I didn't knew you really could get them (the key and eggs) in Banjo Kazooie. Though I had heard some rumors about them, but still I though you could get them only in Banjo Tooie. So in other words, I'd very much like to see how to get them ;)

Wow! I had now idea TMNT2 could be glitched so much. In fact a little bit too much for my taste, but still I liked it ;D (yes sounds somewhat confusing). Voting "yes" because there is so much imrovement to the previous one, plus this is at least as interesting. When I hadn't seen Baxter's new run, I was thinking that 2-player run would be more interesting because then there would happen more on the screen. But now after seeing this, there's alredy pretty much happening so I doubt 2-player run (with these glitches) would look drastically better. While watching the run, I recorded and encoded it, so when someone wants to publish this, contact me to get the .avi ;).

Looks much more entertaining - and faster - than the previous run, so I'm voting for "yes". (Not that it matters any more since it has already been accepted) While watching this run, I recorded it and encoded it so if any publisher has any free time, contact me ;)

Yes, I would also like to see that kind of run. Though, I'm not so sure it would be more entertaining but still.. Btw, Bisqwit. I think you should move all of the post here from Waps latest to this one to the Pokemon R/B topic.

w00t!? It's already finished? I myself have only reached about half way of the game and started playing it about the same time you created the Pokemon R/S/E topic :D. So I'll watch the run to the part which I have reached and continue from there after I have finished the game. That's because you don't get as much from the run unles you have playd the game yourself. I'll edit my comments on this post after i have watched the first half. EDIT: It would be nice to know which rom you used. Otherwise, watching the movie could prove to be quite difficult ;). I have tried following roms: 0757 - Pokemon Sapphire (J)(GBANow), 0898 - Pokemon Sapphire (U)(Intro Hack)(Mugs), 1237 - Pokemon Sapphire (U)(1.1)(Independent), 2011 - Pokemon Sapphire (E)(1.2)(Independent) and none of them works. The 0898 - Pokemon Sapphire (U)(Intro Hack)(Mugs) seemed to match with your movie file but it also desynched before the game even actually started. So any ideas what I might have done wrong or why the movie desychs in the very beginning?

I just noticed that I hadn't seen this movie and of course I had to watch it. It's outstandingly good and I liked it so much that I'll now have to check that I haven't missed any other of Atma's works. I hope to see more of your fantastic runs in near future ;)

Download Mupen64 and try it. I personally like it much more than Project64. For more info about it go to http://tasvideos.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2934&start=0 EDIT: And you propably should have posted this here, instead of making a new topic.

I have made an list of what items samurai goroh used in the testrun from Crescent Island to the end of the game. That's because yesterday samurai goroh contacted me (through irc) and asked me to do that because I have recorded an .avi of his testrun - which makes it a lot easier to check the items. So I though some of you might also be interested in seeing that list and wanted to post it here. http://koti.mbnet.fi/maza-/ffv_testrun-item_list.txt The .avi from which I checked the items isn't properly encoded so it's size is 6,5gb. I'm currently trying to encode it so all of you who'd like to have, could get it. Unfortunately I have encountered some difficulities and it may take some time to get it into preferable size. But I hope I'll figure it out during the next week. ;)

Wow! Thanks for that pirate_sephiroth. It even found my Xbox 360's Z axis buttons, which most games doesn't. Though it would be nice to be able to set the buttons in the emulator as well, but this will do just fine. Now, I do have one other improving idea for the next version (I'm quite demanding, aren't I ;D). It would be nice to be able to switch the sound on/off while recording an .avi. Exactly like Snes9x does, except there isn't a switch for it. Snes9x just cut the audio off when recording. I really like this way much better than with audio because there's a really good chance the FPS is below the normal when recording, and thus the sound isn't that plesant. But since some people might like the audio even while recording I suggest the on/off switch, a simple check box somewhere would do just fine. I hope you understod at least something of my babbling ;)

I have understood that Emerald is similar to Yellow (of the R/B/Y series) and Crystal (of the G/S/C series). In other words, Ruby and Sapphire are almost the same with few minor changes, when Emerald is a little more different. Though, I haven't my self played Emerald, so I can't be completely sure about that.

