I guess posting some kind of image of the corrected post has to be more fun than correcting it silently. I wouldn't call it immature just because it's more fun though. It's more immature to make a big fuss out of it.

I'm not a native speaker and I love AKAs grammar mistakes! I wouldn't want him to change. He makes some kinds of mistakes I had never seen anywhere before and this actually helps me to improve my English (!). F.e. he used 'must of' instead of 'must have'. I'd imagine to hear this a lot in spoken English and for the next time when I hear it, I will already know what it means. I also hadn't known that 'although' can be used as a universal linking word as it has been illustrated here quite well. (Fortunately he never edits his posts) 'Spefically' is also one of my favourite words ever, lol. Yes, I'm an AKA fanboy. ;) Oh, and I'd also like to thank other forum members for pointing out his mistakes that I would have overread otherwise. You rock.

Sonic because he's fast and cool, especially when in his Hyper form. Also because he has cool spikes and is blue. Dante because he's fast and cool and strong and half demon and has white hair and a nice haircut. I also likes the things he shouts out when he attacks. Link because he has a sword and shield and other funny tools, cool voice and cool ears. And he has the guts to wear that kind of clothes. Ness because he looks funny, I like his style and his psi powers. PK-Thunder is the funniest attack ever in Smash Brothers. Commander Keen because he's a baby in space. Yoshi because he's the only dinosaur in video games I know of who does drugs. And he eats enemies and turns them into eggs, how cool is that? Kirby because of his many abilities and because he's cute.

Isn't it almost obvious that Game&Watch is a lot better in Brawl if you look at some tournament results?

I just thought of something. What if you only did the stars that require different strategies in a CCC run in CCC runs? The rule would be somewhat arbitrary for coins, but it would make it less similar to 100% runs. Maybe this could be accepted as a concept demo then?

Doesn't that strategy where you save something like a red shell and stay in second place on purpose work anymore? Then if a blue shell appears in like the second lap, dodge it, allow somebody to pass by and stay in second place again. If it appears in the final lap you get the luxus of being in first place and carrying a red shell. Not sure if this works though, as I haven't played this game yet. :p

Fast forwarded through almost the whole thing. I guess the hack is quite well thought out, but it wasn't very entertaining to watch. The usual "Wow, it's possible to take this path through the game?!" got replaced by "Oh, the hack intends you to take this route.." for me. Voting meh, lol.

No, that's just too freaky and kind of overdoing it imo. It's too hard to make sense of what happens on the screen for me. Quadruns and double runs have their pros and cons, but this is just too much. Finishing this run wouldn't be worth the effort involved, I guess.

Is there really no way to avoid this death? (related to Knuckles' AIZ Act 2) Edit: Seems like you die if the camera moves over a certain point on the x axis. Any ideas on how to bypass this? Made another two attempts and they also seem to lead to nothing. (use same save state as above) Made another attempt which I think is worth posting. This contains all 4 gmvs so far and the save state. What's the opinion of the more experienced Sonic TASers about this? Going to the right kills you and going to the left seems totally useless.. Edit: Hm, no chance this could work.. I should have tried using Debug Mode earlier..

No. These are both cutscenes (the first where sonic+tails fall after the sandopolis boss into the lava level, and second when they're running up the spiral staircase into the death egg) where the sound totally wonks out. Watch it and see.
He pauses the game during those cutscenes for luck manipulation... Why is that so hard to believe?

Weird. In your encode of Nitsuja's 2nd movie, the sound does wonk out after sky sanctuary, but not after sandopolis 2's boss.

Since all luck issues are a result of frame rules on the universal frame timer, I would correct desyncs by adding short pauses during the loading time of the desync'ed level, rather than replaying the desync'ed portion.
Go watch the .gmv and see him pressing start, if you still refuse to believe me. Maybe you just didn't know that you can pause the game during those cut scenes?

Yep it does. More exactly, it freezes in the beginning of the scene when the sprout is already visible, iirc.

Nice improvements and amazing Knuckles fight! :D I somehow dislike the fact that you have to die twice and would have preferred the bird in Launch Base 1 to be more on screen. I'm not sure if that's even possible though.. So yes vote, but I like the old version better.

There's a way to access Knuckles' route in Angel Island Zone in Sonic 3. But if you attempt to do the same in Sonic 3 & Knuckles the game kills you. And even if you do Knuckles' Act 2 in Sonic 3, the boss fight doesn't load. It would be cool if it was still possible somehow..

The zoo is called Tiergarten Schönbrunn and that place near it is the Schloss Schönbrunn. It's the oldest still existent zoo in the world, but you probably know that already.

Yep, there's a museum. But not in Vienna.

I guess not. I also don't think it was two years ago. o_o

I guess you were lucky, I absolutely hate Vienna on cold and windy days. You have probably no idea just how windy it can get in the streets there. >_<

I did however get the impression that you get better service if you speak German, somewhat like in France is for French.
Really? Maybe you tried to be too polite. People here generally like it if you don't treat them like complete strangers, even if that's what they are to you. And if you throw in some lame jokes every now and then.

