I actually did this with the Rygar "Fastest Time" TAS. The ending of the music as well as the beginning went very well with the game. Epic Ending = Epic Guitar Solo
You know what the best strategy for doing this? You should look at how long the actual gameplay of the movie is compare to an actual song length. That is why I want to try my run with A Boy and His Blob (since it is a short TAS) to Loverboys "Working for the Weekend"

Well I am at Lake Hylia. I should superslide over to a set of bushes. Manipulate 10 bombs as well as 10 rupees/2 Blue Rupees(so I can fish). This would give me 17 bombs after the superslide, minus the bombs/bombchus to get up to the hut to fish. Is a bombchu still required for the Ganon early? And is there a video of getting up the mountain?

Will the settings still be the same? i.e. Will my bottle be on B when I reappear? I thought that the settings would reset itself after dying, which is why I thought option #2 was the best.

Thats understandable. The reason I ask is just because hex editing with OoT has its issues(AKA knows this). Also, this sounds weird but can speeding the video playback when the pause screen is in effect be possible when recording an .avi? Possibly cut out a couple of seconds each time it goes off? I would ask these questions in IRC but I am at the hospital and its giving me error messages.

I know for a fact that route 2 is the fastest. Here is my proof:
I need to learn the Prelude of Light which will warp me directly to the ToT. Why learn it if it has no use, esp. when you HAVE to learn it. That way, after doing what I need to in Lake Hylia. I can warp there and avoid having to take the owl or supersliding to the Market and just have direct access to the ToT. Also, the superslide from the Market to Lake Hylia is about 5-7 seconds longer of a superslide than from the Forest to Lake Hylia. Route #2 from mwl's earlier post is the fastest method.
So
Option Two:
Kokiri Forest
Deathwarp + reappear in ToT
Temple of Time - Learn Prelude of Light
Hyrule Field - Superslide to Lake Hylia
Lake Hylia
Fishing Pond - Swordless Link
Hyrule Field - Item manipulation
Warp to ToT with Prelude
Temple of Time - Warp back in time
Warp forward in time for Light Arrow B
Ganon's Castle

Sub 2 hours will be close! I lose 3 seconds grabbing bombs but I will gain 4 extra seconds killing myself faster than my previous WIP with a bombchu. The only mistake I made was the beginning of the game where I was in Hyrule Field and didnt skip the owl. This might sound like a crazy idea but if it is possible, since hex editing is a problem with OoT, can 3 .avi's be made.
1 of Game start to entering Hyrule Field
2 of skipping the 1st owl until Guerdo Valley
3 from Guerdo Valley until end of game
I think the latest Nero does a good job at video editing and .avi splicing. I could give this a try if no one is willing to when I am finished.
The reason this would work instead of hex editing is because no items will be picked up and no items will be used. Same amount in inventory.
The owl scene takes ~ 24 seconds and skipping it will take ~ 4-6 seconds to skip the owl entirely so ~ 20 - 18 seconds will be saved.
Wow, 150 Pages. I give 10 more pages before this run gets complete!

Yeah, I realized that after viewing my video after I sent the latest WIP in. Its okay though, I needed to go back and redo some things.

*I do think the boss fights could have been a little faster if you keep throwing objects at the boss(while he is on the ground). There are times when the players are just standing there. I tried doing this run but gave up after a while because I thought "Playing on Hardest Level" was recommended. However, it is a big difference over time which this site is mainly about. Good Job
