everyone having issues, try dming @discord on twitter with your claim number and ask something along the lines of:
Hi I sent an appeal of my disabled account that got rejected X separate times. My ID of the latest appeal was XXXXXXXX. All X were rejected by a bot, I have no human reviewing my appeals. Please have a human review my appeal.
I finally got a response due to doing something like that.

It appears that the rejections are being sent out by a bot, which is extremely annoying.

Not when you're rude about it and do it in a place that is completely non-productive.

Given the recent announcement of Deltarune chapter 2, I think this game is in fact releasing in an episodic format and the label of "Demo" doesn't really apply here. However, the lack of any verification movie file and I believe the unofficial nature of the Linux release (somebody can correct me there) still prevent it from being acceptable.

The youtube account was banned for being frequently disruptive in comments and for being directly insulting towards TASers.

To me this is a different category entirely. That is "Heavy Glitch Abuse/Forgoes time-saving glitches". We want to implement new goals one at a time. I'd definitely be interested in considering such a goal but with each goal we add we need to revisit the entire list of rejected publications. In order to not completely overwhelm ourselves and try debating about too many different things at once, I limited things to one at a time.

I think that we're basically done sorting out things between classes. If anyone finds anything off, post in the Class changes thread. Otherwise, I think we're pretty much good to add a new goal.

A lot of people prefer dark modes. You don't have to really have to like light modes. However, some people prefer light modes for certain accessibility related reasons so I definitely think there should be both.

How does one lose? Does it involve taking damage? A character dying or something close to that? Otherwise I don't quite think that applies.

You truncate to last input, tas timing is a bit different. EDIT: If it's particularly important we can put RTA timing in movie description.

So in a private staff discussion, we agreed to the following:
  • Loop 1 is always standard. In order for loop 2 to be standard, it needs to be an explicit in-game mode, even if it is hidden.
  • If the game has unique content in loop 2, we prefer both in one movie.
  • Loop 2 can obsolete loop 1 but it has to be entertaining. If it's not entertaining, but you still want to add loop 2, we prefer both in one movie.
Note that in most cases loop 1 means the hardest difficulty directly available. So for example, in Super R-Type, Hard mode is loop 1 and Pro is loop 2, since you can directly access Hard Mode, but need to use level select to reach Pro.

Good TAS for the most part. I bought this game a couple years back while I was at AGDQ 2020 and it was fun until I got unavoidable disc read errors about halfway through the game. I have one complaint really. I think towards the end of a Cat chase section you just sat still for a bit. I wonder if that's really necessary or if you could do some playaround during downtime. Some acrobatics, a glitch or maybe like shoot webs to the music I dunno.

If you would like to have rules changed, that can go in other threads. If a thread doesn't exist, make one. This thread is specifically for rule changes that already happened and we forgot about a submission. We will soon be incorporating a major addition to Standard that will result in us needing to revisit a ton of submissions. I want this thread relatively clean so we can easily document if we have revisited a submission.

There have been no recent rule changes regarding game shows. This is for rule changes that have already happened, not desired rule changes. Read the first post.

I think the only example of those that would be applicable at this point is Overlord, but somebody else submitted a TAS that improved on it and it was accepted. Aladdin I think we talked about at the time and agreed it shouldn't be accepted.

I feel the nature of the code being used should play a factor. If it takes you directly to loop 2, I'm more in favor of it being used than if it at best takes you 1 level before loop 2. Is it a level select? Is it a generic save password (used in games without proper save systems)? Or is it a designated loop 2 code? EDIT: I think I'm never in favor of accepting to Standard if the code does not take you directly to the start of loop 2.

Proper dark mode is being worked on, with a little surprise as well.

This kind of change to modules on the current site is probably not going to be a high priority for obvious reasons.

Summary of a conversation I had with feos on discord: Sometimes passwords are an intended and equally valid way of reaching a second quest/loop. Sometimes however, they are quite clearly marked as lesser. Genesis GnG doesn't allow you to start directly at the separate loop, and it puts "PRACTICE" on the bottom of the screen to indicate that you used a level select code. As such, using passwords to reach a second loop should be considered on a case by case basis... However, this does not address the initial question, which was "how should these be classed?"

Is second quest completely separate from the first if you play through first normally? EDIT: I mean do any items or hearts or anything transfer over?

? As the site is now, it's only displaying Stars icons, effectively putting Moons tier on the same visibility as the new Standards tier. We don't want to hide Moons just to make the lowest tier look less crappy, so pretty please implement the Moons icon in the recent publications list.
This is missing the point of the revamp altogether. Standard is not the lowest class, movies can be accepted to that class regardless of entertainment. Moons is exclusively for movies with odd goals or odd games. Read Movie Rules / History for details.

Movie Rules / History page created. Should make it easier for people to catch up on the latest rule changes that way.
