I'll vote 'meh'. I'd lie if I said that it wasn't entertained, but the constant jumping noise also drilled a hole in my head.

I loved the game, I like this run, I'd like to vote 'yes', so I'll do it any moment now.

I got bored after the first castle... Yeah, short attention span FTW! Since I didn't really watch much of the movie, and was rather tired at the time (I think it was after midnight that I watched it), I won't vote for now. I'll try to watch it again tomorrow.

But today isn't April 1st... Maybe he got confused and posted it a day early?

How about one of the areas with the wind where one of your shadows appears on the other side of the screen because you're moving too fast?

Yeesh, talk about confusing. Well, thanks for the clarification. I guess I just missed whatever it was that blocked the statues.

But those statues don't move at all, and I can see that they acknowledge Lolo being in the line of sight because they change the way they look.

I must ask this: What's with those medusa head statues? You mostly seem to want to have something between you and those things, but sometimes you don't seem to have a problem moving so they can "see" you. What are they supposed to do?

I'm sorry, bu that doesn't change the fact that it got on my nerves and that I didn't enjoy watching most of the run, generally because of the Volteccer. The floor-clipping in that one level and something else I can't recall gave a few wtf-moments that got me to vote 'meh' instead of 'no'.

I like how it seems that Ryu neglected his physics and stealth lessons to hone his ass-kicking skills. I might have missed the glitch you mentioned where the enemy goes insane and goes off the platform. Is it because of this other glitch you mention which causes enemies to spawn sooner than they should, so the enemy spawns off-screen and kills himself before you reach him, or perhaps something else, or maybe I'm just blind? Anywho, voting yes.

I'll give it a 'meh'. There were some entertaining bits, but mostly it bored me. Not sure why, but I think that it seemed like everytime you hit an object with the Volteccer, it was another delay. Of course it wasn't really, since if it was you wouldn't use it, but that momentary stop kind of got on my nerves. IIRC, I had the same problem with the other Pulseman run.

I didn't watch the previous run because the screenshot looked kind of 'meh' to me. That was foolish. Great run, funny game.

Then I have no idea why there's a difference in naming.

I didn't mean percentage of items, but percentage of game objectives. If it said '100% Super Metroid Run', then people might expect for the run to have Samus complete every objective, perhaps including saving those things.

Maybe an actual 100% run would include saving those weird creatures that you can save? That might be it.

Well, personally the only Metroid runs I enjoyed watching were of Metroid II and Metroid Fusion, since I own those games. The others usually start boring me after around half an hour, so I wasn't surprised that I concentrated more on the input than the run itself.

What will happen if someone makes an improvement on this run that doesn't have super awesome special input for display? While I liked the input, I think it was a bit detrimental to the run (in my case), since I just watched the input, not the run itself. When the movie ended, I thought to myself that this is the end of the input, not of the run. I'm not trying to say that the movie is bad (it's obviously a great run, improves on the last run and all), but perhaps the input display is given too much importance here?

Let's see, fast music... The theme for the first couple of levels in Wily's Fortress in MM2 Wind Man's theme (MM6) Absolute Zero - MMX2 (not sure about this one, it's cool and all, but it's so short) Rotating Rooms - Super Castlevania IV Clocktower - Castlevania III Julius' Theme - Castlevania AoS Blah, I can't really think of too many. Last, mostly since I wasn't sure about adding it, is 'From seeing the rough wave', De Rol Le's theme from Phantasy Star Online. I'm not sure if it's really fast-paced enough or not.

Hmm... Well, I don't really know much about real-world music, to be honest. But video games have some cool music that's usually speech-less. Some ideas: Keen-edged blade - Tales of Symphonia (battle music in last area, and IIRC, the Nifelheim book area) It can waver and fight - Tales of Symphonia (battle music from last boss' first form) Faith and Reality, the themes for levels 3 and 4 from Ikaruga The Spirit Chaser, the boss-fight theme in Surlent's arc in Rudra no Hihou Toge Toge - R-Type III (that half-way boss in level 3 or 4, IIRC) Rufus' Welcoming Ceremony - Final Fantasy 7 And so on and so forth. I suppose that you could find some themes that are more fitting.

How about 'Moving Very Slowly' by Taranchula (well, not really, but from the homestarrunner.com place). It would be rather humorous seeing as we're talking about really fast playthroughs. You could have the part with the raining acid in Castlevania 3, Alucard's Path show for the line 'aciiiiiiid, rains from the 'bove', and have Samus kill Mother Brain for 'braindeeeeaaaad, state of your mind'... Etc', etc'.

Maybe someone could obliterate Burai Fighter Deluxe. I got that game when I was a kid, and just hated it so much. The game just got on my nerves, since it seemed to do everything it could to ruin my fun (mostly by sending high-speed enemies at me from the unlikeliest directions, and switching scrolling-directions almost all the time). Heck, half the time I would get stuck on the first boss. Anyway, I don't think I could ever touch this game myself, but watching someone zip through it with apparently no effort would be like a dream come true.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I thought I'll use it to "show off" a run I made of mode B, which I believe can be much more entertaining than mode A. I used slow-mo rather than frame-advance, so the run can be improved pretty much everywhere, especially on the first level, as can be seen in later levels (odd that the first level takes the longest for me). Maybe someone who knows how to make a TAS and do some luck manipulation could show that enemy sub who's boss. Anyway, link. PS: I noticed a bug in the emulation. Sometimes when you resurface/submerge the screen seems to get stuck between the surface and radar screens for a while. Rather annoying.

Both an improvement over the current movie, and fun to watch (at least in my opinion, which admittedly after my stupid suggestion concerning Pokemon Sapphire isn't worth much). Submission = Very Yes

I've been rather busy in college, but I'll check your WIP right now. I'll edit in my impressions. Very good! Level 2 is rather lag-heavy, but I guess that's not something that can be helped. Can't wait for you to meet that guy that just goes flying when you hit him (does he do that in super-hard mode? I don't recall).

Sorry, but it appears that as I feared, college is quite a bit of work, so I won't be able to work on a sort of demo-run for a long while.
