I would rather see a 1P run instead. While 2P is faster, its hard to follow and hard to TAS.

It was actually misunderstood. She only has 20 dollar bills in a safe. She counts them like this: 4 20s according to her makes 100. As she counts this way, it ends up being 2180. So she counts 4 20 dollar bills and puts in her calculator 100 instead of 80 which was the mistake made. And when she was done, she ended up with 2180 under the belief that 4 20 dollar bills make 100 dollars. Realizing that 4 20 dollar bills doesn't make 100 dollars, what does she actually have?

A story problem that goes like this: Jane was counting her savings with the belief that 4 20s make 100. So every time she finds 4 20 dollar bills, she adds 100 to her calculator. She ends up with 2180. However, she realized that 5 20s make 100 and not 4. How much money does her savings actually have?

The level up system is not broken. If you go to the first boss underleveled, you will be spending a lot of your potions even with critical hits. If you fight 1 enemy per battle throughout the dungeon, the boss goes down quicker. Maybe zeromus in this bootleg has a high defense stat.

I have attempted a tas of this game a while back, but I put it on hiatus when I got lost after rosa was kidnapped by kain to zot tower. I didn't know how to get there. According to this review: Link to video He thinks its not possible to beat it as he spent 6 hours on the final boss. Maybe this could be the longest tas ever? I wouldn't say longest speedrun, as Baiten kaitos took 2 weeks to beat in a single segment run. But that was only because of how items evolved. This game is nonstop. If anyone wants the rom, PM me. I'll go through the dirty work again to get as far as I can. Unless I saved it in userfiles(which I doubt).. It needs to be remade anyways. This is a game where grinding is is necessary. Or the boss fights will take an eternity. One more thing, it is possible to beat the game. As a deleted video on youtube suggest. He played it at 64x speed and beat the boss in 1h30m. This amounts to 3 days straight. But he obviously didn't manipulate luck or use any kind of speed strategy. With the emulator running at 64x speed, that means menuing errors. As for the game itself, its actually pretty decent for a pirate. The boss fights(for the most part), resemble their SNES counterpart. The portraits on the charaters do as well. In battle they also match. So graphically its not that bad. You could beat titan, but that would take ages and its faster to grind instead.

This game is well suited for a tas as it encourges you to break objects to maintain boost. In the first mission is a chase one and you can constantly push the car to its destination to save massive time. And that ^ would be too risky to do in RTA. I understand that these games are very hard to truly optimize, but tas tools at least provide enough for entertainment.

A few years ago, I was working on a burnout legends tas. The reason why I dont boost to the right is because back then I didnt reconfigure my controls to make it even possible to frame advance and turn and boost at the same time. Later in the WIP I do fix that but once melonds is ported to bizhawk Im gonna restart this. Hopefully no desync issues. Link to video And yes, its severely unoptimized and in need of a remake.

With meldonds hitting bizhawk soon, the desync problem should hopefully be fixed. The second I encounter a desync with any game, I give up. I dont think youre lazy at all with this. Desyncs cut motivation and I may try this game once melonds is ported and share if whether or not it syncs.

A star wars game I never heard of until I watched a evolution or star wars video on youtube. Not really sure if a tas would stand out much, but currently there is no complete playthrough of it on youtube and even that would satify my curiosity.

You may want to post that on the libtas github page instead of here. This topic is just a wishlist, not bug reports.

I watched the good ending run, and for the most part it looks pretty good movement wise. Controlling Harry is like controlling a car. Also optimizing movement in silent hill would only be understood if you actually played it. I did notice him hugging a wall while trying to get past it at points in the run, which looks rather lazy. And whether or not the enemies spawn at random would make his run unoptimized too. He (under the assumption that enemies location could be manipulated), must have failed to do that. Which was the same treatment he gave to RE2.

I am aware of that, but as far as I know, no tas of the wii version exist whatsoever. And for some reason windows 10 doesnt like vulkan with upstream dolphin I would have to test it on linux, but a native install would be required for decent speed. Although I could dual boot.

Im well aware those characters are not playable without hacking. Im just asking if using just memory editing is enough. I looked on romhacking.net for a ram table but none is there. Sorry if I wasnt clear.

Looks like the dobbie station project is in faster development now. Over 1000 commits! Before it was in some pretty slow development which was a bit disappointing but thats finally being sped up. That day we see it being integrated into bizhawk will make me want to skip work! As in my real life job that keeps me alive :]

*Necrobump again* Is it possible to play as the enemies? Like playing as Ansem? Or even cloud? Would it require rom hacking?

Someone is in the works of a bully tas: Link to video As usual, the cutscenes are not skipped and it looks unoptimized. Not only is the movement bad, he even runs into walls at times. Even the rta run looks more optimized. And does anyone know if theyre using upstream pcsx2?

Looking at this again, and I think its safe to say libtas is superior to hourglass at this point. Although running wine so far has desync problems, you could still slow down the game and use frame advance. Which is basically a tas, and could be useful for segmented runs. Unfortunately, linux has its share of annoying issues as well similar to hourglass. Like running arch linux behaves differently at times and certain distributions cause some functionality problems. Having to swap operating to test 1 thing can be pretty annoying. And when programs update, they may not start anymore until fixed again. I read the above message and understand why windows xp has the best functionality. Would it be easier to just focus on windows xp only games? As in games that work with windows xp?

You might fall into a problem where the cue doesnt exist with the bin. In that case, find a cue maker for sega.

Apparently a "longplay" on cubex55 looks pretty optimized: https://youtu.be/qaRK4FmTpPg Doesng it look like frame advance was used?

Me too! I would imagine jpcrr would be more confortable to tas if merged! Probably even run windows 98 on it.

I'll be restarting the run using Anakin only. Really glad I found the junkyard trading. At least it will look tased. Reason being for Anakin only is because of his turning is great. Which really cut my motivation before.