There was something in the game that I didn't like but can't quite figure out what that something was. But because we are not voting for the game it self, but to a well-made, fast and entertaining run, I'll give this a Yes vote. In fact, nitsuja managed to make this game look rather interesting, even though there is something my subconscious doesn't like about this game ;). To mention specifically something good in this run (besides the speed and accuracy): the way you flied in the 6th stage made an impression on me - don't know why but I just though it looked cool. Hmm... I just noticed that this run was already accepted but i guess saying out loud my oppinions isn't a bad thing. :)

I'd really like to be able to set Common Hotkeys to Gamepad as well (not only to keyboard). Could it be possible to get this upgrade to the next version? If I'm not mistaken, some other people would also like this, and I don't believe there would be any harm in it.

Nice. Since you are thinkin of making a run of R/S/E, i simply have to play it through ;). I once started Ruby (or Sapphire, don't remember which) but got bored around the time I reached the Volcano city/town. Now I begun a new game (Sapphire) with Torchic. Do you have any plans for the run? For example which starter, what pokemons are you going to catch etc.?

I just rewatched the run, and my vote is still yes, but I have one question. In the AstroMan stage, the place where there are those appearing blocks which you need to climb to top left and grab the ladders to reach a new room, which has two CDs: one you can reach with Ice Wall (or with the appearing blocks), and the other one which originally needs Gospel Boost to be able to reach. (you use Ice Wall in there). When you return down the ladders, wouldn't it be better to wait for the blocks to appear again, rather than drop down to the very bottom? If anyone is interested - publishers including ;) - I have made an .avi of this run.

Yep, looks very fast. You make the game look rediculously easy :). I kinda wish it was in english because that would make it more entertaining but I know the reasons for the japanese version so lets just leave that discussion out of this thread. It's nice to see some changes in the battles with the rod breakings and Death Claw+attacks, since it gets kinda boring in the end where you'll be using that Death Potion so much. But that isn't something you can affect much (with out loosing time), so just continue it. I'm sure you'll make it look good even though some battles seem kinda identical. Keep up the good work, samurai! ;)

If you vote "no" for an outstanding run like this, you really should have at least justified your actions.

Wow! I had already watched the WIP (beating all boss stages), but the movie definitely didn't end there like I thought. The King Stages and Wily stage were very entertaining. To mention a few, I raelly liked your "colordash" in second King stage. Plus that ColdMan glitch was hillarious :D. Only mistake (or possible improvement) I was able to spot was the usage of Tengu Dash. There were few stages where you could have used it instead of sliding (which is a bit slower, isn't it?). In my oppinion, this is more entertaining than the currently published Rockman & Forte run which aims for only fast completion. Though it has few interesting tricks which this one doesn't (for example the death trick in King Stage). One more good thing in this run: now we can have both, Rockman and Forte runs (that is if this gets published, which I don't doubt at all). Since in my oppinion we don't need two playing-fast-through runs of the same game only with different characters. But this and the fast-through run with Forte are different enough (besides the character change) so we can have them both. Only possible choise in voting is YES!

Damn that Rollout is useful tech in a speedrun! Your run was very fast (as it is supposed to be :P) and had few unexpected choises in routes, which made it even more entertaining. Can't wait to see your Kanto-run. Keep up the good work FractalFusion. Btw, what do you mean with "set the system back to May 19"? I didn't do it and the run still played just fine. Do you mean that the OS's date (in my case Windows') should be set to May 19, or what? I'm just eager to know even though it doesn't affect me ;)

GuanoBowl, that's quite funny :D ...but I still don't aprove using the 2nd controller trick (unless you are making pure entertainment like the one you showd)

Nice. I was kinda "wtf!? why isn't he taking all of those froits along the road" until I saw the shyguy swarm and remembered.. :) This time the stage emulated perfectly (with the plugins I mentioned above). The only exeption was the boss, which somehow looked a bit more two dimensional than I remember seeing in the real N64.

Playd back fine with me as well (though it desynced once ). Use following plugins to make it work: Jabo's Direct3D6 1.5.2 N-Rage`s Direct-Input8 V2 1.80a (REMEMBER to uncheck Raw Data from Controller 1) Jabo's DirectSound 1.6 RSP emulation Plugin Though, as hero of the day, I also hade some graphical problems. If I understood him right, mine are exactly the same. So the problem is most likely with video plugin. About the run: it looks very fast, again ;). I wish the graphics vere as they should be so it would be more pleasant to watch it (and maybe notice some misstakes better).

RETIREMENT!? You can't do that! Please, consicider all of your noble fans and co-workers who will have very dark life without your astonishing runs. (okay, maybe I overdid it just by little but you get the point :P)
