Because I'm unsure from the previous posts, would you prefer the published file be done with GBA bios or as is? TASVideos itself does not care but the console verification community uses GBA bios. I don't think it is exactly necessary for it to be the publication file however, but I'd like to know your preference.

MrWint, are you planning on looking into some of the improvements suggested or should I move ahead with judgment?

A couple of decent moments aside I felt it was fairly meh. However, it's on the upper end of Atari 2600 games for me in terms of entertainment... which is to say most are rather dull. If you're comparing against the site as a whole this would be vault, if you're comparing against other Atari movies I could see an argument for moons.

The twitch vod link died, mind if I replace it with the saved highlight? Also I assume you all want the proper input file to end where it currently does. If so we'd like an input file that reaches the credits to be uploaded to userfiles for encoding purposes. I've been informed that it does reach credits, it just takes super long.

OK no, I'm not putting up with this. We've had additional people look into this as well so there really doesn't seem to be any room for alternative interpretations. We did look into Ryse and as far as we're aware they are not a pre-existing user on the site. Directing xenophobia towards our userbase is COMPLETELY unacceptable, no matter where it was done, and we must take actions to protect the users of the site. You will now be banned.

I think it’s reasonable to see where Xipo is coming from with some of his complaints but, fact is he could have easily just tried to communicate with people to get some of them fixed. The TASeditor situation is in a sort of gray area. How TASVideos handles authorship essentially places a lot of the obligation on the submitter and other potential coauthors to figure things out amongst themselves, but we have some clear baseline rules that this situation doesn’t quite violate. On the other hand the situation with Ninja Gaiden 2 was clearly a miscommunication. I do not think it was appropriate at all to attack Samsara without consulting her that she did something wrong. Similarly the situation with Super C I fail to see Xipo providing any indication until the TASeditor event that feos did anything wrong, nor by most reasonable standards did he do anything wrong. Additionally the statements directed at the entire western TASing scene is in my opinion completely uncalled for and xenophobic. I’d like to hear a response from Xipo for all this prior to any further discussion or actions. We are not happy with those that direct hatred towards the community at large. If amendments are not made, we will be forced to take action.

Your tone of sarcasm is quite obvious. Acting like a martyr is also not winning you any favors in this department either. The amount of cherry picking you have performed is also not productive in the slightest. If this continues your posting privileges will be taken away.

What are you even asking for aside from tangents about freedom of speech? I believe that it was originally about Moth's conclusion that they implicitly endorse hate speech. I believe plenty of evidence has supported Moth's claim. I don't see why moth should not have provided the conclusion he reached and the same one most people will reach. Is it because you view this as somehow "political"? Why should he not bring it up then if it is political?

There's a difference between blind assumptions and conclusions based on patterns. Any single event on its own might not lead to that same conclusion. Altogether, this is a fairly easy conclusion to reach. And if it was a wrong conclusion, they certainly have not been eager to prove otherwise.

Statements of transphobia were made by operators publicly in official channels. Whether or not this was intended to be hostile towards transgender people should be obvious. As far as I know, no actions have been taken against this, so I think it's fairly safe to say that the organization overlooks the behavior if not outright endorses it. Additionally I think it's fair to say that nobody likes being bullied. If somebody is transgender and sees this behavior, they can reasonably assume they are not welcome. As a transgender woman, I cannot in good faith send people to freenode where they will be exposed to this bullying. As a TASVideos staff member, I try to be careful with what I say publicly because I believe that what I say will reflect back on us as a whole. What one says publicly likely reflects internal discourse and policy. It's hard to imagine that one's behavior is somehow completely different. I see very little reason to believe freenode plans to continue to operate in the same way it did in the past in regards to hate speech. It seems silly to me to argue otherwise.

If one has to be that level of cautious in regards to freenode staff, it's worth taking as many steps as one can as to move away from it.

Enough of this, it wasn't really on-topic to begin with and the hostility is readily apparent. Grueing this and deciding what else to do after some sleep.

Looking good! Why is that lap skip only used/possible on the final lap?
Jumping around the finish line is only possible with boost, which you don't have on the first lap. Actually it's better explained in the description of the video:
Now on to checkpoint/lap skipping. Basically, there are 3 important checkpoints: 0 (just before the finish line), 1 (just after the finish line) and 117 (just before checkpoint 0). It's possible to skip from checkpoint 1 to 117 provided you're on the same lap and that you don't hit checkpoint 0. The thing is, the lap count and current checkpoint don't update if you're airborne and are not directly above the track, so you can just fly off to the side of the road while on checkpoint 1, go backwards until checkpoint 0 is cleared and then land back on the track to skip most of the lap. This is done twice to skip from the end of lap 1 (after first crossing the finish line to get boost power) to the end of lap 2, then again to go from the end of lap 2 to the end of lap 3.

Does it sync on a proper revision of dolphin or just the dirty build? Been struggling a bit to even get past the start.
