Well, I appreciate the response. I could definitely see how the xpac would lead to issues without proper emulation. As far as length, I was curious if any glitches were known to expedite the process. Clipping or damage boosts that can lead to areas meant only by use of special abilities obtained in future levels through eagle feathers. I can tell you from personal experience, I've had some clipping issues after being boosted into walls, ect. This was after recently playing the game again, since I had that restro feeling.

I played the first 3 Turoks on N64, and then a few next gen versions that failed on many levels. Nothing came close to what I experienced in this title, despite its flaws with lag and mechanics. The levels were complex and huge. I often got lost, something that not many first person shooters have been able to replicate, and the music was on another level. In my opinion, this is an area that can really add another layer to a game. The enemies were also much more interesting; much more then future iterations. Mantids, Blind ones, Purrlin, undead and the occasional Raptor kept things interesting. The game was not just an excuse to make big dinosaurs to shoot with guns, like I felt in more recent versions. With that said, is a TAS possible? I have zero experience in this area, and am afraid I don't have the time to produce, much less learn how to to best achieve this with my current obligations. Although I am a huge fan of this site and all the retro gaming I get to see destroyed, and this was a game I felt deserved a to be TASed. There will be those that argue entertainment, and length, but I've seen many longer games with less action and entertainment. While this is entirely subjective, I thought I'd ask if there was any interest by others, or if anything was currently in development.

That boss encounter on stage 6 was incredibly impressive. As a person who spent many many hours on this game during my childhood, I can tell you that killing this boss with armor undisturbed from the gargoyles was damn near impossible. The way you disposed of them truely gave it that TAS feeling. Anyone who has experience with this game can vouch for that. Bravo!

I am not not wise to the Super Metroid hacks, but I played just about every official release of all the other games. Handheld and console. After watching this, it wasn't quite as entertaining as I thought it might be. Not do to the author, but more so the actual layout of the game itself. Poor level design, and repetitive power ups clumped together made mince meat out of one of my favorite classics. Add all the terrible glitches and I was more saddened to see this game turned inside out. Perhaps if the hack was more creative. I used to find Doom 2 map hacks quite entertaining, and often times more original that the official game. With that said, I vote no.

On a side note, are you still doing that Genesis Ghostbusters run? It is currently my most anticipated run.

Long time lurker, and first time poster. I will say, this whole incident had me skeptical considering it's timing. Although, it was so well prepared, it was easy to see why people were becoming so frightened. As for me, I was waiting until today to see if it truly was just a joke. Unlike some, I didn't take it so personally, and understand the nature of why you did it. Sometimes hard work and dedication is unappreciated. Not to mention unsupported. I have absolutely no clue how to TAS, encode, or do any of the other things that are required to complete these works of art. I just enjoy seeing some of my childhood memories completed in ways that no human, or very few, are capable of. The entertainment I get from watching these movies is unmatched, and appreciated. If anything, this has made me want to contribute to the development of them, even if it can only be in the form of a donation. I want to say thank you, instead of angrily bashing you all, for what you did. While some will always be negative, and quick to judge, I saw it as something that can only benefit the growth of this site and community and ultimately more TAS. There's nothing quite like logging on daily, and once in awhile seeing that amazing new submission of a run you have been longing to see. There is no comparing these to human speedruns, nor do I think that was their intent. It is to try to produce the perfect conditions, however unlikely, gameplay and completion of said games while creating a huge amount of entertainment in the process. Regardless if the conditions are theoretically able to be reproduced on a console due to a small technicality. Thanks again for all the work you guys do to entertain the countless lurkers and people who don't even contribute, but often have very harsh opinions. Now for just two questions. Where do I send my contributions and when is that Ghostbusters run coming out for the Genesis?!
