I'm trying to improve SpeedyTheHedgehog's TAS of "Tom and Jerry: Frantic Antics!". I don't know how he scrolls to the right of the screen, so I tried to open his TAS on Gens 11b to see what inputs he did. But I don't know how to do THAT, either. So I can't start working on the improvements until I learn how to open a TAS on Gens. Any help would be appreciated, preferably ASAP. Thanks.

well my original idea was to make a perfect 9/9 TAS, but that required a lot of RNG manipulation. plus, i may have eventually found a seed that requires no input anyway. this TAS was inspired by ShesChardcore's TAS of (https://tasvideos.org/5099M), which also does nothing in the actual game. it selects the optimal settings and lets the game play out by itself. EDIT: her Warlords TAS (https://tasvideos.org/4717M) also has no actual gameplay input.

hello TateTF20230623 and welcome to TASVideos! for your first TAS, this is quite well made. just a couple technical things to point out: 1. the re-record count is not the same as the frame count. it’s how many times you remove an unwanted input during the making of a TAS. 2. i noticed that you used “Gens” as your emulator. Gens isn’t preferred for emulating the Sega Genesis / Mega Drive. instead, most of us like to use a multi-platform emulator called “BizHawk”. you can download it from this very website. other than that, well done on your first submission, and good luck in the future!
