Nicovideo, seriously? You need to go through a crappy registration process to view videos, and the player doesn't support skipping. Sorry for complaining, but if you're going through the trouble of encoding it, why not make it as accessible as possible? Anyway, based on the WIPs, certain yes vote from me.

Rumor has it that they just found a way to save a frame on the Lakitu skip and had to restart from scratch.

This run is so epic it deserves a commentated version by Morgan Freeman.

Definitely publish, whether that means obsoleting the existing run or publishing both side by side. Besides being just a notch more fun to watch, the level of optimization in this run is simply insane, considering how fast Taco & Kriole's run is already. It would be cool to have a table of the number of frames saved/lost per room.

Very nice. And yes, a non-glitched run of this game would be awesome. I hope someone will find the time to make it.

Wat Well that's... interesting. It could certainly be used to do a faster any% run. Skipping pretty much everything and going straight to Kraid, getting varia, one PB and enough E-tanks to break in to LN (2-3?), then rofling all the way through the rest of the bosses skipping everything in your way.
Legitimate "any%" or not, I *have* to see this :)

Wow, I didn't notice this publication until now. TACO AND KRIOLE, I LOVE YOU GUYS. There, now I'm going to download and watch it! Edit: I'm impressed, of course. Need to watch again. Loved having the power bombs as a countdown on Ridley and MB.

This submission gets top score in every department from me. Can't wait for glitchless and 100% runs of this game.

Looking at movies page, there already is a system to sort movies into categories, so at least by the looks, it shouldn't be hard for someone familiar with the code to add a "Game: Super Metroid" category (say). But for all I know, I might grossly underestimate the actual work involved. Don't get me wrong, "no one has time" is a good enough answer for me. I don't have time to do this either, even if I were given access to the site code. I know what it's like to run a hobby project. (I was more interested in whether there is a strong technical issue, or philosophical disagreement with allowing more publications for individual games.)

This video is incredible. Thanks a lot for making it. It should be published on TASvideos.

I think most people will agree that TASVideos needs to rework how it publishes movies so that there's a place to put these "super niche" videos (that are made primarily for fans of the game) without having to give them the same prominence that the more standard runs (any% and 100%, and maybe low%) have. Once that's done, Saturn's 14%, the SB 14%, RBO, et cetera could all come out of the woodwork.
Indeed. Just give the most popular games (Metroids, Marios, Zeldas) their own sections. This shouldn't be hard to do. Why is it not being done?

I think Kejardon was silenced by Nintendo secret ops just as he was about to reveal the truth...

enter the underwater room? fight the incredible hulk? equip the space/time beam? fetch the powerbombs late? empty the statueroom pool? cross the noobbridge fast? broke the god-damned game?

Praise the glory of Kejardon! Patience be with His disciples, the mere men, who are but Sunday gamers next to His infinite wisdom. His word shall be given unto us by Him, when He so desires, and His word shall give us enlightenment and salvation.

Sorry for the noise, but I'd just like to say that this awesome game is way on top of my TAS wish list. Eagerly awaiting further progress.

I've been crunching a lot of numbers lately for this game. I really think that the route I posted a few pages ago, might be the fastest for both in-game and realtime. Though some slight tweaks might need to be made.
Details?
