Metroid and Metroid 2? The right looks like a GameBoy game and the link say something about Samus. ;-) And the picture on the right looks a bit like the first Ship, with it Samus arrive.

Ocarina, actually. But yeah, I wish her to be included in the movie too… I'll create an AVI of the progress so far.
Oh, ok. Ocarina. Was to long that I played it in english. Have forget what it was. But now I remeber, that you must play it in the first town after you write Ocarina.

Looks great so far. I hope it would be possible to pick up that necklace from the Cat girl to get her later. But I think the way is to long for a Speedrun. So it will be impossible to do in a TAS. :-( This is my favourite character. She looks so cute. PS: <--- see my Avatar. ;-)

Remember me from a video, which I have see yesterday/today on SDA (a new one, linked on the news post). The Super Mario Allstars - Super Mario Bros 3 Blobber movie. There he show how he has work on his 100% complete run and die. So he must begin from new. One special thing was at the end from this movie. He goes into a pipe (to the right) and die inside the pipe. WOW, never know that. The funny thing too, he write a text, What the hell was inside that pipe. LOL

Voted Yes. I have not saw the other one, which is 2 second slower. But this one looks great. I like the end where you die at the same time as the finish message appear. Nice done.

Funny, that you write today. Because today I have work hard for the next WIP update from this run. Now I arrive by Kary, the Boss from the Ice Cave. So the 3. Warp is done now. The Ice Cave is one from the hardest Stages I think. Good: I save over 2200 Frames because of this warp. I use sometimes the Chocobo inside the Ice Cave, when I must walk through more rooms. Bad: I arrive with one Level lower by Kary. But I hope I can get the needed Level later. Most see, that I defeat much from these enemies to the Bone Cave, where I must too destroy the stones. I hope there I will Level up a bit. Lose maybe a bit time. Not sure if I should use the Chocobo after the Kary fight or not. I can Level up the way back, or save maybe enough time with him. PS: I have not use the Warp, which I found myself, because this was much slower. I have still not beginn the warp and by the other one with the tree I was already inside from the Ice Cave. So I have use the faster one to get the fastest time. Edit1: So defeat Kary now. Get Bone Key. The Chocobo after the Ice Cave saved a bit over 8 seconds I think. Not much, but good at all. I get now the Bone Key and I am 1 Level lower then in my other 3rd run. I hope it will be enough later, or that I can Level Up now better as in my 3rd run. I manipulate now too that Bogard walk down and that the Chocobo is too not so far away when I speak with him. The complete run is at this point a bit over 24 minutes faster. But with one lower Level. Edit2: Arrive Kraken. 85921 Frames faster at this point. Near 24 minutes. Not sure how much I can save now till the end. I have the same Level now. I know no warp anymore and have play the 3rd run too perfect. So maybe the time will only near 24 minutes faster. Edit3: Defeat Kraken. Wow, saved 189 Frames to my other run, because of much more luck manipulation. I have done it, that he never attack me with his tentacles. First try was a bad one, there I lose 152 Frames to my other run, because he attack much more with his tentacles. But then I move the way down to him and then I can manipulate him every time he try to attack me. So now he never ever attack me and so I lose near no time by defeating him. And the fight is now over 3 seconds faster as in my third movie. I have never think before, that it is possible to manipulate him perfect. This has never work in my earlier tries. But now I see, that it is possible. But its hard and will not always work I think.

The boss fight is now bearable to watch! (*remembers genisto's first run...)
I think yes. Where he only damage him 1 HP every round after he changed into a Dragon. I think the fight takes 8 minutes and was very boring. Now its much better with the hurt spell. And its great, the MP points are 0 after the last cast. Great calculation. So yes vote from me too.

First I have think this is Wonderboy in Monster Land. Then I saw the short time and the game discribtion with flying Stage and walking Stage. So I was sure this is not the great game which I have think before. But at all the game looks good. The run is too not so bad as I first have think after I read the first post. I see too, that it is not perfect. Most I think too its better to defeat much more enemies in the walking Stages, because the lag was very big in some Stages and the game was very slow. I have not much knowhow about the game itself, so I don't know if the Bossfights are bad or good. For me the Boss fights looks good. But I vote nothing in the moment, because I am not sure what I should vote. When I have not read the first message I would maybe vote yes or meh.

Not 100% sure anymore what I write. There was a short error and now my post is gone. Voted Yes, because the run looks great. I like the backjumping. Some parts look bad, but the reason is maybe only the bad controlling from the character. Other nice things are the shortcuts by get damage. Great idea. So all together the run looks great.

