Also I'll be honest, the DTC host does not get the right to veto team names. The only reason somebody should veto a team name is if it is massively inappropriate. "Team 5" is far from that.

I really don't like this rule tbh. It means in the event of two equally as fast strategies, I have to go with whatever gets the most score rather than whatever is the most entertaining. Same with downtime.
"Most entertaining" is dependent on the viewer's opinion, as evidenced by the numerous arguments that have happened on the Workbench regarding how entertaining one submission was compared to another, whereas score is objective. WarHippy has already stated the reasoning I used to make that rule, so I do not have anything else to add. The rule stays.
I wasn't asking for entertainment as a tie breaker, I was asking for no tie breaker.

It's a purely arbitrary criteria I won't be aiming for.

Honestly I don't see why that game necessarily NEEDS a Star. Like YEAH THIS SURE IS BASED OFF MEGA MAN and it has some great music but otherwise it's really not compelling.

I'd rather not change the game at this point. Graphics aren't everything.

I actually voted yes because it was kinda funny just how fast you moved. Never played the game before.

Colin, I think instead of making assumptions such as "I think this will be obsoleted by all levels" maybe ask what the differences are. Thank you for listing them Jules.

Being faster than RTA is not enough to be accepted in all cases.

People are voting here anyways so it kinda doesn't matter. Besides I feel having an actual discussion is good.

I was expecting a lot worse when I was about to watch the movie, but I ended up liking it. Music isn't great but it's not egregiously bad, I've heard worse. While you could argue the game is rather simplistic, it still has a good pace for the most part and never really wore on me. This game has some blind jumps that are terrifying to watch that would probably be awful for casual play but feel really good in a TAS setting. I admit, I loved the movie this game is based on but that's like such a non-factor watching this TAS since it kinda doesn't really remind me much of it at all. Also that end screen is hilarious for all the wrong reasons. Yes vote. EDIT: Looking at the old thread... I'm not sure how the run got sent to Vault in the first place. Like only two people in the thread really expressed a negative opinion on the game prior, and then Nach suddenly decided that he didn't like the game at all and rejected for bad game choice?

It doesn't make sense to me to do timing based on console because 1. sometimes verification can be sorta segmented (see Mario Kart 64) and 2. our encodes use emulators and it would make sense to have the timing be accurate to the encode.

sick stuff! btw i don't wanna hurt your feelings again, but i have to get this off my chest: you seriously lack game knowledge! i can easily tell from looking at the gameplay. but now i think i have an idea why! i assume you didn't spend much time with any other version than the color one, right? because that would make sense then, since it is significantly less laggy and thus it is waaay harder to spot smaller lag differences like candles and such. me on the other hand, i only spend time with the EU and JP version of the regular game and this evidence strongly suggests that it might be beneficial to play the regular version first to gain a better sense of less significant improvements. (...or you could just research existing runs to avoid rather obvious mistakes, but i understand that this video here was only a test) ps: don't let this discourage you, i don't mean it personally! your new stuff is great!
