Any of you guys interested in doing a Z2 100% TAS with me? (Take in mind that I will be using BizHawk for this)
I think I can go for it too. I can even do both Any% and 100% simultaneously if possible. I'm gonna join you, I don't like BizHawk as much as VBA, but will work on BizHawk for this one if you want to. I'd like to do Any% on VBA.

Looking forward to the improvement of MMZ2 any% run, and I have to tell you that someone is working on MMZ3 100% run.
I'm too late, hehe. Well, good luck to this guy. Will be nice if you know if he's posting WIPs or not and where (thanks in advance).

I actually have plans to do Mega Man Zero 2 Any% and Zero 3 100%, gonna do them on VBA- v24. I still like this emulator a lot and comfortable with.

Was that just luck manipulation or is there a trick to it? I've been playing this game off and on since it came out and have never been able to quite figure that one out.
It is just a luck manipulation. If you enter a totem at a certain frame, you get a certain pattern, so you choose a specific frame to enter in order to get the optimal pattern that can save more time. In All Stages, these totems can be skipped using Ice Burst of X since the reploids are not important while in 100% they are, and need rescuing, also there is a Blade Armor part to get as well as a heart tank.

Well, it that I miscalculated the improvements, as the way to increase Juste's level is much optimized in Any% due to limited heart size because we need around 55 hearts when savewarping. Thus, I think that the current Any% run has nothing to improve except skipping the Soul Orb while this last is for entertainment.

If this run is going to be published, I suggest the encode in the submission as an official one for publication.

Getting Soul Orb is some kind of entertainment trade-off. I do not think skipping Soul Orb is an improvement, but you can do that as long as you state how many frames are saved due to the skipping. It seems that there are no other possible improvements.
That what I just thought of too, but I can keep this by just adding a code that shows enemy's damage like yours while making an encode, thus I can still save time and keep the entertainment as well.

If you are going to be remaking the any% run, I hope you use BizHawk and not VBA...
Well, I already started the run on VBA v23.5, also I should compare to current run to see if I'm losing or saving time. I also thought about using BizHawk I don't know if I can do it on it. VBA is still good for TASing though.

Hi, I'm in the way of making a new Any% run, and I'm trying to find some new strategies, major things I concluded: -The soul orb should be skipped, like all furnitures. -The way to increase the level in Shrine of the Apostates can now be improved. -Skipping Shadow fight and savewarping to trigger only the MK's Bracelets dialogue is not possible as the game still thinks that Juste is still fighting Shadow. -Maybe possible to skip the Dracula's dead animation and the orb if there is a way to get Medicine Jar. -The route is still the fastest as skipping Shadow and get to Maxim (after fighting Devil or skipping it too) is not possible except if there is Moon Gravity, which is slower compared to savewarp.

Well, I thought I could but the inernet "betrayed" me once I started uploading and I'm still trying, since I made an HD encode for official pub. I just forgot about mentioning it already. Btw, thanks for the encode, that will help currently of course.

I am waiting for an encode to watch this run, but I'm excited about this! I just saw Hammerin Harry at SGDQ, and it looks like this TAS finally incorporates strategy improvements mentioned at SGDQ.
Currently, I have big problem with internet so that's why I didn't upload an encode until now, I will try again and upload it, hopefully you like the run.

Yeah, that will be very helpful too. Robert already gave them to me on 2013, I forgot about them, I thank him from this post. Thank you a lot too, hellagels.

I once heard from you from the forum that you found a 2 minutes improvements over my run, I surprised back then. Now, this surprising time almost killed me. EXCELLENT IMPROVEMENTS. KILL MY RUN, lol. It is obvious, I'm voting yes. Btw, I want to improve the any% run, but I need the cheat code that allows seeing enemy's damage since Soul Orb will be skipped of course. Can you please write the cheat address?

This run looks pretty good, I just got it in sync lately. I didn't watch the encode because I like to watch runs on emulators rather than on YouTube in order to see the inputs. My point of view about Mupen is the same as TASVideos rules, Mupen is such a terrible emulator for creating TASes for N64 games, BizHawk should be used instead, and I don't think there is something that prevents from using it, as I already saw 2 TASes, one of OoT (it was the "No Doors" run by TayloTotFTW) and the other one was of MM (it was the 100% wip (I can't remember who made it)), both of them use resets. Is right that BizHawk runs at only 80fps as max speed (the same case for me, I duuno why) but it is not a strong reason to use Mupen instead, it is much better to get a stable run even if it runs on a slow emulator than getting a run on a fast emulator but terribly unstable, because I replayed the movie multiple times and I got it in sync only 2 times which wastes a bit of time. If only BizHawk uses the same core and not Mupen64Plus, it will be much great, probably the timing is the reason. Anyway, the run is pretty good even if on Mupen64, a big YES vote from me.

Most of people who just got excited from what they saw as a first TAS can't wait until they try there first attempt regardless if it doesn't even clear the gane in a record time, I was one of them, as I prepared several movies and submitted them as soon as I registered on TASVideos, if I can remember, I submitted like 6 submissions in less than half hour with a very destroyed english, all of them rejected of course but those was the most of my first runs and I still like them and I have other ones from my childhood until now. From this post, I want to thank FractalFusion for some helps he gave me back then (and he was and still my hero, lol)

Great and a big YES vote from me, but just to note something about my old cancelled run, I said thanks to everyone who makes a TAS for Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and with that I mean thanks to guys who are authors of current TASes since I used them as reference to inspire glitches from (copied inputs too), and I didn't try to not to mention something about that. This is just a misunderstanding problem only I think, and I'm sorry if I didn't name authors in the submission. Anyway, that was 3 years ago, we should leave that behind. This is a strong run and enjoyable to watch, also strikes my old bad run by 2m31s. YES vote again.

For some reason the YT encode doesn't seem to load. I'm not sure what's wrong since the ID should be correct... <EDIT> Nevermind. Now it seems to be working. Just had to wait a while probably due to changing the status to public quite recently <EDIT>
This happened to me as well one time but it was fixed from itself. That may be a youtube bug or something. Anyway, I liked the run and of course I'm voting Yes.

Wow klmz, it has been a very long time since you have submitted a TAS (from 2011 I think). Nice to see skilled players come back after a long time to show there skills again. Nice run klmz. Yes vote. Edit: I forgot about Castlevania AoS All Souls run, you were a co-author. All souls run was fantastic btw.

It can't be ACE, because once the player has ACE access they can always beat the game instantly.
But it gives a large amount of missiles and super missiles (maybe infinite) like Space/Time glitch in a GT code run. Anyway, though it does not provide any warping things or such that skips something. Absolutely Yes vote.

I want to vote Yes but I'm confused about the glitch used in Draygon fight. Is that a kind of ACE? Other than, the whole run is great.
