I was waiting to see a new fastest non memory corruption run I definitely enjoyed this run. The only part of the run I disliked was the Agatha battle other than that it kept me amused.

Its even slower than the non TAS world record http://www.mariokart64.com/smk/coursen.php?cid=0&hl=56.45 One track TASes dont tend to go down well here either from what I have seen.

Sorry if this question has already been answered but will the color dungeon be completed in this run? I'm really forward to seeing the color dungeon being TASed

It obsoletes Guano's movie although this movie is heavily not up to par. Also the fact that this run will be beaten eventually makes no difference. Since the movie does beat Guanos run by almost 40 minutes I'm voting yes regardless.

i worked on this a little bit with hill top act 1 i got it done in 34 seconds the reason i didnt go on the lower route at the start and spindash my way to the first snake tunnel is because knux cant jump as far as sonic thus wasting time http://www.geocities.com/kikpantsoff/ks2.zip

when i think this topic can't get more hilarious it does it looks very funny when xebra is pwning everone here cause he can prove he has more knowledge than everyone else at this game regardless of what everyone says (i know this from experience as he shared me some strats when i was playing to make a sonic 1 and 2 run and a sonic 3 competion mode run) but i gave up on them cause i have more interest in Phantasy Star Online for GC(RPG). what makes Xebra more funny is he has apparently pwned the god of gods SprintGod quite some time ago everyone at Sonic Center who trys to pwn him phail miserably. Rusty and FoxLuc come to mind

What Xebra Doesn't Realize:
  • He doesn't own exclusive rights to making a TAS of this game, or the strategies used in his WIPs.
  • His opinion on style is just an opinion - not fact - and opinions can vary from person to person.
  • A five frame improvement that causes a two second delay is, in fact, not an improvement at all. In a related point, I am not his Bisqbot bitch.
  • Answering only one part of a post with a witty comeback and leaving the rest unanswered does not make you look smart, or funny, or even aware of what is going on.
  • My Green Hill Zone is 48 frames faster, not 4.
  • Standing on the screen for half a second after the end of Green Hill 2 is a shitty, unneeded delay, especially when going for fastest time. (Hey, I can cuss in bold too!)
  • Taking invincibility later in Green Hill 3 in order to save six frames is part of optimizing, and is an improvement.
Hopefully the following ideas will help you cope: What Xebra Can Do if He Doesn't Like My Run A Handy Checklist to Follow by JXQ! (recommended options in boldface type)
  • Shut the fuck up.
  • Do his own run.
  • Stop posting immature, closed-minded, negative, arrogant, argumentative comments in these forums.
The next time you'll see me discussing this run will be in its submission.
i couldn've said this better myself spoken like a true TAS player

its obvious Xebra has abandoned this run but i made a couple of vids here is star light zone act 1 being complete in 24 seconds this is probably a perfect time if it isnt perfect the most you could improve on this would be by 5 frames at the most Star Light Zone Act 1 here is my second vid of Scrap Brain Zone Act 3 being completed in 19 seconds there may be room for improvement in this one and as an added bonus this vid also has Final Zone being completed in 1:13 Scrap Brain Zone Act 3

well i havent had a chance to continue my speed run but i might think about looking back to chemical plant zone act 1 and 2 and see what i can do about that i think i know where the shortcut is for that lvl its at the start where you go down the long slope then i think you jump im pretty sure sonic can perform it as well but ill have to record that lvl at 3% so i can get everything right but i can easily catch up to Hill top act 2 again because i know all the shortcuts and know where to jump, but as for Chemical Plant Act 1 i almost got 22 but i think there are places where im not jumping properly to get the fastest speed possible 21 maybe be possible if it is a perfect run but i have my doubts anyone would get a perfect run through that lvl like when Xebra is attempting 24 for Green Hill Zone Act 1 i just think its suicide wasting time like that oh yeah i also might think about doing Emerald Hill Zone Act 1 try for 18 meaning i may restart my speed run again but never fear i can get up to where i left off pretty quickly :)

Due to because its a great game and i dont want to let anyone down and there be no speed run for this game... So Xebra can have Sonic 1 and ill try and nail this game