First I get some messages, that something with e-mail send has not working, when I not wrong. Maybe this help to find the error. I have refresh the browser, that I am sure nothing was posted at all. So I think, that it post 2 times with only one click. And this is maybe the reason why it edit both messages at the same time. Was strange too. And here too a double post, not sure why? But this topic is still working. Castlevania: Dracula X

Is this related to the Castlevania: Dracula X submission thread not working, or did MattyXB just sabotage it?
I have do nothing. I download the movie before the site was down. Then later I watch the movie and the site was down, so I can't vote anymore after watch the movie complete. Now later as the site was up again I vote and try to post why I vote. Then an error was show and nothing was posted. I try it again and got again an error message. I go back, refresh the page and see no post. So I post again the same message. It worked now. Later I saw 2 messages with the same text. So I edit the second one, but this has too edit the first message. I edit it again that it show too the original message and this was it. As I last saw this topic it worked good and show just 2 times my same message. Not sure if I post it 2 times or it was an error as I try it the third time. I have seen another topic where someone post too two times the same message. But I am sorry, when it was my fault. I have not know that I should better not post so earlier after the hardware was finished.

* Around frame 2288 there is a bug that can be used, if you stop holding A while you're not yet at the limb you get kinda warped a few frames up. This saves a few frames in many points of the game, around frame 4040 for example.
Many points? After watch again my movie and watch for these errors I think this is only possible by these trees, so only in the first Stage. I think one time I have done it without knowing how and why. One from the middle trees there I warped up. So now I know why.
Conti wrote:
* Around frame 2650 you can jump around the spikes, like you do in the second level around frame 15425. Same goes for the next spikes you encounter.
Have not think of it, but you are right. I try always to jump as high as possible, so I would get hit by these Spikes. But your right, it will be better to climb up these walls at one side.
Conti wrote:
* The first boss can be done much quicker if you stop one frame before he hits you in front of him, then you can shoot every second frame, beating him after about two seconds.
Thats a good idea. I have too think it will be better get hit by this Boss and take no Damage in the first Stage, but when it is possible to be infront of him without get hit it is maybe better. Then I can still get hit in the first Stage, which save too a bit time at this one point.
Conti wrote:
* Around frame 14473 you can jump to the left wall directly, saving a few frames.
Yes, this I already know, because many others have see this error too. Must be the biggest error, which I have miss as I do this run.
Conti wrote:
* Around frame 15810 you can maniuplate the moving column, although I haven't found out how yet. But you can make it move so you don't have to wait..
I have try it a bit with walking to the right. So the column came a bit earlier back I think. But too not sure how I can do it exactly. I just try my best with these columns and how they moveing. Most they have a great moveing that I must not wait so long. So thanks for all the errors you found out. Maybe (not 100% sure) I will try this game later again and hope I can finish it without all these errors. At least I think all these errors will not save much time. Only the first Boss can save a bit more, but the other samll things save maybe a 1 minute together I think. But I would like too to see a more perfect run. So maybe I find the time again for this game. But I know this is a hard and bad game to play. I was too a bit frustrated after the half run. But now I have a complete movie which I can use at little help for another one.

My only question is this: Why did you take damage around frame 70000? It seems like you would have been fine without it.
Thanks for the votes so far. To the question, it was impossible to fall through the 4 outcoming Spikes without get hit. I try it and the right Spike will hit me at all. I can only avoid it, when I should wait over the Spike and fly a bit. But I have think it will cost to much time when I fly so I just fall through all these Spikes with one hit. And I know this run is not perfect. I know some new tricks, which save maybe too some seconds. One which noone mention yet it will maybe faster when I take no damage in the first Stage and take the damage later by the Fish Boss. So it will be possible to defeat the Boss by his first appear and I must not wait longer till he appear later again. And maybe some routes are not optimal. Someone in the SDA Board mean I take a wrong longer route. Not sure where it was, but he mean there exist a shorter route in one Level. I was sure I test all, but maybe I overlooked one good route. Now I found the Left/Right glitch, which will save in some round some time, can be seen in the topic about this game. Its not usefull in all Stages, but will help in these ones, which not go up or down to far. The only problem, it can be, that this glitch looks to boring. You just glitch fast through the walls to the finish in most Stages. Too how I now defeat the first Boss faster with get damage by him can seen in this WIP. But not sure if I will complete this one.

