Fan-tas-tic :) Beautifully worked and presented run... A real joy to watch. Yes vote, without a doubt.

Good find! I was wondering why Mario hung around the top of the blocks for a couple of seconds, then I noticed Bullet Bill making a beeline for the flag and it clicked... Yes from me.

And in regards to collecting all the bubbles, skip 'em. No real point in collecting them, since it's totally boring. Instead you should try doing some entertaining manoevers to avoid them all, kinda like avoiding the apple quarters on Rug Ride on the (old) Aladdin run.
Agreed. As long as it's made interesting enough, the asteroid levels are definitely bearable to watch as part of a tas. I really enjoyed the current run, so I'm looking forward to a possible improvement. Good luck guys :)

Looking forward to it mate. The wips looked very promising and I think it's a good candidate for a tas. Here's hoping you pick it up!

Just wait until you see it.
*Struggles to wait patiently* This de-equip trick, can it be used throughout the game, or just at certain points? Good job for avoiding the first enemy in Magus house by the way. Every little helps ;)

Well, that's the first level licked. How about the other 255? :) Joking aside, how much variance is there beween levels? Different mazes? Faster enemies? Larger Map? I haven't played this version so I don't know and I'm curious.

I remember seeing something similar to this on someone's avatar. It's bloody hypnotic :) Sticky, if you find it, post your findings back on here. I might be interested in it too...

I would've voted yes just based on the optimisation of the Marble Zones, but optimising most of the other levels too (even if some of them are only by a few frames)? Yes. Hell yes.

So... will this get touched up and re-submitted? Surely this will get cancelled sometime soon? Does anyone know exactly how much time was saved in SLZ3? That zone made my eyes go funny as much as all the new zipping :) Oh yeah, great improvement guys. What a team.

By the way, have you used/are you planning to use Chemist's super level trick in any of the two upcoming levels? :)
That's a good point, personally I would like to see it included seeing as it's a decent time-saving glitch, but it is AKA's decision... Go on AKA you know you want to

carretero, you're a damn machine :) Isn't it about time these glitches were combined to improve the run? I'm guessing a sub 15 minute run is now possible?

Cobra, I don't think you're far short of producing a half-decent run. It just needs a bit of fine-tuning. I actually didn't think a 'no b' run would be very entertaining, but my opinion is open to change. :) Oh, and...

Post a screenshot perhaps? Or a nugget of gameplay? If its different enough for a separate version, go for it.

I'm very impressed this has broken the 8 minute mark. A well deserved yes vote (and my first vote on a submission... good choice to start with I think :) ) Edit: I thought it went through, but obviously it hasn't. I thought I was right in thinking I had to get to 50 posts first... :(

Agreed, its a pointless glitch. And a hassle to see it too. Although the knuckles' playthrough was mildly entertaining... ;)

You have another fan :) I've viewed pretty much all of the testing so far, and I'm impressed to say the least. Anyone who puts in this much effort into a lengthy game like this deserves a bit of support, so here's mine.

Thanks a ton everyone. It's interesting how different everyone thinks about these games, and why they are liked or not. I think this list is the first where I've seen two people vote for X-2 as a favorite, which makes me happy because it'll be the next one I pick up after X.
That's fair enough, I did the same, but be prepared for a less captivating game. And annoying characters... :/
(I also like the cross-over of the summonings/aeon names between VII and X)
Yeah, you'll get that with pretty much all of the FF games. Some people think its tedious (or lack of originality) but I like seeing the continuation of some of them (Bahamut goes from strength to strength). Anyway, my top 3? Hmmm... 1. 7 (Unsuprisingly. Check out the avatar) 2. 10 3. 9 9 sneaks in before 8 because the game is marginally more entertaining overall but its pretty close between the 2. Also I miss out the old-schoolers because I didn't play any of them until after 9, and while I still enjoyed playing them all immensely my standard for interactivity (for the lack of a better word) had already been set. Make sure you play 4, 5 and 6 though, they are still too good to miss.

Wiz n Liz would be nice to watch, as long as the run does not last too long (30 minutes of bunny collecting gets boring).
I would tend to agree in terms of length, but I guess it depends on how entertaining it is.
I somehow don't like Shadow of the Beast (I wanna jump off/on ladders ^^). However, Exilant made a tas at speedruns.net, in case you want to see one. It is with the slightly easier Japanese rom, though. Still, a reason to tas it, is that according to wikipedia, the genesis port is very hard, only beaten by a few players.
Yeah, I saw that speedrun quite a while ago, which is why I think a tas would be good to see. Personally I could never beat it :(

I would love to see a tas of this game. I too think it will make a great run. Also, I saw Shadow Of The Beast and Mega Bomberman suggested, which I second. And secretly Desert/Jungle Strike, but they don't seem feasable for tasing. Which is a shame. Aqfaq, has your link to the Genesis game list disappeared or am I just looking in the wrong place? I can't seem to find it.

Seconded. Flip, when you found the glitch did you realise you could bounce all the way to the boss chamber straight away, or was you just trying to find a different route to an emerald? I'm always impressed with these type of glitches :) Anyway, a special lurker 'yes' vote from me.

What an amazing run. I hadn't watched the other runs until I saw this one, and it not only convinced me to watch the entire back catalogue (even the 100% run), but to register too. Good job guys.

Merry belated Christmas to all. To celebrate, I've registered :) ...Although about 4 years later than I thought I would :/ Also, to say I'm disappointed with Xmas is an understatement. I was hoping to get a PS3, instead I get two PS2 controllers. Even though I have two that work perfectly. And I don't play my PS2 much anymore. Go figure.
