As much of a Zelda Fan I'm not, I did indeed like this TAS. Glitches made this run fun to watch. I also liked watching the damage boosts (in any game really)

Didn't know that. So I'm thinking we just need to complete route for each of the areas, I think my route for Happily ever faster will do. And I have a good route for T-Wrecks, I just need to find time to record.

I did every combo I could think of. That was one of them. Even if you do succeed you get stuck inside.
How? Why? Really?

Sorry, my bad. I found that on accident. I was just seeing if it was possible, I didn't expect it to work but when it did I was very excited. Although it's really hard to pull of sometimes because it requires a specific positioning for you to reach the ledge. I honestly don't know why I never found this before. This one was pure curiosity, well it didn't kill the cat but the shout for joy might of. I not sure about this because I having tried it yet, but I think you can shoot to the ledge where the bear is and use the spin to obtain it. I know you can reach the ledge (You can't grab it, at least I can't). But if you were able to get the bear you would be able to make it back to land. Could you possibly manipulate the penguin to make it jump at the right time so you could bounce off it in mid air and ultimately successfully skip that bounce pad?

I like his route. I feel some of them could be modified a bit. I recently found a new trick that would be used to get to the first parkworker to buy a crystal faster in T-Wrecks. it's saves about 3 seconds.

Count up the crystals he/she would have gotten according to this and then subtract that from the amount of crystals need. The number you get would be the number of crystals bought + the field crystals. From common sense we can suggests the crystals he/she got were following the route and not completely out of the way. I'm gonna see if I can find this person and get his route. And possibly get him/her to help us.

It's sloppy but here's each route in a complete speedrun... Well it's more like a demonstration... Part 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TZSH4PpqnNU Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xzECXMgdk4M Sorry for some reason my camcorder split it into 2 parts. Also just FYI that's not me commentating (Incase you didn't catch the beginning.)

I love watching speedruns and TASes of the 2D sonic game with a sub optional character because each character is different and interesting as it is. But to be able to abuse specific errors with that character makes it a lot of fun to watch. I give this a yes for sure!

Also do you think that it would be faster to do Fast Laps instead of Rolling Thunder? Because I think that would save quite a bit of time.

I see the first one as a trick I would see in a RTS (it really depends on if we're changing around the route.) I'll try to record the route I have tomorrow because I think it would work out really well.

The second one is perfect! Since the perfected route has you do Once upon a tire last we could get the shortcut crystal and that would make it to where we wouldn't have to collect one of the other crystals. The first short cut wouldn't be very helpful with the fact that getting up there isn't necessary to do first. I don't know when I'm gonna be able to record because there's a way to get up to the top of the level where there's a crystal much faster than taking the platform over. That is the biggest time saver in this area (Saves about 15sec.)

Pokémon TASes are always interesting to watch. I vote yes. Unlike the original R/B/G/Y Fire Red is a lot less glitchy.

Well I never really got to calculating that. I know ~75% of the coins we'll earn in races. And I think doing fast Lap would be faster instead of Rolling Thunder for the tracks we do one mode on.

This would be really interesting, I'm actually working on an any% speedrun for this game currently. Over all this game is pretty solid so abusing any glitches would be good (if you can find any). The levels are very straight forward. How ever the levels where you have to do individual missions to complete the level could be really interesting to see.

Do we know exactly how many coins we need to collect for everything we need to buy? And would getting like 32 kills on a race help anything, because that has happened to me during one of my practice runs? I know it would help with the route because we would have to destroy as many boxes.

Well if it obsoletes the Red run I'd say this is an easy YES. I loved watching this run.

I thought spinning was... Also do we have a top down view of each area?
Like a decent route? For The first 3 areas I think we're good. There's one thing in Mystery Islands that lets you get the 3rd field crystal through a wall but I've only gotten it to work once. With Happily Ever Faster, I have a perfect route for that place that I plan to post a video on. It save about a 20secs. from the old route I as thinking. With T-Wrecks, The route there's a bit shaky but I think it'll work. There's definitely room for change but who know if it'll do anything. For The last to areas I've got nothing. I think with Astro Land the route there is perfectly fine. But with Tomb Town, I got nothing. (I suggest we work with Pete Route because that seemed to be a good start.)

This possible skip in in TW. near the jump pad there is the place where you unlock the battle arena. Near that enterance is a tall stack of boxes that reach higher than you can jump. I plan to, with much patients, try to break as few boxes as possible (while still being able to get on top) and see it I can get out of bounds that way. If that works then that would be 14 crystal we wouldn't have to collect. If you need me to post a video or a picture of the area I'm talking about, I can.
I have tried this exact thing and couldn't make anything out of it. It was the only idea I had for another major skip. If you jump and spin and immediately turn away you should be able to only break like three or so boxes and you can land on the tall tower of boxes. It is enough to clip a bit into the ceiling but by no means anough to get out of bounds, so I don't think you can find a trick if you approach it this way unless you can find another ledge or something to grab on to.
Yeah, I was pretty upset too. I don't think there are anymore possible skips. The best thing we could possibly do is work on a perfected route for each area, I've got the perfect route for Happily Ever Faster. It's a circle almost.

Sadly I don't think it's possible to get all the way around (at least I haven't been able to). I do indeed plan on working with the glitch some more. But right now I'm working on yet another possible skip. Pete mentioned me about this. I did get that glitch too, but once so happy to see how to get it back to back.
So you think it could be helpful, I just found it. I haven't had time to explore with it.

Wow that Labyrinth zone 3 zip was incredible! It's not a hard decision, YES!
