If the map/compass/boss keys should be gotten because they are displayed on the dungeon map screens (which I support) then I think the entire map should be completed as well. Meaning: all rooms blue, all chests gotten.

What about wallet upgrades? Stick/nut upgrades?

Maybe everything that stays gone when you get it should be collected? Every single little treasure chest. Oh and the records for the minigames must of course be maxed out, too.

Because the skulltula you are getting is a completely different one than the one you are skipping.
But the c-item you're getting is ALSO a completely different one than the one you skip, as evidenced by the fact that the skipped one is still there in its chest! (again, please correct me if I'm wrong on this)

Well of course skulltula duping is allowed. The problem is, that doesn't get you out of getting the other 99. Duplicating skulltulas only gives you multiple of a single skulltula, it doesn't give you other skulltulas. Just like getting two spirit medallions doesn't get out out of getting forest medallion. The goal isn't to get 100 total skulltulas, it's to get all of the 100 skulltulas. Just like the goal is not to get 20 hearts, but to get all of the heart containers, and the 36 (intended) heart pieces. Getting the 37th heart piece could allow you to get 20 hearts without duping heart pieces, and while skipping one of the others, but that's not allowed, because the goal is to get the 36 intended heart pieces, not to get 20 hearts total. RBA does something entirely different. The way i see it, it doesn't matter how you acquire an item, so long as it is actually acquired.
I don't see much difference between grabbing a duplicate skulltula to avoid having to get a "legitimate" one and getting a C-item or something through RBA to avoid having to get it from its treasure chest or whatever. In both cases the "real" one is still left there, uncollected. Or does the chest magically empty itself if you hack the item into your inventory? I don't actually know but I'd guess it doesn't.

There is no good N64 emulator. What makes you think Project 64 is any better?

There are no flawless plugin settings. For any game. Not in any existing N64 emulator.

What's the point in optimizing for lag that isn't accurately emulated anyway? Generally avoiding things that cause substantial lag is good and all but counting frames just seems pointless at the current level of timing accuracy.

If the save file on a real cartridge becomes corrupted in such a manner, is there a way to reset or empty it so that you will be able to run the game?
are you specifically asking about GB games? most consoles have a combination of button presses to erase save data, though I’m not sure if the GB does
No such feature exists. You could fix it only by disconnecting the save battery.

The 59.94 rate is also only for interlaced video, which is not what the N64 typically outputs. 240p video would have a slightly higher fps, something like 60.05. Or at least, I vaguely remember reading that somewhere.

If you mean the stupid texture filter on the Youtube encode, then yeah, I hate it too.

I'll try and get a decent recording of a console verification. I am aware I don't have any top-notch recording equipment but I'll do what I can. I won't be able to getting it verified until tomorrow night (have to rebuild my device)
With videos like http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHVZGQIGu4w http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsnbYaCGwHk It's mainly the glare that's the problem. If you can just improve on that, it'd be great.

The N64 can be RGB modded for better video output. One thing I've thought about, by the way... The Super Mario 64 TASes, although they sync on the real console, the end time isn't the same due to different lag compared to the emulators they are created with. I think this is important to point out, because it's something the "console verified" status kind of ignores. I think the time the TAS achieves on the real system should be listed for the "console verified" videos. Honestly I think it's more interesting than what it happens to get on some inaccurate emulator.

Does hyperspeed wallkick work in the rumble pak version? (I know BLJ doesn't)
