Interesting from a technical perspective. Okay from an entertainment perspective.

It's Mr. Domino. I'm disappointed in the lost entertainment but it's still quite entertaining. Yeah. Still entertaining, though not quite as much.

From the credits (all of these letters in the names are floating/oscillating oddly, so I assume there's some significance): SCAODSNAWYAATEOEAIHZJATOMCBOMIOTYCGJRESHROYUEWSEKHOTNHKTESMCEBINJJAYA Not sure what that's supposed to mean, but I know what this TAS means: 2 hours of solid(ified) gaming entertainment. Yes vote.

This is a technological marvel that sadly has zero entertainment value as a video alone. But it is a technological marvel that should be celebrated.

"worst TASer of all time" Puh-lease. Not even close to that. Don't put yourself down so much. This isn't SMB in like 7 minutes as some guy recording their speedrun and claiming it's a TAS. So ya forgot about a couple things? You know what? You realized it and are going back and fixing it. Keep on rockin' and lookin' forward to your next submission of this!

I seem to remember someone mentioning when the DPCM bug first was recognized to be exploitable that perhaps only the fastest game completed using it would be accepted, since at this point we aren't playing a specific game, we're effectively playing the console itself as our game. This way we aren't obsoleting anything unless a different game itself allows for faster execution of the DPCM bug to credits warp. Perhaps this is something to consider? Not sure...

I'm actually going to vote no on this because there's another submission of this category that's faster.
That's not how this works...

One new trick, mainly. Just a ton of uses for it.

Considering I think this is supposed to be "No Major Glitches", yeah, I think you can see why some people think that. And if this isn't supposed to be NMG, then why not use spacetime + duping expansions + escape warp to make it faster? (for the record, that is a rhetorical question, since I know this is NMG)

you and I both know this is likely going to Stars regardless because the majority of people on this site just enjoy seeing games broken more and more (unless it's from a version change, god forbid) so the people who don't actually enjoy it are going to get shut down regardless.
No, you’re being shut down for complaining about something in this movie that makes it unwatchable, despite the fact that a separate encode was made with the soul purpose of Combating this issue. This has nothing to do with me saying you shouldn’t dislike the movie, but that your criticism is just unjustified. This is no different to if you were to complain about how in sonic tases you cant see sonic because he’s so far off screen, yet camhacks exist to combat that issue.

You are correct I just want someone that Votes No to give a reason. It is perfectly fine to Vote No everyone has an opinion. I just feel like its someone who just hates Super Metroid and didn't even watch this TAS.
If they HAD to give an opinion why would the poll be anonymous to begin with. Also again there are very valid reasons to not like this specific Super Metroid TAS. For example they may be fans of less glitchy prior TASes.
And just to remind you, that thread had seven pages (on my posts/page count, IDK about yours) and multiple people expressing the same viewpoint. You can call me out all you want but my opinion is not alone here.

No vote. Impressive from a technical perspective, but the constant graphical glitching is even worse than in Any% (where I already made my opinion clear) and heavily detracts from what would be a great run otherwise.
Uhh, you DO realize there is a graphic fix encode that DOESNT show the vomit that you dislike right?
No, I would have never guessed that the second encode that says "fixed graphics" has fixed graphics. /s I watched that version to actually understand what's going on, since the normal version isn't watchable. I was being very simple since I'd already made my opinion of this technique clear in Any% where it was first introduced, and you and I both know this is likely going to Stars regardless because the majority of people on this site just enjoy seeing games broken more and more (unless it's from a version change, god forbid) so the people who don't actually enjoy it are going to get shut down regardless. But feedback is feedback and if I'd just silently voted "No" then someone would have inevitably asked "why the no vote/who's the silent no voter". I have no qualms tying my online name to my opinion, so I man up and make it clear when I take an opinion that is not the "norm". I don't want to go down that path of conversation again regarding superjumping (it was annoying the first time), and out of respect for Sniq (and any other potential authors) on an excellent technical achievement I won't bring it up either even if you want me to. This is an excellent TAS. It's just not an entertaining one to me.

Spikestuff, it may have to do with him playing the credits out instead of leaving input blank there. Disclaimer: I do not know the TAS in question, but this seems to be a likely source of the issue.

YT on YT. I don't have the files required to play back any input file locally. Insofar as downloading the files, it's just never really been something I think about- I often only watch a TAS once so it ends up being the same regardless.

I am sorry to see that had to be your 5000th post. Insofar as the voting goes, I expected three runs to shine with one specific run winning. I said as much when the vote started in the discord. In order to avoid biasing anything further I won't explain more until after the vote is over.

I did want to say my numbers are based on GCN NTSC version, however, I do not suspect there is a change from that version to GCN PAL. The numbers I have also correspond with Orcastraw's numbers based on their independent research (Orca also adjusts to 480px tall, thus their numbers will be slightly larger. I believe they suggest 656px by 480px though I don't have the site offhand to check). I do remember Dolphin having 608x448 as TP's resolution. I don't know exactly why Dolphin has that, as I'm almost certain it's not quite correct. Ultimately for true 4:3 the target base resolution would be 612x459, which has 11px vertically to spare; resizing can obviously be done as necessary. As a side note, I do find it interesting that the 50fps PAL dump was 608px by 456px while the 60fps PAL dump is 596px by 448px. I will ask a few people in the TP community regarding this since I don't know why that would be the case.

I'm going to say I really like it, but if you look at TP as a run without any knowledge going in, you sure as hell ain't going to be able to follow the whole thing, and there *are* parts that are boring about it. Much I love it, I don't exactly feel it's a likely star.

612x448? EDIT: After some discussion, to clarify: TP's resolution, after cropping out the overscan, is 612px by 448px. I also wanted to add this: I really like where you put the TAS information at. Clever spot.
