AKA, could you please provide a savestate after the initial cutscene (specifically after the log jumping in the first ten seconds or so) so that maybe people won't have to download all these AVIs? I'm making the perhaps wildly hopeful assumption that it won't desynch after that.

The switch wasn't useless, it helped with the infinite sword glitch. Although now you could do the web skip if you can figure out what's going on from the movie that was posted awhile back. And restarting from the owl would be cool anyway, since I, too, desynch there.

Just use Bugmenot. Still desynchs for me in the same place as it did for another person a bit back, when you're jumping backwards during the very first part where you have control after the cutscene, you don't quite make the platform and I can't watch the rest of the movie. Around 10200 or so.

I thought Guano already skipped it... dunno.
Different owl. The one outside the castle, methinks, rather than the one outside Kakariko. Cool trick, but that seems slower than just letting the owl fly away. Could be wrong on that, though...

Wait, I'm confused. Is the gate to Death Mountain is open after you defeat King Dodongo, or are you just going to bomb-hover over it? I don't think you could do the owl + Hyrule Field in 36 seconds...

So you're doing the King Zora skip after all? It was determined that it took less time to get a bottle via Kakariko or to actually wake the dude up than it does to skip his animation?

The only way that I can think of to even remotely take advantage of this would be to get the weird egg, get magic in the Fairy Fountain here, and get out (no Death Mountain seamwalk). Time doesn't pass in the fountain, though, so even with that I don't know that this would really be faster than just getting the Hylia bottle. You have to go there anyway to plant the bean, right? Or am I outdated?

Hm, I'm sure this has already been thought of, but is Talon at Lon Lon Ranch even if you don't wake him up (after either Jabu Jabu or Zelda)? Hopefully the answer is yes...

Thanks! Seems like most of the information on the Intarweb is about cheats that "get rid of it" (probably by lowering the maximum waiting time), but it's helpful anyway to know what it's called.

Mmm, lovely run so far. I desynched on the owl at first, but probably I have the settings too high to fastforward reliably or something. Keep it up! One question: does anyone know exactly what causes the pause menu problem? And/or is there a way to reliably disassemble N64 games?
