This isn't aria, this is clearly HoD with the backdashing off ledges. For a while I didn't feel movement had that much variety but at the 44 minute mark it starts to become truly great. Yes vote.

That's extremely common, you pretty much always need to match the exact controller config on dolphin.

I see absolutely no reason to have both zips and no zips for this hack. There's way too much redundancy between Sonic and Knux and Tails in these hacks/vanilla as it is. In fact we want to transition away from "character in vanilla game" hacks to more dynamic and extensive hacks. To the people that don't like "no zips", what about zips? Do you just not like this hack in general or would you prefer zips?

So I feel zips really aren't the way to show off a hack like this, with zips it feels not all that different to sonic. Admittedly I'm not in love with "X character in Sonic game they're not from" hacks to begin with and there have been some way more interesting hacks in recent years. However until we start receiving some of those, we're kinda stuck with what we got. I'd honestly lean towards obsoleting zips with no zips if voting was better but as is it's kinda borderline. As totally separate branches... it's very eh to me...

I would like to suggest [4225] PSX Tomb Raider II: Starring Lara Croft by Troye in 44:11.36. It has a lot of creative platforming and interesting glitches. The snowmobile segment is a real highlight too, which is just so extremely superhuman. The movie also has some really high ratings, with an average entertainment rating of 8.7.

So, does aiming for all these side goals count as full completion or would they count as speed/entertainment tradeoffs (assuming that they do indeed cost time)? EDIT: I completely missed the blurb that they don't cost time in the submission text, silly me.

I don't disagree that it's natural that it's disjointed, in fact I have no problems with that. I think the frustration more comes from the fact that the ambassador of the site is one of the organizers. If TASBot is its own thing then imo we need to start looking into outreach events of our own and reconsider how we handle things. We need to stop relying on the TASBot crew to do that for us and reconsider how we treat the ambassador role. EDIT: To clarify, this isn't really directly a criticism of the TASBot community or the ambassadors in question. Life is a thing, people find their own groups etc. However, as a site tasvideos needs to revisit the role and how we want to handle outreach. I don't think this is a particularly appropriate topic for this particular thread though so I'll leave it there.

IronSlayer, black lives matter started out as a hashtag on social media. All it means is what it says "Black Lives Matter". That means stop killing them and stop oppressing them. Some organizations affiliated with the movement may choose to ally themselves with other related movements but it is far from representative of the movement as a whole. This is easily verifiable within 1 google search. I recommend you read Black Lives Matter: A primer on what it is and what it stands for if you would care to actually learn what it is like. Given that this thread obviously cannot remain civil I am locking it pending moderator discussion.

Note this is not actually Black Lives Matter, it's one organization that supports the movement, but it in itself is not the movement. TurboNyma is most accurate, PCEHawk has certain debugging tools and HyperNyma... exists I guess. Not sure about the details with that one.

If you have to use too many exceptions in your goal definition, it's not really a good goal. If we're already talking about replacing the goal with a better goal, it's REALLY not a good goal.

This seems extremely arbitrary of a category, the exact kind we don't want. This kind of category makes sense for RTA to some degree but not really for TAS.

Oh the fastest completion flag is missing from this run. That was an oversight, not any sort of deliberate decision. EDIT: That has been fixed.

I'm the judge for one and the judge team collectively made the decision. We don't follow the RTA community's "any%" naming/branching scheme and never have.

They're fixed in the JP version. English version has faster gameplay, JP has faster text.
