I don't think that's how real religion works either.

Maybe for the next one, there should be polls for favourite scenes? I guess it would increase the quality.

Science also teaches people to stop thinking. It says "We've done the thinking for you and we're much smarter and know more about the subject than you. So just take the things we teach you for the truth and it'll make you seem as smart as us."

Use the SpiderWeb Marketing System! (Sorry, I couldn't resist. What I actually meant to say was "Don't even look up what it is.")

Intro was a bit too long for my taste. OoT had a bad scene, the wood man stage was too long and Sonic Advance 2 had a slow looking stage. You can't satisfy anybody with the picks, but I guess very few OoT fans would have picked this scene. Anyhow, it's too late now anyway, isn't it? ;) Love it otherwise, hurray for the Moonlight Sonata! One of the first favourite songs I had. ^^

^ Epic science. Some users might find this video inappropriate or something, but it has pong in it, so this has to be the right place to post it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6hi99JdeBeY

But it comes with its own level editor!

I know, this isn't the right thread, but I just have to share this.. I hate this game! This has happened to me just now: The chance of something like this happening is like 3/4 to the power of 37, isn't it? It's impossible to happen. (I would have needed 4 purple balls to clear the first wheel.)

Seems like I failed. I didn't think it was really called logical anymore after not finding anything on my initial searches. Whatever, I hate that game. I still can't beat the "times change" level.. After all these years! :( Edit: Made it. >_> "more popcorn" is similarly hard. I hate this game.

Thanks! ^^ I actually have tried to use google. I searched for "logical" "dos game(s)", for "dos game(s)" "marble" and many more, searched some entire sites with dos game collections and screen shots for them (game by game), but couldn't find it anywhere.

I'm looking for this old dos game (or was it windows?). It was called logical.exe on my PC, though I'm not sure if that's the real name. Marbles roll in from the side of the screen and pop into the wheels below. You can turn the wheels by right clicking and send the marbles through a tube by left clicking them. Marble A rolls to the right, but won't fall into the first wheel, as it's occupied. It'll fall into the second one. If I'd left click marble B it'd go downwards and the wheel below would be filled with 4 marbles of the same color. This would clear the wheel. The marbles would disappear and the wheel would be marked as cleared. Marble C will go up and down infinitely until I turn one of the wheels. Would be really cool if somebody could name this game and its developer. Thanks.

I can't remember if this works for the PS2 or GCN version of Tales of Symphonia, but I remember you were able to run faster on the map by plugging in the controller while holding backward on the control stick, then run by pressing it forward. So, for one of these two consoles the actual range that the console can register should be higher than it seems at the first glance.

Scratch that. To get all numbers: (x is the total amount of capsules / 2 again) 100% for the first one, 2x-1 is the amount of capsules left, there's one that doesn't improve our status among them. 1-1/(2x-1) should be the odds for improving our status, shouldn't it? For the third pick we have two possibilities. We have a 1/(2x-1) probability that our next pick has a 100% chance of improving our status. That is if we've picked the same number as in the first one with our second pick. Or we could have a 1-2/(2x-2) chance if we've picked a new one. Because the amount is 2x-2 now and there are 2 bad numbers. This is so confusing.

Why do you subtract 2 and 4 instead of 1 and 2? Also thanks. Edit: I figured it out. Thanks again.

I have another probability problem. It may be very trivial, but atm I just can't think of a solution for it. Let's say, we have two bowls of capsules. One contains red ones, the other the exact same amount of blue ones. Both, the red and blue ones have numbers from one to "x = amount of capsules in total / 2" on them. Now we mix all of them up into a bigger bowl and pick x capsules at random. The other half of them gets flushed down the toilet. Some kind of wizard then refills the bowls with new capsules (x red and x blue ones), but you keep the capsules you already have. How high is the probability for each step that we already have a collection of capsules from 1-x? How high that we have all blue ones from 1-x? How high that we already have all of them? What if the wizard used some additional magic? We only pick one capsule at a time from the mixed up bowl. Whenever we do that the capsule with the corresponding number in different color disappears instantly. How does this affect the solution? Somehow I'm really confused over this atm.

Voted meh. I was entertained, but I found the run of the original game more entertaining by a good deal. Also, the run looks fast to me, but still improvable and the submission text doesn't explain why it wouldn't be. I don't think this run should be published, the meh just indicates that I think this hack might have some potential.

You can bet on black or red. which is approximately 50/50, not including green. EDIT: also it theoretically works for any other probability, not just 50/50.
That's the key word. If you can bet infinite times, that's true for exactly 50/50. But the the amount you have to bet increases exponentially, so that might be a problem. "...Well, I bet two solar systems full of money then! I can't keep losing forever!" Somehow I feel like having some sort of rice dish now.

If you play that strategy for a long time (like say, to make a living), you're bound to reach a point where you'd have to bet such a high amount that you just can't because you don't own so much money. Table limits just make you reach that point earlier. That, and roulette isn't 50/50 to begin with. Btw, stopping to play before you reach that point is also a failing strategy. If you do it once, you're likely to win. But if lots of people do it, there are some that lose a considerably huge amount of money before reaching their desired stopping point. The money you could lose by doing that is such a high amount, that it isn't profitable to risk playing the game. It's like risking 100$ for a below 2:1 chance to win 50$.

Warning! Believing this guy will cost you tons of money! This guy here seems to agree with FODA's programmer friends. And he probably gets paid to pretend so. Actually, this is called the Martingale betting system. There are no exploitable patterns. Martingale would even lose if there was no 0 on the wheel because nobody has infinite cash.

Very nice. If the test run is already that entertaining I'm looking very forward to the real one. Mad props to the author.

With games like this I always follow the golden rule that if I wouldn't be able to prove I haven't cheated after working my ass off, I am going to cheat instead or just not try at all.

Because it's like guessing lottery numbers on a blank sheet of paper and then avoiding with all power to get to know the actual results because you could have had the winning numbers, but haven't filled in a ticket, isn't it? Or is it more like being afraid of even guessing at all because you could be right without filling in a ticket? I don't know, I just don't get that kind of logic.

There are devices with which you can copy a rom along with a save file from your pc onto a flash gba something cartridge. What do you want to do with the shiny anyway? Show your friends? Everybody is gonna assume it has been hacked, unless it sucks stats-wise which basically makes it useless anyway. >_> And the really rare Pokémon are those with high IVs or whatever-V it was called. If you wanna be competitive I'd rather go for those. If you want to test teams or strategies I recommend using this instead of levelling up your Pokémon and wasting your spare time. If wasting spare time is your intention to begin with, I recommend online RPGs, or browser games like OGame, tribalwars or mybrute. There's at least some interaction with other people involved in these. Which might not be what you're looking for, but oh well.

Run received quite an entertainment boost. Easy yes vote. SMB warpless has never been one of my favourites, but it is now.
