*bump* Nightmare creatures 2: basically bloodborne demake. Its really crazy to see how similar bloodborne is to nc2. Its almost like they ripped it off or a remaster or it. Thats just where the gaming industry is going. Remasters

This is like need for speed most wanted where cops chase you while racing. The physics engine looks dated. Not even any jumps to perform. Despite that, I would tas this once octroshock gets ported to linux. Dated driving physics means easier to tas. And the more realistic, the more harder to optimize. I do like the environments though.

Link to video Updated tas. It looks a lot better. Some questionable actions, like why does he slid on the wall, always takes a taxi, and some of the on-foot movement makes no sense. Still, its much better.

Good start. Despite being unoptimzed, I'll watch it anyways.

Surprised that no one mentioned any of these: Final Fantasy iv the after years: while this game is hated by many, I'm curios to see a tas of it. The RTA record is at 8h50m. With how long the game is and high encounter rate and high luck manipulation, you can imagine how much time can be saved. Midnight club 3: I always love seeing scary driving skills! A lot of racing games don't use checkpoints on an open-world map and that removes some routing. Still a good very good tas candidate. Running over everyone during a race would be funny and satisfying. Grand theft auto liberty city stories: While driving games are very difficult to truly optimize, I'd love to see an attempt made. Just a flawless speedrun with close calls everywhere. Star wars battlefront 2 Assault on mos-eisely(sorry if that's spelled wrong): This mode is all heroes and villains. I would like to see Jango fett destroy everyone. Star wars battlefront elite squadron story-mode. With tools opens up risky strats.

On the submission page, it says 7:58:17:77 obsolete the 8h04m tas. But this page claims 8h03m. Whats up with that?

Why does it say 7h:58m on the submission page stating it obsoletes 8h04m run?

Oh. I figured. Anyhow, I found the prototype battle system: http://tasvideos.org/userfiles/info/66683873316799121 The rom that I used had to be downloaded as there's no other way of getting it. The battle is not optimized, I wasn't even sure if it can be beaten. Was playing under uncertainty. I may redo it putting more work into it.

This video came out not too long ago: Link to video It has 7 acts as of writing this, and I'm having a hard time telling if its an NES ROM WIP or some PC game made to look like an NES game. I recall years ago, some prototype was made using that engine. It was available for download(not sure if it is anymore). I'll have to find it again. Its outdated though, and that above video might be an enhanced remake of the 2005 version. In almost every video, they're asking for a download link. And because not all the videos are up, maybe they will release it once its finished. The latest one came out like 2 days ago.

Good news and bad news: bad news: I'm still lost with what to do with ffmpeg. Good news, I found a way without ffmpeg: Use image sequence writer in a separate folder(doesn't work with saturnus). Then use wav writer to get an audio file Install shotcut. Drag the first frame to shotcut. Click the file and go to preferences Check image sequence Go under video mode, custom Name it tas or something. Under frame rate change it to 59.727506 And figure it out from there.

I would love to see vigilante 8 second offense quest mode with no indirect attacks. Not sure what the weapon is called, but it fires into the sky and follows an opponent. Because its so slow, it doesn't always hit. So it would be pop some shots out there and hope it connects. Not very entertaining

Here in Michigan, despite a mandatory mask rule, the cases are still as high as they were since "panic shopping" time frame. September 11th was the "deadliest day ever" in cases. Breaking a record since April 1st. Yeah, real funny. Little 9/11 terrorists attack reference. The cdc has been accused of faking those numbers. The US president has covid 19 now.. as least that's what they say. I'm convinced this whole thing is a big hoax to take down Trump. Trump is doing just fine. By election day, those numbers will magically go down to 0.

Do you mean build ffmpeg from source? I downloaded the git for that. it said to run --disablex86asm under ./configure. And I did that and then make install and then got a permission error. ran sudo -i to get root and couldn't seem to change directories..

Under tasvideos movies/psx/final fantasy vii by ligecko, the mp4 file provided has a major part cut for some reason: right after disc 2 is inserted it jumps straight to a menu skip performed before icicle battle. The YouTube encode doesn't have this problem.

I'm honestly pretty stumped on what to do with ffmpeg for bizhawk linux. It says to create a symlink pointing to a certain version. After googling this, I was still confused. Any help?

Can you for the love of everything stop pushing trash? No you can't because you love to push trash for no bloody reason and it's obvious (with a track record) that you never check stuff yourself. I gave reasons as to why. I've repeated myself multiple times to you about it. Woops gave you the reasons why. These reasons are still 100% valid at this time. Enough is enough. Stop it InfamousKnight, this is stupid. Ok even though Woops talks about it in his post I'll just give the short summary of AVI Dumping. AVI Dumping has been part of PCSX2 for a long ass time. How reliable is it? Flip a coin. Heads; it crashes. Tails; it dumps.
Those issues are old. Lots of things have been fixed since then(and are not using hacks). Its almost like you didn't even read what I just said. Dolphin had the same issues.

I dont know that yet. I do work full time at a very physically demanding job so I don't have lots of time on my hands. I'll do my best.

Ok, so if I completed a movie in pcsx2 and it synced well for anyone who tried to sync it on their machine, and with a handful of games completed with no sync issues, would that be acceptable? Reminder that upstream pcsx2 does support tas tools. And for a while now too. And recently its had a number of fixes. And most of the hate towards pcsx2 is its over abundance of hacks. Like I said, they're fixing that. Again, I'll complete some movies without having to splice or anything.

There's been some debate on whether PCSX2 movies should be stable enough for movie submission, but it appears PCSX2 has greatly improved their tas tools over-time. And the hacky plugins to make games work is starting to get some treatment. Like they're finally removing the hacks. A developer who was helping dobbiestation is now assisting pcsx2 team with removing hacks. So could we look into this again? I mean, dolphin has serious desync problems. Maybe PCSX2 is better in terms of sync reliability.

Nice! A lua script would definitely increase motivation. Glad to see interest in this spark again.

007 nightfire 100%. 100% would be easier than any% as you won't have to worry about "score" route in any% Apparently you need a certain score to proceed to next mission. It makes routing a little awkward. I have attempted a tas of this game a few years ago but a desync happened and I lost interest. The movie wasn't very optimal with visible mistakes.
