I don’t think the power ups are RNG by the way… but it’s been a while since I’ve played, I don’t know.
Yeah, regarding items, there's almost zero RNG. But I myself don't really find Touhou time-attacks very interesting. It's basically using the strongest shotgun, getting full power and point-blanking every boss (since the stage's length is fixed aside from the midbosses). The game is way more interesting to score in tool-assisted runs, like Kopiapoa has been doing.

Wow people are still talking about this. I remember testing this out so many years ago... Hopefully true 60fps comes in 2015.

Touhou only works correctly in Windows XP, so you'd better use a VM. The later games (I believe MoF onwards) also need you to remove the BGM files in order to sync, and you need some trick (that I don't know very well) to save replays. Here are the TAS High Score for each game, by the way.

Hi guys. Will Hourglass ressurection allow us to use savestates/loadstates in our PC games? I am looking for a program that supports savestates in *ANY* PC game. Are there any alternatives out there?
No, there aren't alternatives. It only works in simple games and doesn't support mouse yet. If you just want savestates, your best bet is using a Virtual Machine. But you know, no rerecording, just savestates.

Werster just got a good time using the glitch! 2:04:07 RTA. The prior glitch part wasn't very optimal, but he had a lot of luck with having the glitch set up. Iirc getting the Ever Grande Fly flag took 4 attempts, and the IFG move took one attempt.

I swear you said "I'm done with Pokemon for a while, I want to TAS something else" not too long ago...
That was before this WTW became well known. There was almost no room for improvement without a new skip like this. Anyway, this TAS is awesome. Voting yes! And looking forward the next ones. :)

I didn't watch the entire movie, so it wouldn't be fair for me to vote yes or no on this. I did, however, want to ask a question: why do I see movies of this game where the author completes a stage in thirty seconds or less? Wouldn't it be faster to complete the state in just barely over thirty seconds so that less time gets eaten up after the level while the game tallies the bonus points?
This has been discussed before I believe. It's commonly believed that the in-game time should take priority over RTA, since one can just wait at the end of levels or go slower routes to reduce time bonuses or coin bonuses, for example.
Ah, okay. I wasn't present for that discussion, and honestly I don't visit these forums much at all except when a new TAS comes up and I want to comment on it. Thanks for filling me in on that!
Not the very same game, but video from Werster shows the difference.

Yeah, but Coin Case wouldn't be allowed, or else the run would be Dyshonest'd.

i think he/she make an all gold symbols tas? not a glitched tas?

I plan on doing both, but since glitched any% seem to be in high demand right now, I'll be doing that first.
Other than that she's been letting her "slave" pokés die in the WIPs, which hints Pomeg Glitch.

It certainly be faster than just corrupting the Fly locations flag into allowing you to fly to south Ever Grande, and dealing with further battles with a Bad Egg that knows the instant victory move. Doing both in one corruption should be doable in a TAS.

My guess is somehow they're feeding input to a real 3DS and taking output from it, not that I know how it is done.

A lot (if not most) Brazilians are actually rooting against Argentina because of the long time rivalry. I'm actually cheering for Germany, I didn't mind the historical defeat that much, I personally had more feelings for Costa Rica and Netherlands defeat. I both want Argentina to lose because of that rivalry, and because I want CR7 to get the golden ball again and not Messi.

>185 MBs Wow. Also, this did look familiar so I went to check EmuCR (although I'm able to read spanish fairly well). The description: WinDS PRO is a Nintendo DS & GameBoy Advance emulator package. This have NO$Zoomer, NO$GBA, NO$MOOZ, NOZ, myZOOM, NGZoom, NO$GBA 2X, iDeaS (lol why would them even include this), DeSmuME, VBA Link & VBA-M. Seems more casual than TASy. And just two systems. How can this be 185MBs? It also seems to include Citra 3DS now. I don't know the point, since it can't (and will take a while to) run commercial games. The mascot is really sexy though.

The Netherlands played amazingly. Spain was really bad, but that doesn't take out the dutch merit. Poor Casillas, I feel bad for him. Also, the referees are doing hilariously bad at this start. This last game was decent at least.

Looking nice. I like the save states list, the lack of it was annoying in r81. Good work!
