I guess the reason is that they were planning to use B as a fourth C-Button or something similar at some point. More than just a sword button in any case.
This sounds convincing. If we search for that value we can maybe find other occasions where it may work.
Getting off the horse, using the hookshot come to my mind. The latter would most likely only set that value once though. Using vines, leaving water, landing from a jump, pushing/pulling a block, throwing an object, ending a roll, planting a bean, ending a crouch/crouch stab, a sword slash probably too.
There may be other side effects of the glitch which aren't known yet.
Why was ISG found at lake Hylia? (iirc)
Why did all the methods to activate ISG require reading text back then?
It's entirely possible to overlook glitches and you know that.
While you could be right and it could be that there are no other uses for this glitch, I disagree with your use of pseudo-logic to prove that it isn't even worth investigating.
Edit: I'm also sorry for being a smart ass, but not doing any research and stuff.
If it's not replicateable on console or if it requires in-game modification of the hardware on console, I guess those tricks aren't allowed. (and for a good reason imo)
Yep, that's right. The game stores values for B and the three C-Buttons when you travel through time and loads them if you do another travel. When travelling backwards in time, all of these buttons' item values are copied to those memory addresses (making BA possible), but when travelling forward the B button is always saved as a Kokiri Sword, regardless of what actually was on B.
So there's no way to get a different item on B from time travelling as a child using the known methods.
You can never tell how many tries are behind one that works out well.
Also, those who try and get crappy results will probably not be motivated enough to photoshop and post the cover.
Humans are also good at finding semantical connections if they suspect them to be there, even if there are no intended ones. Taking some semi-random words and labeling it a poem, most people are able to come up with some very interesting interpretations.

If you redeem and follow the path that Jesus spoke of, read the Bible, start believing in it and try to sin no more, your sins are forgiven. Jesus died so all human sins could be forgiven, so they technically already are forgiven. But you need to chose to believe in all that stuff, acknowledge Jesus as your saviour and God as your creator and all that, and live your life according to the Bible to make it all work.
Basically, your sins are forgiven, but you have the free choice to act as if they weren't and then that's the way to not get into heaven. No human ever is free of sin except for Jesus, but you can change your path at any time. Trying to sin no more and regretting and confessing those sins you still make and stuff. Jesus will take all those sins unto him, your sins willl truly be forgiven and at the day of the final judgement God will look at you and see that you're free of sin.
Something like that. >_>
I think a run for the fastest time on this game would always be very boring, but for me that isn't reason enough to not publish it as I find lots of other published runs to be boring too. It would at least be less boring than most other fighting games.
And an all characters break the targets / board the platforms (concept demo >_>) run is a must for this game imho.
So you recommend newbies to start by using frame advance? If you don't, then I don't get how this is relevant to the topic.
In games like Parodius the difference between using frame advance or slow motion is often only that slow motion looks more natural. People who are new to TASes can create good looking movies on it quite quickly and it will give them a feeling for what looks good and what doesn't and get them used to basic re-recording.
I'd start with Parodius on the SNES. It's easy, doesn't need frame advance and the result can look very cool if you make the right stylistic choices. You'll also find out how it sucks if your movie desyncs (unless those problems with the game have been fixed in the meantime).
You can be a Christian on paper, but in reality not believe in anything or you could have never made up your mind about it. But those people I'm talking about take it quite seriously and have regular meetings and stuff (additional to going to church). So what I mean with 'real' Christians, is people who take their belief seriously and live their lives to work on their relationship to the God of the New Testament and Jesus and worship them, pray for their friends and are looking forward to their afterlives in heaven and stuff. I'm sorry for having been unclear.
I've been hanging around with a lot of real Christians lately, and my understanding of why somebody choses to believe in the Bible has gotten a lot better.
It is only approximately as absurd as believing in the Evolution Theory, but offers many benifits to the believer, as well as some dangers.
I still believe in neither evolution, nor the Bible, but I believe that both contain truths or rather principles that when applied can help me to live a happy life.
I still refuse to believe in anything which can't be proved to be very very probable to be true, which really isn't a lot of things.
In fact, I don't even believe in reality.
I prefer brackets too, the whitespace method gives me a feeling of insecurity. Also, it forces me to indent my code or use more subroutines/methods (which is what I'm supposed to do in other languages too, but I just often prefer not to).
You can skip getting the light arrows by assigning them to the B button, so they are technically skipped in some way. Something similar could be possible for MM, though BA and RBA are totally impossible for MM.
I'll do some research on MM somewhen. There's a very slim chance for me to find some lose pointers, though most of the time I fail, like with Mario 64. :(
You are right, but the actual riddle hasn't been solved. It's like "the magic eye" (maybe a better comparison, but also a bad one >_>).
I hope it will be solved quickly, I'm starting to feel like an attention whore.
I took kirbymuncher for the by btw, not that it matters.
Edit: It's a pun.
I didn't think you'd include names of users that nobody knows.
You win if you can solve my riddle. It's not that hard, but it's a bit like Wario Ware (may be a bad comparison). I repeat. Solve:
