I think going for the fastest time is better than walking five minutes on foot. But of course that depends on how much is going on while walking. If it looks really interesting and impossible to do in real time, that could also be nice.

I just watched the movie: By pressing B you can skip the mission text messages (those with close-up images of the people) - that saves a bit of time. I don't know if that's the only thing that made me faster but my frame counter was below 29880 after finishing the three missions when I once tried TASing the game. But I gave up. Here is what I did finish: GTAA 1:27'27 Feel free to use anything useful of it.

how can one miss a <sarcasm> if it is that clear? I mean, you do not buy that emulator, so Tub's statement of wanting money back does make the sarcasm very clear. And the other three sentences are also sarcastic, easily to spot.

It's nice to see progress on that game. It's one of the games where a TAS will look really cool because of the speed and damagelessness. And when you beat existing world records, it's even better. I wonder if it wouldn't be possible to let a programme calculate when the best moment for a take-off is to get the fastest possible time without hitting the edges? But maybe that would take too much time, even more than just rerecording the levels with begin moving at different propeller positions.

I'd like a minimal run more than what is done in Acmlm's run. The clicking, bombing and staircase building everywhere where it's not needed got a bit on my nerves - especially when it is used in 125 levels. So the minimal needed clicks would look much cooler because it would look more relaxed than when you are doing things the whole time. Locking the playfield on the first lemming (centering on him) while he's walking towards the exit might be better for the time between the needed actions. At least in my personal opinion.

Definitely include the Lost Vikings - 3 simultaneous players TAS (Sega Genesis). It's by far the most entertaining TAS I've seen on this site because of the high difference to what you would encounter when playing the game yourself - except for when you normally play your games with two friends :) Most other TASes are just the same game played only faster, but with three players exactly knowing what to do it looks just amazing. And the game has good music, too :)

yep, that was my next idea. Or to be exact I am still undecided if I should take GTA 2 on the Game Boy Color (I think that conversion is far better - at least it has more lively streets in it, I don't know if the missions are errorfree) or GTA Advance. I might try GTA 2 - I just hope its missions are without errors, the same development team made this game. To Bag of Magic Food: I looked at the walkthroughs at GameFAQs, but both for this game only tell about Liberty City and even they say something about an unfinishable mission. I might know the reason why no walkthrough for the other two cities exists, because nearly all of San Andreas' (second city) missions were uncompletable due to errors/bugs.

My original idea was to do a 100% run of GTA. But because there still isn't a rerecording function for a Playstation emulator, I chose to do this run on the Game Boy Color. Now while TASing a bit around with the game, I noticed that many missions are full of bugs (missing arrows, missing vehicles, missing people, people walking through walls, arrow pointing to wrong directions et cetera). So a 100% run wouldn't be possible, which already discards my original idea - because then the fastest thing would be to get all multiplicators and just finish the shortest mission of all to leave a city. I nonetheless recorded a TAS that goes from start to the last city (with death abuse to skip missions and half-made missions, not really that great - and because of the empty streets I couldn't even dodge cars often enough). But after getting enough money (or so it seems) in Vice City Part 2 the arrow points to a place in the city where there is nothing which would end the game. I wonder if this game was even tested by the developers? Most missions can't be completed and when the game cannot be completed, too, it is very strange. Well, here is the TAS - it's not directly WIP anymore because I won't bother any longer with this bugfilled game. I just wanted to show what I've done to at least somebody. Grand Theft Auto (U) [C][!]: 57 min 33 sec Maybe it is of some use (or most likely not - except for wasting an hour watching a car driving through empty streets).
