Now that this published, can we expect a 100% run in the not too distant future?

Well, I vote yes on this due to entertaining gameplay and very tight tasing On a side note, I would like this game to have the option to be viewed in the B&W monochrome video sgrunt posted as an alternative.

While not as entertaining as the Wile E. Coyote run, it still blazes through the game in record time with pinpoint jumps. 8 for entertainment, 9 for technical

Very nice job updating your run. This time, for kicks, I ran the emulator at half speed to catch a glimpse at the foes you whizzed on by.

The rom it seemed to be recorded from was "Burger Time Deluxe (JU) [b1].gb" I found this one oddly entertaining. Seeing the chef constantly being tormented by ever-increasing legions of bloodthirsty sentient hotdogs, pancakes, hard-boiled eggs, and doughnuts and the little chef's desperate attempts to complete his mission of dropping half-ton sandwiches on the enemy stronghold kept it from becoming too boring. There were also some pretty neat escape tactics that kept the task from becoming too monotonous. Entertainment ranking 7. Good route planning and appeared to be frame perfect. It seems slightly improvable, though. Technical ranking 9.

Hey, that was awesome. I agree that this definitely showed a very thorough understanding of the game, while at the same time demolishing any percieved difficulty. 9.5/9.5 for me.

I wouldn't say you shouldn't use it at all. Just use it every once in a while or while leveling up.

I played this game way back when an found it kind of nostalgic run here. The cutscenes indeed take up a large portion of the run, though I found them entertaining in an odd sort of way. The puzzles don't look like they could be completed much faster. However, that aspect doesn't add much new after so many levels and seems to be regulated to one scripted solution, though I think some of them had more than one way of finishing the puzzle.

A good amount of action, a fun game, and no noticeable technical flaws. Couldn't ask for better.

The game may not be quite as fast paced or exciting as the NES Ninja Gaidens, but the game is still tough, the music is still great to listen to (even though it's on GB!), and the game was still decimated by a great TASer. Good work. Voting YES by the old system. :P
My sentiments exactly. I'll also add I enjoyed those little cinematics after a boss is beaten and that damage and the flamethrower move were used very well.

A strange amount a versatility in this game. There was very little repetition and actions were very precise. I agree with alden that the segment with the clone being impaled and killed while being tossed through a wall was a highpoint. The very odd ecological theme increased the entertainment value.

Very fun to watch "Indie" glitch his way through the entirety of the stages and it's short, too. Not only that, you make a mockery of the game's bosses. 10/10

The game was very fun to watch, particularly the boss battles. The segment with gil's bomb blast was a bit lengthy, though, so I subtracted one entertainment point. The technical aspects of the game were outstanding, so no points lost there.

Change your graphics plugin. For me, it seems that certain graphics plugins affected how the pause is displayed, which can affect the timing of the movie's input commands. I was eventually able to get it to work with the Rice plugin.

Oooh, a 100% run of Sparkster! You're right that autoscrolling takes up quite a bit of the game, but some of it is interesting enough and there was enough lizard and robot killing to make it go by well enough. The regular stages are very fun to watch to see rocket possum man slice through the stages. The last stage in particular had a very nice sequence between dodging flying spiked walls within a corridor and dostroying barriers to make it forward without taking any damage. I vote for this one to be published.

If there were enough entertaining glitches, it would probably make a decent run.

You guys don't get it. the first hour is not what is interesting about this run and you should stop rewatching it if you find it boring. Most of it has been seen in previous runs. It's the adult portion (beginning at around 1h15m in, chapter entitled "Light Medalion") that is the most entertaining (well, except maybe the water temple, but still).
Actually, I agree with this. I found little interesting in the child portion outside of a few odds and ends primarily because little differs from the published run. Once the Adult portion starts, I got to see a lot more interesting tricks done in the game that I've never seen before. It was a hoot to see the Fire Temple beated without the Fire Tunic as well as the bizarre time-saving trick of having Link die the moment he collects the Medallions. Also, I don't mind game-breaking glitches. Seeing the game played normally isn't particularly interesting, especially considering Hyrule Field takes an enormouse amount of time to cross without this excellent bomb/shield glitch. I also actually liked seeing Link zip through the Water Temple and actually THROUGH the boss door without a key. Those hover boots really helped skip huge sections of the dungeons I also agree that it's very unnecessary to have it published without the cutscenes first of all because there is input being done in the game at that time and secondly because it's much easier to skip them in a video file.

Guano's run should only be obsoleted when the time comes, which will be when me and AKA finish our any% run.
Yep, I don't think there's a hurry to obsolete the currently published run with this one, especially since this one aims to complete all dungeons while the other is an any % run. The upcoming any % run should be the one to properly obsolete it given the same goals.

I prefer any% runs to be done before 100% However, some games benefit from 100% runs in either showing extra portions of a game (such as extra levels), going tasks that are normally incredibly difficult, and preventing the use of warps. What first comes to mind here is the Donkey Kong Country games.

Some annoying backtracking, but this uses a decent amount of glitches (especially at the beginning) and shows very precise movements and strategy. I vote yes.

I think it's a worthwhile submission, especially considering how short this run is overall. Any miniscule frame-by-frame improvement is welcome.

I agree that this game has good TAS potential, especially sincethere is some added strategy in upgrading the pod racers.
