I agree, it seems more "perfect" when you can just let go of the controller and the game will finish itself.

It makes Quake the fastest and most intense first person shooter out there IMO.
heh, TF1.5 was the fastest before the bunnyhop speed was capped to 150% of normal speed. It was funny seeing an HWguy chasing after a scout while firing and still be able to keep up with, and even pass the guy without much trouble.

Ah neat. I never really got good at BH in Quake games. I could do it, just not as well as I can in TF1.5 and other Half-Life mods.

Wait, people didn't know how to bunnyhop in quake in 1999? Wasn't the game pretty old even then?

Well done. BTW, Ever since I saw the first Mario time attacks on this site, I've been wondering how exactly the "stomp the turtle with your face/hat" trick works. Can anyone enlighten me?

ack, I never saw this topic! :o But yeah, Phil's DD time attacks sure make mine look pretty dull. I might try working on Double Dragon 3, since it should be possible to improve.

I mostly just play it at LANs, but if enough of my friends are on, I'll play online with them. Pretty good at it.

Yeah, I saw the movie too. It was ok, but I like the series better. Same goes for Stargate. The movie was pretty good, the Stargate SG-1 sci-fi series is awesome! I have the book for The Dead Zone, but haven't really gotten around to reading it yet. From what you've read, how close is it to the movie?

Half-Life, Opposing Force, Blue Shift, Counter-Strike, and Team Fortress Classic together have sold that number.
When was TFC ever sold as a stand-alone game?

Ah yes, just listened to it. I was still thinking of the PC version, where it just sounded sorta like someone singing, but no words. Anyway, I like the actual sound of the PC version, but the vocals in this version is nice. Oh well, one song out of 85. PC wins :p edit: Well, I'm not sure if the PSX music sounds exactly like the OST, but I like prelude a lot more. But I like PC version of the regular and boss battle musics way more though. Oh, and excuse my grammar. It's 4am and I can't quite think straight.

also, I think an ff7 speed run would be kinda neat. Might not watch or download it all in one sitting, but if it were split up into maybe 1-2 hour parts, it would certainly be easier on the hard drive space, and it could be released as the speed run goes on. Just a thought.

Doh, yeah, when you said vocals I thought you meant singing. You know, with words. Silly me. OK, I'm going to check out the OST to see how much of a difference there is. I have all the midi files from FF7, so no problem comparing. :D

Uh, what songs had vocals for the PSX version? I don't recal any.

oh right, the motorcycle game was fast, but I think it was only in 1 gfx mode (forgot if it was software or d3d that did it). The others seemed better. As for "One Winged Angel", I haven't heard that on the PSX version since I saw my friend beat the game before I ever played it. I think it sounds good on the PC though. Just not sure if it's better or worse for PSX.

heh, just watched this thing. Loved how he uses the arch vile in bloodfalls to boost him to the exit., then uses an arch vile to open the exit door in Monster Condo. Good stuff. Now, I read in a previous post that slowdown was added, but could a rerecord function have been possible? Sure, loading saves wouldn't be instant like in emulators, but might it be brought down to the point where it's barely noticeable?

uum, was thinking of doing it on PS1, seeing that the PC version is total crap :)
That's crazy talk. The midi sounds waaaay better on PC, and the gfx are better. Everything else is pretty much the same though.

Wow, it's going to be pretty interesting to see just how fast the game can get.
