Shouldn't method 3, phase 3 read Hide 1 Null 1 Hide 1 Bronze 2 Null 2 Bronze 2 Null 0 Hide 1 Hide 1 Null 0 Bronze 2 Bronze 2 ?

I agree comparing you to a butthurt little baby was a bit much. I was actually just trying to answer this:

For some people, including me, that's within the definition of awesome. You were probably just trying to be linguistically/logically correct.. Yet you say here that it isn't awesome (positive attribute), but just doing unintended stuff (neutral). If you use it in such a contrasting way it's likely that some people will misunderstand you, and then they could even interpret what comes after the "but" as meant to be negative.

I'm for zefiris' idea, though it would probably suck to encode games like Sonic Rush then. o_o

Except that in the end lots of the levels just look like non-stop running while manipulating enemies so they won't hit you enough to kill. :/ I've played the game a lot, but just couldn't get myself to be as much entartained as others by any of its runs.

Got a bit over 10 the first time, not having really played any of these games except for Mega Man & Bass. However, even there I didn't know the names, I've found myself trying all variations of Octopus Man and Chameleon/Lizard Man f.e. ;) Got Hornet Man because I was thinking of the X series. Stuff like that. But now I've learned the robot masters' names and am able to name all 80! *joy*

Because the old run is so outdated I'm for this one to obsolete the older. I just don't see much reason to keep the old version public. If somebody was interested in it for historical reasons, they could still find it in the obsoletion chain. Obvious yes vote btw, I mean he figured out most of that stuff all by himself. o_O It totally breaks the game, but is no glitch straight to the credits run either. Instead it follows a rather exciting route. I was very entertained and can't wait for an in-depth description. ;)

How about a contest of who can shave the most frames off of a certain run in the least time? ;) I vote for Super Metroid, lol.

First of all, I don't see anything wrong with having only three options. But five seems a bit much.. If there need to be more, I'd go with four.

The emotions are exaggerated for a comical effect. Exaggeration is applied in our culture too in comedy, it's nothing special really. You find the characters more sympatic that way, you see stuff where you think "Wow. Sometimes life is really like this.", you laugh because you feel superior to the characters (because normal human flaws are exaggerated). It's a working concept. There are also good mangas like Gantz or Deathnote where the eyes are drawn in more realistic ways. The Deathnote anime is really great, the anime version of Gantz sucks though btw. Coincidentally, both of these mangas/animes hardly try to be funny, but are more on the serious side. That doesn't mean big-eye animes can't deal with serious topics too though.

Ugh, I hate it when people don't know the difference. Pet peeve alert. The devil horns are the sign used for "enjoying the music." Thumb is holding down middle and ring fingers, while index and pinky are extended as far apart as possible. Understanding the horns, compared to I love you.
That's right, though you see lots of people doing it "wrong" in Japan.

I agree with Warp that the question should be changed. I dislike lots of the movies I think should be published because I understand how many others would like them.

See adelikat's idea here.
Oh, yep, I also agree with his idea then, lol.

What happened to the attempts of hovering to the fishing pond? It simply didn't work or it did but it's kept secret?

I'll drop an idea here that I just had. I'm not sure if it's a good one. It's that in a rating system from 0-10, the 10s of the voters who give lower votes in average should count more than 10s of others. Now often people refrain from giving low votes to bad movies because they think it isn't going to be published anyway, so why bother. This will force them to vote low so they have more voting power for the movies they like. I don't know how it would be handled best mathematically, nor am I sure if the idea is any good at all. [ (2*Rating-Average(of that User)) +10] / 3 would be a very basic fomula, I hope. I don't really have much of a clue when it come to mathematics. x_x Abuse could happen if users change all their previous votes to 0 to vote 10 to get a new movie published, so it wouldn't work for that, only for rating purposes. (I hope)

Cool it reads like DJ Slamb daN or SlambdaN like Slamdunk. The B actually confused me, then I thought it was just random letters.

Meh. I guess it's just still a bit of my Finnish background showing through. I prefer "a feather-decorated blue hat donning man" rather than "a man who dons a hat that is decorated with a feather and is blue" or "there is a hat. the hat is blue. there is a feather. the hat is decorated with the feather. there is a man. the man dons the hat."
I prefer that version too, the "who" adds an unnecessary pause in speech and it translates in my head to "a man... i'm now waiting until you get that part.. who blablabla". But I also prefer your Finnish inspired version when reading because it keeps me curious. Also when I read "a man" I already paint a picture in my head and with those added descriptions I have to change it which can be kind of annoying (a "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"-thing). When programming I also started out with trying to fit as much of trivial code into one line as possible, but later I was forced to change habits.

Ill try Horizontal velocity is quite complex to deal with, while "flying" at least Main problem is rather the MP .... I tryed to use some "fixed pattern" in level 1, with the result been im too much "high" at end :p I generaly curve for getting lower and i try not to use too long bubles for managing MP I wont pretend i know everything on this game physics, far from that, but if someone wants to give it a try, ill be more than happy to get a "real" fixed pattern yeah ...
My suggestion is you find out how to max out horizontal velocity and this will result in something similar to a fixed pattern everybody will be satisfied with. Try to find out how fast you can reach a certain point in stage one with a fixed pattern, then try to lower the MP consumption/height if necessary and find a working compromise. You should also figure out how to handle edges. Maybe it's fastest to push into the edge while falling until you're below it, maybe it's faster to start flying earlier from farther away. Those are my suggestions, the run certainly is trying to be fast, but it doesn't look like it would be aiming for the fastest time possible really. 7.8/4.2 btw

Sick! I was going to post something about how I think sub-4 would easily be possible with a bit of luck after your sub 5 run, but decided not to because it would have sounded very anti-climatic. And now it turns out I was right. XD Now, seeing your run, sub 3:30 also seems possible. You haven't been trying for too long to achieve that time after all. Good job on 6, bad luck with 11 and sheer pwnage in the last few levels! Also cool to see the final boss getting owned! ^^

I was actually surprised to get a sub 9 time as my first sub 10 one. I wasn't too cautious with the last boss though. Used some bombs, some ropes and let it stomp at the same place as often as possible. Congratulations btw! ;)

I guess because it doesn't skip the Saria cut scene. And you need a sword anyway for DoT skip and skipping the shield makes crossing Hyrule field slower. That scene is just too long.

There is a difference between graphical disabling (transparency) and real disabling of the C-Buttons. And on vines they're maybe just not usable because you're not grounded. But that's a very interesting observation you've made there.
