Claimed for HD encode. HD encode exists. Nevermind.

I'm having a problem with the embedded players. If I click on the Watch Now Using Archive.Org button, then change my mind and click on the Youtube button, it does not bring up a Youtube player. It appears to bring up a smaller JWplayer instead, and it does not play anything. Also, JWplayer seems to reduce the quality of encodes, whereas the old Archive.org embedded player would play them back in their intended quality as far as I could tell.
Yes, this is something I've noticed as well. I'll take a look and see what's going on.

The movie listings are behaving slightly odd. It used to be that I could navigate while the page was loading, but nowadays I can't scroll anywhere until the page is done or I've hit the stop button.
What browser are you using?

Yes, by "Open Forum", I mean everyone could submit and discuss site features they'd like to see.

I like the new front-page, but there's a glitch on the random starred video. Cutting off a paragraph mid-sentence is bad enough. Cutting it off mid-html-tag leads to problems: With the news-div on the right, there should be enough room to display the full description anyway, wouldn't it? Otherwise, it may be more robust to only cut off after a line-break?
Yes. I was going to make it so it only gets cut off after a line break. This still needs tweaked though. @skater43: I will take a look at it. Edit: Added the correct movie to 1118M. Will look into the movie module soon.

Has anyone used MeGUI for encoding rather than using the command line? I'm thinking of using it for encoding, just not sure how well I can optimize things with it.

Sorry Truncated, I didn't see this post until now. I will see what we can do about the 'hub' for player information. If anything, we may just link to the user's forum profile.

I can see two options with this: 1.) Allowing the player to select automatic screenshots 2.) Allow the player to select which frames the screenshots should come from Of course, there would always be the option to manually upload screenshots. I think that about covers it?

Every time I click on the "Mark all topics read" link inside a group, I automatically then click on the "TASVideos Forum Index" link in the next page to get to the main index page instead of the group page (where it redirects in a few seconds if nothing is done). This has been a minor nuisance for quite many years. I don't think it makes much sense to return to the group after all topics have been marked read. Could this be changed so that clicking on that link returns directly to the main forum index page (not even going through that intermediate page which informs you that all the topics have been marked read, because that's exactly what I just did)? Edit: Oh, and another thing: I don't know if it's a bug or a deliberate choice, but I have noticed that if you log out of the forum, it will mark all topics in all groups read. This can be a huge nuisance if you log out accidentally, making you lose track of everything that had been unread. Could this be fixed (iow. logging out does not mark everything as read, so that when you log in again, what was unread is retained).
I do believe this is a bug with the version of phpBB we are using. We're looking into upgrading to phpBB 3, but that's still a little ways off.

We are currently looking into many options for this. We have a few ideas on how to implement this, but we have yet to finalize the method.

To help with the organization of the site, we have added Senior and Starman roles to the site. The Senior Role - This is a modifier for the Judge & Publisher roles. When assigned it grants the user various admin level privileges related to managing the queue. Senior judge & publishers have the ability to assign new judges & publishers respectively, as well as exceed size ratios for torrents, Also, a senior level user is expected to be the "go to" guy for that group. They handle disputes/conflicts and have the final say when there are disagreements amongst other judge/publishers. Senior publishers would also be expected to help train potential new publishers. The Starman Role - This role is assigned to the user responsible for maintaining the special Stars. For simplicity and to minimize conflict, one user is in charge and has the final say on this list. While he has the final say, he will carefully consider any arguments posted in the proper thread. Please post any questions you may have to this thread!
