The ice puzzle strat was the same, although you did save one additional frame in movement optimization in that room.
Ah right.

If you finish the first phase of the Mettaton fight while creating the save file, Mettaton's text during the run is shorter, allowing you to wrong warp out of the room. I believe this saves about 7 frames.
Nice, didn't know that. I'll keep this in mind for when I eventually improve this movie.

Other than the skipped Flowey fights, what else is different about New Game+? And are there any improvements compared to [4539] Linux Undertale "Neutral ending" by OceanBagel in 48:51.95?
There are several dialogue and event changes, most noticeably at the beginning of the game, where normally Flowey would greet you. However, since Flowey is dead, he does not greet you, thus Toriel does instead. Dialogue changes occur as well due to the user having played the game before and the characters recognising this. On top of this, NG+ also allows you to breeze through Monstertale, the section that tells you the story of the first fallen human and Asriel. In a non-NG+ setting, you would have to sit through unskippable dialogue, which is what Ocean's Neutral TAS does. In NG+, this dialogue is made skippable, allowing the user to mash through the text. Regarding improvements, there are several improvements in this TAS that separates this from OceanBagel's Neutral TAS. Firstly, Ocean's TAS does Beowulf and Sirius skip, which this TAS does not do due to them being deemed slower by the community. There are a few places where I get better RNG than Ocean, and there are also strats I use in this TAS which aren't used in his TAS (e.g. "Misogynist Ice Puzzle Skip". No, I did not mis-spell that, it's what the strat is called (might be confusion by the person who named the strat as the previously-used strat is called Masochist Ice Puzzle Skip)).

I might not know this game very well, but I don't think that is the game's actual music... Can someone re-encode this TAS?
I mentioned this in the TASVideos discord, and will try get an encode out today with unmodified music.
Encode updated.

I wonder if I'm just unlucky or if the angrylion plugin has issues.

I have no idea what's going on, but it seems that you have included a plugin that literally made Mupen give an exception error [AngryLion + Static Interpreter]. No wonder AngryLion's a nightly build, it crashes Mupen itself lmfao. I have never in my four years of TASing SM64 seen this, and am wondering why you decided to make a fork in the first place. There is already a working version, and instead of using the already-working version, you create a new fork and add a plugin that gives an exception error in Mupen itself. Why not include plugins that actually work instead of ones that don't?
