A 100% run would take what, 5 hours?

One tactic I expected to see but didn't - although I skipped sections - is Combo abuse.

I actually didn't know you could get that jinjo with the surface quickdive, that's neat.
Given that I don't have a working TAS environment, it's possible I'm mis-remembering.

Thankfully after MM, there's really nothing in TTC that I feel will trip me up. The only things I need to manipulate are blubber so I can grab the jiggy in the cutscene, and the blue jinjo at the start so I can collect it without actually pressing B to dive down into the water.
In case the manipulation doesn't work, you also have the option of a quickdive (A+Z at the surface)

I'm very disappointed that this didn't turn out how I wanted it to. I lost around 10 seconds to RNG in this level. The purple guy at the end just would not see me and still nobody has figured out how to change the way enemies act.
Break the beehive with an egg to manipulate the jiggy closer to the enemy?

It's possible to get an additional 3 coins in 8-4 by timing out at the loop and beating Bower on the next life. No vote. i.e. I haven't voted yet.

If you cause two random trajectories on the same frame, do they always have the same vertical speed?

And killing the tower termites differently doesn't change how the outside termite behaves?

Can't you use one of the termites in the tower instead, either to manipulate the jiggy directly or the outside termite ai?

There's this up+down glitch I use to bring some entertainment, which glitches Pingu's sprites a whole lot. The down side to this is that it slows down the game, but man is it fun to see Pingu morphing into Japanese letters and splitting his body in pieces... even though doing that too much freezes the game.
Sounds like potential Arbitrary Code Execution.

It looks like you maybe could have saved a couple of feathers with an upwards beak bomb towards the nest.

The early 100 coin routes felt wierd, but I mostly can't put my finger on why. The only concrete example that comes to mind was in Azure Depths, slowing down to pick up complete underwater coin rings instead of manipulating the bouncing box's coins to be between the 100th collected coin and the red coin star.

There are three published runs that use ACE to beat the game, which use different glitches. The current record run uses a sprite swap to eat a normally-inedible Chuck to get a bad jump from a glitched power-up. The original "Executes Arbitrary Code" run uses a sprite swap to stun an object that isn't supposed to be stunnable and has a bad jump in its 'stun' function. More details here. The oldest version uses a bad pointer to a nonexistant sprite in Yoshi's mouth to overwrite part of the stack, which contains the return address to a function related to a swinging platform. If you want a minimum effort ACE setup to experiment with, you can play one of those movies until the frame before ACE, then take over.

Hmm... The launch platform is spinning. The sides of the launch platform are moving quickly. Can you not use them either to gain speed or change your angle for more travel time? You say you need a higher platform to start with. Is it impossible to start from the target platform and return to it with the assistance of the spinning launch platform?

As far as DPS goes, Sheena's attack hitboxes mostly start on one side and kinda wrap around her hand, and IIRC they can be spell-cancelled roughly as soon as they hit. So she can use spell-cancels to chainsaw enemies that are positioned on top of the starting hitbox of one of her attacks.

Isn't this already known, by storing a jump and riding the staircase up?

The problem is getting enough height off the lava, right? Is it possible to store a jump from the lava on the lower elevator and carry it to where it does some good?
