Well you gotta keep in mind that most of the people (including me) watching these videos except no less than absolut perfection. When there are non-TAed records that beat the ones on this site, it just looks bad.

The first screenshot is E1M1 of Doom. The other 3 look to be from Doom2.

go to play movie, select your movie file. It should have your # of re-records and total record time and number of frames.

And there's the people like me that are too poor for a joypad. And I'm also more comfortable with the keyboard for most games.

PG-13 seems a bit high, doesn't it? Maybe the fighting games would be PG, but everything else would be G.

yeah yeah, and at the end have credits for the guy who did the run, the guy who encoded it, the guy who hosted it, and a logo!

"b) Not a legitamate record" I still think "Not an official record" sounds way better.

on the main site, there's a link to "submissions" and at the top of that page: "Click here to submit a movie" You have to be logged into the site to see it. Just use your forum login.

Yeah, notmally I'd like ZSNES better for timeattacks, but I'm not sure how stable the recording is, and sometimes hitting the quicksave/quickload keys will open the menu, which is really annoying.

"Not a legitimate speed record" I think replacing "legitimate" with "official" would be more accurate. "legitimate" can be subjective since it depends who's rules we're following. non-legitimate on this site could mean it was manually edited or done with cheats/game genie.

Will there ever be a patch that will allow the keys to be changed?

Yeah, I'm too poor for DDR so I have to play stepmania. Best song I can get a triple A on is Healing Vision half mix (DDRei tournamix 1) Fun stuff though.

In the Contra 3 run it's an actual pause, but at least it's pretty short.

Yeah, 1 second would be fine. If peope can't read that fast, (I'm sure most people won't catch everything), then they can pause it. And those of us who already know what the disclaimer says won't have to sit through the 6 second pause.
