Go to Config -> Hotkey Config -> Movie and assign a hotkey to "Toggle Read Only". Now play the movie in read-only mode and pause the emulator at the point you want to continue. Make a new savestate here. Then, go to read+write mode by pressing the hotkey you created, and load the new savestate. Now you can continue the TAS.
Thanks! That worked

So I'm attempting to do a TAS for Picross 3D, which is a DS game. I followed the video tutorial for DS TAS's on the TAS site, but it doesn't mention how I can edit a movie I've already worked on. When I play the movie I've recorded, I can't edit the movie and I have to start all over. Is there any way to fix this?
