pirate_sephiroth, we have very differing views on relationships :P In all seriousness, though, thank you all for your advice. I'm gonna take it as having to wind down on the matter and have a little faith. Ask her directly about it and take her word for it. She's trusted me with alot, why shouldn't I trust her? I need a spa or something... mmbossman: Very cautious confrontation. I don't want noone to get hurt. Least of all her. mz: As I said, I have nothing against her chatting with other guys.I just don't like her flirting (Which she hasn't, so..). Twelvepack: *Looks up sociopath* Describes me perfectly about two years ago. Again, thank you all.

I don't want to (have to) hide anything from her. She's asleep, but I will confess to her that I've read the logs later. Yes, she'll probably be furious, and rightfully so. I'm still not 100% sure I should have done it. (Especially since it proved nothing but paranoia)

I agree with not jumping to conclusions, but it's like the first couple of things clogged the outlet. Now every little thing no matter how insignificant, just add to the paranoia instead of just pass through like they should. Sorry for the improvised analogy.

We can't afford the trip for both of us. Long story short, I'm already chipping in for just her.

Yes, I know, not a topic you might expect on this forum. That's why it's in off topic. No, I don't know why I post this to people I havn't and probably won't meet or know better. No, I don't know why you should care. So I've been together with this woman for almost a year now, we've lived together about 3 of those months. She moved 500 km for it. And as far as I can tell, I love her (AFAICT, 's my first *real* relationship of any sorts). I can hardly stand the thought that she's not celebrating christmas with me (but I respect and understand that she wants to celebrate it with her family). The thing is, since she moved so far, she don't have that many friends here, mostly people I knew beforehand, so she's chatting with peoples on some community sites.I don't mind her chatting, even with other guys, as long as they ain't flirting or nothing of course. So recently I... *caught* is kind of the wrong word since I'm not even sure something was going on... her seemingly showing herself off over the webcam. She gives me confused and somewhat contradictory excuses but assures me she did nothing. That's happened twice. It's further aggravated by how she recently got anxious about how and where chat logs are stored, and even more so when I asked why she'd wanna delete them. One more thing before my question; after the chat log debacle she's gone straight to getting some guys phone number from the community site.Messaging him for almost a whole day (He did flirt with her in the beginning, she let me read over her shoulder, but she "scolded" him for that in a subsequent message and now says she put him straight on that.) Thing is, this guy lives not 20 km away and apparently goes to the same school as her. Ok, wall of text over, the question: Am I right to be paranoid? I felt terrible about when she seemed to show herself off, and I feel terrible now because I actually read the chatlogs that are there(Nothing in them).Dear god I just don't want to lose her... In before "Emo post is emo" and "You should talk to her" (I already did, she assures me I'm wrong and thinks I want to control her. If I did, I wouldn't let her out of the house.I don't want to control her, but not lose her either..)

Could it be (related to) the emulator bug Dehacked found while working on his rerecording version where hardware signals to read the pads simply aren't sent any more?(Or something to that effect)

* Given that you're playing Luck Mode, how much does it really matter to grab the cross? Your stats as Alucard will get nuked anyway. You have to land on an additional ledge to grab the cross, which probably costs you a few frames.
I did the powerup juggling just for a bit of extra entertainment, and because I was at first going normal mode and just hexed in the name change. This will be addressed.

* Can you luck-manipulate the zombie to not show up, so you don't have to jump over it?
Not in any of my tries, no, a zombie always appears when the lights go on. I could stop and kill it instead which would be much faster than jumping over BUT more zombies would have time to spawn further in and the warg would have to be dealt with, which would ultimately be slower. I do kill one zombie though. See if you can spot it =P

* You do a short-hop off the ledge at the entrance of the mermen/Pot Roast room. I'm guessing this is to make you land sooner, but it also means less time dashing on the ground, which is significantly faster than jumping. Have you compared your times with and without the hop?
IIRC, you have to do a short hop to clear the gap.. Maybe I'm mistaken though.

* You can play with the "Now Loading" screen - it'll "wave" in different directions depending on input.
I know, I'd prolly already be doing this if I wasn't making the movie almost entirely in Notepad++ :P Makes it easier to do frame precision stuf, IMHO, but playaround stuff is harder this way.

I use an x360 pad for all my emu gaming, which is pretty sweet. Just struggling getting the analog sticks to work with some PCSX plugin or other. Got some good use for leftover buttons in older emu's too.SNES: LT - Save state RT - Load state LS Up - Slot+ LS Down - Slot- RS Right - Fast Forward Also rearranged ABXY for SMW convenience :P

Once it gets the kinda plugin diversity that firefox enjoy, I'll prolly switch over. For now, it's a few steps in the right direction.Oh, and they should fix middle mouse button scrolling for all users >_>

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gsq7QtVn4WE New WIP courtesy of mz's capturing and uploading (not to mention emulator :P) Up until Death skip. Changes will be made such as shortening the jump after the rock tunnel, not killing the last 2 wargs (To allow a level-up stopscreen later on) and investigating how to get big tossed the wrong way.

http://cmmdb.heliohost.org/serve/bug.txt Damnit, I used to be able to post shortened links.. Also, regarding states and lag: I've found it pretty much always work if you simply load the savestate twice. Works for me when I load states in SOTN before the initial loadlagperiod is over.

This may well be a moot point since you're working on a new movie format, but hell... v6 still ignores the last line of the movie. If you still wanna look into it, this SOTN movie should end with a slide just after grabbing the cross. If I edit out the last frame (which is empty) in say, Notepad++, the slide is not performed.

Got a pretty big bug here: If you load a savestate while replaying a movie (Read-only mode doesn't seem to matter) it loads the state, but the frame counter is reset and the movie plays according to the frame counter. The case: My SOTN movie contains a start press at 600ish frames in.If I let it continue into gameplay and save and load that savestate while replaying the movie, the emu will wait 600ish frames and then pause then the recotrded input follows normally. Expected behaviour: Frame counter to be set as it was when state was saved, and let the movie play from there.(Unless of course it's past the end) Umm, not sure that was as clear as I intended.. :/ EDIT: This is for v0..06

I'm not sure about that, I guess the game is loading something. Every different game starts at a completely different frame, and the GPU doesn't show the frame counter until it draws the first frame (for example, Driver starts at ~100 and Megaman Legends at ~50).
Check. That does make sense, although shouldn't you be able to just draw the UI?

Ahm... Could you upload what you had until now? I'd really like to see what an Alucard TAS looks like...
I had some desync issues at the wargs moving it from my work computer to my lappy but once I fix those I'll send the v0...03 movie to ya.

Whoa, I didn't expect updates already. Awesome sauce. *starts SOTN over* Would it be possible to denote in the UI somewhere just after such a lag frame occurs? Like Gens lag frame counter or somesuch. EDIT: Also, what's up with all the blank lines at the beginning of the movie files, and the frame counter starting at ~600? Stupid question maybe, but still. :P EDIT2: Also, it would be nice if the frame counter(one of them) kept going after the movie ends, with a message about it ending instead.

Yep, I do that there. First form lasts all of four seconds (1:20-1:24). zggzdydp, which did you mean? EDIT: Just after Death skip now.

and i believe the glitch ziggy is talking about is shown at the beginning of this run, which a Luck Mode TAS should probably be emulating quite a bit of.
That's what I was doing. You mean where Drac's health is drained very quickly by tossing holy water just the right time into hydrostorm?I already do that, slightly faster than the youtubed version now actually.

There is? Could you please explain that glitch, I can't seem to find anything of the sort on worldbeyondwalls.