Oh no, that's not what I meant. o_o You said "just wanted to get an .at IP / domain into the posting history". But there are already .at IPs in the posting history because of me. I guess you meant your personal posting history though, lol.

*revives this thread from the dead* I started writing a description of what happens in this run because I thought about continuing it a few days ago. However, I changed my mind again and all I have is a "raw draft" which is hardly readable. I still decided to post it, in case somebody is interested in it. I guess not, but what gives. :p i start every game asap with sonic alone time can most likely be saved by delaying the start of s&k. spin dash in sk, kill both badnicks with a spin cut to look cool, jump the loop so it doesn't look too boring and to be faster. i'm doing a big jump aimed at the sprint shoe box. while in midair s2 starts his spindash, causing the spin cut in sk to happen. you can get a better jump in sk by starting the game later. i don't jump until 0:12 to do a sync jump with s1,2&k. sync jumps just look better. i hit one fish in s2, it's not possible to kill both without rolling iirc. another sync jump at 0:14, slows down s1, makes s2 and sk kill a badnick. next sync jump to kill a bn in s1 and s2, jump is necessary in s2 anyway. avoid slowdown in loop at sk. snyc jump as soon as s1 hits the bn to hit the trampoline in sk. s1 goes on to kill another bn and collects all rings above the bridge. 0:18 walk left with sk while s2 is on a trampoline, slowdown at s1, but gets invincible. jumps onto the left side of that thing in sk. i do a sync jump, is necessary for s2 and possible in sk because i'm at the left side. 0:20 i start going up with sk, s2 doesn't start to roll because i'm still holding >. s2 starts to roll, not on the frame which would be fastest though. can't remember why, did a lot of testing though. s2 can now be ignored. 0:21 sync jump, s1 kills a giant enemy crab, sk is up and free to move again. sync jump again, kills 2 bns, avoids repel in sk. s1 jump, spin cut sk. jump up the hill in sk, stay close to the floor, looking cool. kill 2 bns in s1&sk each, rampage. continue jumping around, sk's route was a bit of a pain to get to work. 0:25 s3 starts off, 3 games at once again. :D getting the jump in s3 to work without messing up sk was quite hard iirc. at 0:27 s1,2&k reach the peak of their jumps in sync. sk was a pain to do again iirc. 0:29 s2 lands again, oh noes. jumps alone, kills 1 bn and aims at the fish to look cool. sync jump in s1&sk. sacrifice time in sk to collect more rings to finish the stage with 100. 0:31 sync jump with 1,2,k. again to kill bn in s3 and get both ring boxes in sk and hit the trampoline. 0:34 flame shield obtained in s3, kills bn. s3 does a shield jump momentum glitch. s1 jumps into the wall :p jump onto log in s3 for fun 0:37 wasn't able to get a decent sync jump here. 0:40 jump on the exact frame where sk can't in s1. dual flame shield, w00t. skip the loop in s3, kill bn in sk without repelling. 0:45 dual flame shield jumps, get 90 rings in sk. wait for boss. spin dash left with s2,3&k do some flame shield stuff, jump at the bosses 0:54 spin dash with s2&k & hit the boss. jump left for fun and looks and because s2 has to slow down so he doesn't get owned by a coconut. s2 gets sprint shoe and kills some bns, boss dies. 1:00 sync jump with all 4, continue like usual, lol get 100 rings :D 1:08 s3 gets bolt shield with sk for the boss. get stopped by the wall, jumps, charges up spindash. others do not start to roll because of the v+> exploit. 1:12 does a jump with s3. i was able to glitch through the wall und use knuckles path, but i wouldn't be able to finish act2 then. so i use the usual path. 1:14 gets invincible in s2 again, snyc jump in s1&2, i guess i slowed down s1 a bit to get it. s2 gets an extra life. :o 1:19 double boss time again. i do a spin dash glitch. i couldn't resist because it works in both s2 and s3 at the same time. in the end i must say, it looks pretty stupid. i regret doing that. start the real spin dash shortly after. again, s1 doesn't roll. release spin dash. s3 is now left of the boss so he can jump over him, yippie! of course i do a lame sync jump again 1:25 jump to the left, s1 is in the tube, s3 stays above the boss, s2 jumps to the boss. use flame shield to get to the right again in sk. charge a spin dash for s2 and s3 in opposite directions. release, hit the boss again. s3 boss dies. 1:29 get some bonus ring points in s1, jump left to get the remaining ones, while hitting the boss with s2. do a spindash to finish the boss in s2. yep, that's it. s3 doesn't want to get that bubble shield, so he'll jump over it.

I think a "go to frame #"-option would be nice to have. It would load the movie (maybe generate an automatic savestate every x frames), and super fast forward (without displaying a picture or sound) to the desired frame. This would also help to check if the movie is still in sync (of course you don't use the savestates in that case).