Thanks for the nice word. So one who like my work, this give me again a bit motivation.
FreshFeeling wrote:
-Your play seemed very smooth in the Marsh Cave. The positions of the monsters are all perfect!
Near all is manipulated, but you will not notice this. I just wait some Frames, before I enter near every new screen when it is not perfect at the first possible Frame. So much Luck Manipulation here and everywhere, but I think near noone will see or notice this in the run and this is great and you will not get bored with to much waiting.
FreshFeeling wrote:
-The glitch warps are very neat. Do you know if there are any strange things that will happen later on as a result of these warps?
Yes, there happen many things and some can already be seen in the run when you know it. I try to explain them all if I know them or find them myself. As already know, you skip many things with these Warps. Near 24 minutes. The music will always be different when you arrive at the new point. So you hear in Jadd the music from Wendel, till you leave again. Normaly you hear no music here as you first arrive. In the Zyklop Cave you will hear still the music from the Medusa Cave, till you fight against the Zyklop. Another one is, that you always have friends in your group, which normaly leave before you reach these points in the game. So when you arrive in the Medusa Cave with the girl, she will change into Amanda and you will have two Amandas in the first screen. Later when you still have Amanda and meet again the girl, Amanda will change into the girl and you will have two girls in the first screen. (not yet, after the Chimare Fight) When you arrive with Amanda at the bridge to the waterfall, the bridge will destroyed. The funny thing, Amanda will still on the bridge and hang now in the air. Can she fly? ;-) (not yet, after the Golem fight, so soon it can seen in the WIP) Others small errors are: When you meet Amanda in the Medusa Cave, she say, that she steal the Pendant from you. But you have never own it and you never have meet Amanda that she can steal it from you. The girl will be later at the Castle, but she was never kidnapped. The last Warp, which is not done yet will affect this: The Chocobo will follow you into the Snowfield and too in the Ice Cave. When you arrive at the Zyklop Cave you can walk back to the Crab fight. Normaly you came from the right and fight against the Crab. But now when you came from the other side, you came from the stairs, which will disappear and you can fight against the Crab. (will not do it, because it cost only useless time) These are all things, which I know yet. Some others will I try later, after the Dark Lord fight, when I get the Chocobo. If there are some Bosses still there like the Crab. Thinks which interested me most is the Medusa. Will she still in the Cave? And what will happen when I defeat here? Will Amanda appear? Or will she be at the beginning from this Cave at all? (will not be in the later run at all, but I will try a bit)
FreshFeeling wrote:
-I noticed a few times when you enter the weapon/item menu just when you're moving to a new screen. Is there a reason for this? Does it save time, or is that just when you chose to do it?
I only enter the weapon/item menu screen to change or equip something. Not for other reason. So when I do it before I enter the next room, I do it because I need this item later or in the next room. When I equip it earlier I do it, because I want to manipulate the next room too. I try most first to enter the next screen and look how the enemies standing. When it is good for me I change the item or weapon now in this room. When it is bad for me I equip the weapon or item in the room before that one and look if this is better. Sometimes it work, sometimes I must still wait some Frames to manipulate the room much more.
FreshFeeling wrote:
The lizardman fight seemed a little worse than in the last full submitted run. Was that difficult to manipulate? You seem to be very good at having the monsters in the correct positions, so it seems strange. I recall that in your submitted run you ended up cornering all of them in the lower right hand part of the screen. This is the only place where it seemed like you'd done better before.
Yes, I know. I try to wait many Frames, but never ever these Lizardman stand all at the right side by this run. And I will not wait to long, that you will notice this later or lose to much time with just waiting. But I have a higher Level and need only 2 hits now in this run (with critical hits). So its faster at all I think. By my other run the Lizardman needed 4 hits, the double time. I try many starts too with these fight, and this was the best at this point without lose to much time with waiting.

Will be so much time get lost? Skip a complete Boss is too some time which will be saved at the other side. Has someone already try it and make a TAS from the PAL Version? Is the PAL Version so much slower that I can't skip a complete Boss?

Wow, never see or know this before. Great trick. So when this is only possible in the PAL Version, would it mean, that a TAS from the PAL Version would be faster? Then why not run the PAL Version, when you can save this fight? I think it will save some time, because at this point you have a weak weapon and near no rockets for attacking (till you manipulate them from the Boss).

Again all my questions are answered and it explain it. Have not know this game so I have not know some things. But now I understand the reasons and voted yes. Another question was the shortcuts with the car. Have think it is possible to take some more, but this question was already answered in this topic. So no open questions anymore and now the movie looks great planed and well done.

Watched it today. Good movie. Only one question. In the middle you get often hit from enemies (peoples). Any reason why? It seems that it is not faster. But looks not perfect when there is no reason for that. Later it will not happen anymore. So I want to know why you get hit before I vote. Was it desync or for something special in the game. You not die, just get hit from them, or it looks like that you get hit. First I have think the movie desync, but it played complete to the end, so no desync problems I think. Or was it a desync and later the movie is in sync again? But looks good at all, so fast walking for such a big animal.
