommended screenshot Video is encoded at 80, audio at -1.4. I've gone as low as possible while keeping quality using standard methods, I'm leaving this to a more advanced encoder. I've tried other methods, but they just don't look good to me. The video is 470 kilobytes and the audio is 150 kilobytes, I'd make the audio smaller but my alternate source is unfortunately desynchronized from my encode. REMOVED DAILYMOTION LINK, WATCH AKTAN'S AWESOME ENCODE INSTEAD, SERIOUSLY, THAT MAN IS A GOD OF LOSSLESS. Or the YouTube link in the first post. =P

I just watched, and WTF'ed appropriately. Assuming this gets published, can anyone suggest any screenshots? This is all I got so far, apart from another slightly less entertaining one. Lossless encode at 7.82mb: Download Mainly intended to see if I could shoot for something smaller then Aktan's encode, and at this rate, the movie may as well be published lossless anyway. My lossy encoding attempts are earning me water that refuses to cooperate. The reason it is lossless is because using a lossy encode of good quality will end up with the same size as the lossless encode at worse quality, if this movie does get accepted, I highly recommend you let me publish it with the lossless encode simply because it isn't possible to preserve the quality lossily in the water and credits sequence without making it bigger then the lossless encode. The ratio is 0.782:1 anyway, much below the TASVideos.org standards. Also, since I know adelikat will not upload this to YouTube: Enjoy I will only reveal the DM URL (It is currently private) when it is published to not steal Aktan's thunder.

This. Why buy something when it is more functional pirating it?

Keep Teddy survives, it's amusing enough to warrant its survival. I agree with everything else though.

I know, I thought it desynced too. I was nearly tempted to put in a subtitle saying 'Don't worry, it isn't desyncing'. =P

I'm very happy to see there is an actual interest in this game again. May I please ask this question however, is it at all possible to boot Zanki mode into the Time/Score attack modes? All my attempts ended in failure, though, I have not tried using the level select in that fashion yet.

Well, no? It depends, I have no life outside of the internet, and I get constantly bugged by the upload, it's just so annoying. It's like a bomb you don't want to go off, and you are stuck next to it. The only thing you can do is wait to see if it goes off or not, sure, you could take a shower, but that only takes off 10 minutes of the bombs time before you have to come out, lest water restrictions reduce your water pressure to a much lower degree. Sure, you could watch some porn, but not even the worlds best man (Lets just ignore the man that managed to fap for 24 hours straight, he scares me) can't last the whole 3 hours needed, unless he seriously wants a case of blue balls. So I am stuck here, in front of this computer, mocked, mocked I say by this devilish website, giving me no escape, laughing in my face. Why must thy devils fruits be the only way for reliable MKV access. ... Sorry if that sounds weird, I have to read Edgar Allan Poe's various short stories in order for school, it's driven me like a madman.

I'm not surprised, I am not afraid to admit I am a pretty bad encoder, if anything, I am the man least suited for the job. Seriously, has anyone taken a serious look at my connection? It is nearly impossible to upload videos everywhere in a decent amount of time! Sure, you fiber optical boys will see archive.org fail on a 300mb MKV and think 'Oh, I'll just let it run again for 10 minutes, time for a shower!', but I don't have that luxury. If it fails for me, it takes another 3 hours of my life. I'm still very surprised I am a publisher because of that fact/limitation.

While I agree that 'resync' events could be used, it does defeat the purpose of movie files only having button input in them (Ignoring SRAM and savestates). It'd be more productive to have someone that can have a real say on the issue to give input though. =P

I agree completely, it'd both save my hair and time in encoding, as well as simply making it easier on everyone watching. Though, thats just me.

Thanks wonderfully mate, and also thanks to the person that already added the link. Also, I just realized someone I forgot to thanks, the wonderful man Raiscan. ^_^ klmz, the two screenshots aren't related, sorry to disappoint.

Bleh, I get so many suggestions. I personally agree with you on the -2, one of the folks on the IRC channel thought -2 sounded okay, but evidently, I am not the only person that thought he was wrong. Yeah, -1 added only 300kb. This will take a while to upload to Archive.org and Mediafire (The quality will not improve on DailyMotion, they encode their audio at a bitrate of 96, -1 will not provide any noticeable benefit). New encodes Mediafire Archive.org They're just 300kb bigger. Also updated the torrent that only I have access to.
