Really slow. The bodies of enemies aren't worth that much. I think they're like 2 pokos each when you need like 10,000 pokos to pay off the debt and there isn't that much treasure you can get without going to the second area. Treasure doesn't respawn, so the only thing you could really grind for pokos are the corpses. Additionally, unlike day 1, time still passes on day 2 so the day clock still goes down every time you make the trek to the first cave, making it very likely it'd take multiple days. Unless you'd be counting this as some form of low%, it'd be slower than just going to other areas.

[16:08:10] <BenLubar> a TAS is just the limit of a segmented speedrun as the segment length approaches zero

Arcterra 1 Redone: Link to video New stuff starts at about 1:17. 828 frames faster than previous version due to two new skips.

Alinos Second Visit: Link to video 7583 frames ahead. The reason I paused and unpaused early and then paused again quickly was to manipulate a guardian into not spawning.

I was ultimately unable to get that working, so I will continue using what I have been using. WIP 1 of Alinos First Visit: Link to video A little over 5934 frames ahead of rough draft total. If a bomb is close enough to an enemy/plant thing it will detonate immediately. This allows for some very fast bomb unmorph jumps.

I redid a little bit of CA1 and hex edited a bit in where I could. I had grabbed an ammo refill in the room with Shock Coil (blue lightning) that I didn't need. 190 frames saved: Link to video

Is it just me or is the posted encode only 15 seconds of the TAS?

Doesn't the countdown continue when you leave the screen letting you get text storage elsewhere in the desert?

WIP 3: Link to video I'm now 2314 frames ahead. While it should be possible to grab the artifact while that section is invisible, I think it's less interesting than actually seeing the clip being performed and is the first real speed/entertainment tradeoff of the TAS. There won't be many though, mostly just stuff like this where I'd rather people be able to see what I'm doing. I also grabbed this etank instead of the one in Arcterra later on. While this one is 2 seconds slower to grab, I think it'd make up for it by allowing more missile jumps early on.

.tasproj is mostly just used in the making of bizhawk TASes with TAS Studio, they're uploaded to the site as .bk2 or based on whatever emulator was used.

I'm not sure, I haven't timed things particularly heavily yet. If I had to guess I'd say sub 50 is a reasonable goal with those skips and other improvements.

I double checked Sector 4 -> Sector 6 and the enemies are on the wrong side. Now the flies are able to push other flies into the wall but they seem to just get stuck there and not really accomplish much, but maybe you could do something with that. Probably would be super slow though, those things don't move fast.

I didn't mention meltdown because it was already ruled out earlier in the thread for the reason you just listed.

EDIT: I'm wondering if you could possibly skip elevators in between sectors by taking those sector shortcuts (you'd still have to stop at the nav rooms though...). I can't think of any that could possibly be useful after getting ice missiles though, and i don't think there are any enemies you can freeze to get out of those in-between tunnels to get through those SA blocks...
The only one I could see being useful would be 4->6 after diffusion missiles but idk if there are enemies that you could use on the sector 6 side. There is also the problem of "would this trigger all the relevant events" because sometimes elevator from a sector to the main deck changes the music to the ambience theme. If that's the case here, you might be missing a trigger.
