It's actually possible to grab Seadoph and hit Pamela in the same jump, meaning you don't have to wait for her to jump again to hit her. The WIP can be improved a lot because this is one of those games where jumping is faster than walking (but not faster than running down hills obviously) but only if you start bunnyhopping at a precise frame while Klonoa accelerates. This little act of framewhoring turns Klonoa from a simple game to TAS to nightmarish to optimize. Take a close look at his movement speed in the memory viewer and try jumping on certain frames while accelerating to see what I mean.

I too have been uncapped. I haven't uploaded anything since March 2009 but it's nice to know that I could probably upload 3-hour long videos if I wanted.

And so, after placing his elbow on every fighter's stomach and siphoning all of their souls, Ty became the new champion. None would ever be able to dethrone Ty for he could just simply place his elbow on any challenger and siphon the life force out of all who dared to challenge him. On a side note, yes.

Not sure what to think about this one... it's not bad by any means but the rom hack itself is kind of bland. It doesn't seem to offer anything new compared to the MTPO run that's currently on the site. Meh

Uh... why does jumping on a vulture result in the same effect as being shot out of a barrel? I liked how the input ended at least, yes vote.

I sure hope he allows player 2 to die on Clinger Wingers and come back, otherwise it'd be impossible to score all that swag being offered.

The game... does not... bend like that! Yes vote for this very short glitchfest.

This is probably the easiest yes vote I've ever made.

KlonoaWIP.pxm Currently on 2-2, WIP ends after Klonoa enters the cave. I think this is coming along quite nicely although 2-2 is one of the levels I was dreading.

You do realize that the Phantomile voicing is still in the Wii version, right?
I'm aware of that, but I simply cannot see an author go into the options menu not to change the difficulty, not to change the sound setting from mono to stereo, but to change the voice actors. KlonoaWIP.pxm I am currently trying my hand at the US PSX version. My WIP has me about halfway through 1-2 and 18 frames faster than hoge's Japanese version WIP (More if you count being able to skip the intro FMV). Where the WIP ends is where I'm currently stuck and looking for a way to either manipulate the fan to blow hard enough without waiting or get Klonoa up there on his own. This is yet another game where jumping is faster than running with downhill running being an exception. The thing about jumping is that in order for it to be faster than running, you need begin jumping while Klonoa is either accelerating or decelerating in order for the speed address to flicker between his normal running speed and a value that's slightly higher. There are times letting go of the d-pad or even moving turning the opposite direction for 1 frame is necessary to set up an optimal... we'll call it bunnyhopping.

I would like to see the Wii version over the PSX, but I'll take whichever I can get.
Any particular reason why? Sure the Wii version looks better but then we'd have to sit through Klonoa's horrible English voice whenever the author double jumps.

I secretly watched the encode in IRC. This was an interesting run to watch. It kept me entertained and at times, my mind just kind of forgot that the author was actually playing music with his shooting. I'm the kind of guy that will listen to anything though. Easy yes vote.

Oh wow, someone actually found that? I was referring to when the URL was called bisqwit.iki.fi and it went purely by memory. My apologies for anything that was wrong. Making long essays like that is something I actually get embarrassed about because what if I'm wrong about stuff? What if people blast me about it? This is why I don't do it very often. If I don't like posting about stuff like that then why did I even bother doing it? I don't know but it felt good to get something off my chest temporarily only to feel those "what ifs" later. I choose to lurk because I don't have much to talk about. I like seeing works in progress, I like seeing when a new trick is discovered that could heavily improve a run. I just don't actually post about it. I would like to make more posts but again, there just isn't much to say other than "wow this looks great" or "can't wait" and I don't think that's really worth posting.

The PSX version of Metal Slug X is plagued by missing animation, low quality versions of the music, and loading times. Now that arcade emulation seems to be accepted on the site, I would suggest doing the arcade version if possible.

Amazing, you finally did it. Will watch later and as soon as someone is willing to post how I'm supposed to enable the no cursor/battle script.
