Admitted, it's nice to know how fast MM3 can be beaten with the help of cheats. But still, voting no for cheats. (and thus voting no for this run.) Vatchern, you produce great quality runs, so don't let this discourage you even a bit.

Yes, it is allowed but... :D I wouldn't use it even though it would create a little variance in the run. I'm sure few would think it's nice/cool or something but most people wouldn't like it that much. So my advice is: don't use it. Though if you still decide to use it, pick a star which is shortest.

Wow! Sandland was fabulous! And I really mean it. It was very, very entertaining. I noticed you managed to hit the left bosshand without it opening it's hand while FODA couldn't do it (no offence FODA ;) ). Looking forward for the next WIP.

The very first bounce in 1-1 looked like it could be improved (because you made it in that slope), though I'm quite sure you have checked that your choice was fastest. It was nice to see the megaheavy bowling ball "jump" in the boss level when that exit circle descended on you :P

Seconded. I was really confused when Diamond (and Pearl) came to DS. I thought "who the hell would/could do a remake of such a bad game". But then I realized they had absolutely nothing in common (except the name).

AKA, it's only a test run. And a very rough one, to tell the truth. I'm sure the final version will be _much_ more entertaining. Plus it'll be with absolute certainty under an hour long (though I'm not exactly sure how much :p).

Wow! That really is very rough, as you said (and we all know why!). 1 hour movie would be quite long, but I'm sure you'll be able to shorten it _much_ when you're redoing it. I can't wait to see the optimized one, it'll look so cool x). Here's couple things i began to wonder while watching: 1) Shouldn't you turn that bowling ball into steel ball each time you are under water and don't need the huge weight (to increase moving speed). I noticed you didn't do this in the "treetops level". 2) Is snow-covered ball any slower than normal ball? If it is, don't forget it while making the final run ;) 3) The Frankenstein boss. Couldn't you climb the pillars with the ball as they were, and throw it couple times to reach the button? Of course there where other things that also got my attention, but I'm quite sure you know all those.

Exactly! So what if the game has few minor graphical emulationbugs when the quality of the TAS is this good. I say dig up that old work of yours, Bag of Magic Food, and continue it!

First of all, you should have put url to the patch in the submission so that every one wouldn't need to google it them selves. You can get the patch from here http://www.romhacking.net/hacks/101/ and you should use it on Mega Man 2 (U).nes. Secondly, hacks aren't generally allowed in this site so you should probably have talked about it before submitting a movie. (At least with Bisqwit, unless of course you have..) And now to the judging. The hack is a little too dark-ish in my opinion but i guess that's the theme if this hack :) The movie itself looked OK, though i spotted few possible mistakes. As Vatchern said in the IRC, it's a good movie but as Megaman 2 movie, it's somewhat dissappointing. I'm willing to give this one a Meh, but only if Megaman Exile gets approved for this site some day.

Isn't it sequel to Super Metroid? Since Metroid Fusion being fourth Metroid in the saga. Though I have only played through Fusion, so I might be wrong. Enlighten me! ;)

Nice camera angle in Plunder in the Sunken Ship, when getting that eel out. The coin collecting looked also _very_ cool. With this kind of talent, of course you should continue! Though I don't have any world-order suggestions, except what FODA used.

However, with VirtualDub you won't be able to edit videos. Video editing in this context means that you take a video, cut it, preview it, add perhaps another video in between, add a soundtrack, mix different soundtracks into one, fade from one soundtrack to another, add subtitles, etc etc.
You can do all that with VirtualDub. Though it may require a little skill and few fancy tricks, but they are doable ;)

Tragedys post got me thinking. Would this have any possibility to work: 1) Lobby Glitch to Bowser1 2) Open the Downstair keydoor 3) Lobby Glitch to Bowser2 (or DDD) Or would that be like Lobby Glitching to the top of Bob-omb mountain (=impossible)?

I must say I'm with Mukki in this one. Beating the Elite Four would give much better closure. But because this is primo's run, the choice is ultimately his (unless ending it in the diplom was somehow against TASvideos rules, which I don't think it is). Anyhow, I wish you good luck with this run and hope to get new update soon. ;)

your swimming looks very perfect, but I do have one question: Why did you make second jump from the top of the starbox inside the ship? Couldn't you have just stomped on it as soon as you got above it when jumping off of the water?

I think the current setup is the best one: a pure speedrun with Forte (because he is faster) and a 100CD run with Rockman (because currently he is the only one who can actually do that). Though I don't have anything against a Rockman speedrun, but does TASvideos really need three movies of one game?

But wouldn't pure speedrun be faster with Forte? Dash-Jumps and Double Jumps give him huge advantage against Rockman. Yes, I know Forte requires much more time in the first boss but overall I think he would still be faster.

Yes, there was a slight error in the encoding. The audio was encoded with mono but it is labeled as stereo, so some players and codecs may not realize this. In my experience BSplayer plus mp3lib decoding works just fine. I have now figured out the cause of this problem and fixed it. So I promise my future encodes won't have this problem any more.

what would be hard to match is FODA's playing style and all of the many entertaining techniques that he did to keep audiences entertained. He specifically mentioned in the submission that he wasted frames to do things in a more impressive or entertaining way.
Yes, FODA's work is uotstandinly entertaining. I have watched his Mario 64 run many many many times and they still keep me entertained. So, I would like to give my greatest thanks to him for being in and providing for this community. Thank You! And next: Rikku. Your work is also very good. You managed to improve AKA's run and make it more more entertaining at the same time. That is really something, especially for a Newbie. I wish you good luck on the 120 star run!

We know FODA's run is improvable. I don't know SM64 well enough to tell you where, I just remember it being said.
At least the swimming style was somewhat flawed in JRB (and in the secret star). I'm not exactly sure which was the best way, but still.. :). I haven't yet watched Rikku's WIP but I believe that is one of the major improvement-factors.

Okay... asteron has also a good point there. Now I'm all confused. Thanks a lot guys! :P I say we let mr_roberts_z choose. After all, it is his TAS. (And that way no one gets to blame me :P)
