Is there a way to forbid certain combos of input? Ex (1): I know that at some point in the sequence (more or less 600 frames) D-pad Right & Left will be used but NEVER both together at any specific frame. Because when I see him make attemps I can see sometimes the bot presses both < > on some frames wich is useless. Ex (2): Prevent the bot from having input sequences where he presses: 1.<2> 3.<4> 5.<6>7.< Like putting a command where you tell the bot to press and hold any direction for at least 2~3 frames before changing the input? Thanks for the help ? Anyone...

Talking about the route... what's happening after Jabu since we can't deathwarp in order to avoid changing the odd mushroom into "cojiro" (i think...) Bomb over the king from the other way too?

dont worry CF, Its really easy to do and you can do it without losing any health! Taaadaaa!
Is there any way to do one and post a .m64? Just to get a better idea as to how to perform it (without NL). Because all I can manage to do are ground jumps. And in the tricks section the Non-NL version is "currently being worked on"... ?! Thanks a lot.

Well basically all it would be is manipulating the menus until the season is over... I mean it would be a short movie so it's not so bad, but the entertainment value of watching someone waiting a particular frame or moving the cursor around the menu to manipulate the outcome of a simulated game and then look at a Scoresheet and repeat the process 162 times (+playoffs) seems a little tedious. It would show a perfect & fastest way to get through a baseball game, but it wouldn't entertain much. My 2 cents.

Does anyone know what frame we need to get to birdo's area to get the previous egg in 1-1 ? Here's a WIP 10 frames faster than Alden's WIP (He's at 2288 where I'm at 2278) just after the ladder glitch. It probably doesn't matter since I get the same egg anyways but here it is... (I tried a few time to improve Alden's Birdo fight without succes... didn't try for long though I'll try it thoroughly tomorrow, so this is where it stops). http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/522295710/GLOBE-peach-only-smb2.fcm In case someone is still working on obsoleting Genisto's Peach only run ?? *shrugs* -Should this be in a Peach Only thread or in the SMB 2 thread it's fine?

It must have been discussed, but why aren't you doing BotW early (http://youtube.com/watch?v=oQE-MQo3pbY) for bomchus instead of the 8 or so minutes it takes to do spirit early? Kokiri Forest>Kakariko Village>BotW>Hyrule Field>DEATHWARP>Lost Wood>Goron City> Keep it going with the route...?! (Should take less than 8 minutes, Or am I missing something?)

Why is it that we need the letter from the bottle in adulthood again? EDIT: Stupid question indeed, should have read the route more carefully! Thanks tho.

Could anyone list the exact steps to turn N64 runs (*.m64) to AVI? Also list the settings to use with the different avi encoders? Or if there's any 3rd party program used in the process, etc? Anyways, just a small tutorial for total newbies at recording runs.. Thanks!

*slaps himself* Thanks a lot, from what I've read the only way to prevent this is to savestate a lot and watch movie from start to the end and look for any de-sync. Should have read a bit more before starting another topic ;).

Hi I'm trying to record a run for Zelda: OoT mostly just for fun, but when I start the playback everything de-syncs at some point and link starts running into walls, slashes with his sword in the middle of nowhere, and does a whole lot of things I didn't do it the run. (He started doing it the first time in the middle of Hyrule Field and the second time near Hyrule Castle before getting the Weird Egg. So now, I'm playing for a couple of hours straight then I watch the playback, and I lose 2-3 hours of playtime because Link acts all f*cked up and I need to re-start huge parts of the run. Is there anything I should know about the input plugins or did anyone experience the same thing ? And how did you fix it? Or is it normal and it's a well-known issue while doing TAS ? The rom is the V1.0 version and IS the good dump, so it's more than likely a problem with the emulator or the plugins.

The mupen64 movie isnt actually the same movie as the Avi one... Just want to know if its normal?! Cause I'd like to see the button input on some of the tricks used... as well as timing as to when to input the commands... wich is impossible with the Avi version
