There's a few bug fixes here, and quick testing of performance (4 minutes of running my muramasa tas), it seems to be ~8% faster than the 470 build i posted a week ago.
I think I more prefer the 600% increase I get when running Dolphin in Debug mode.

Granted, there's generally an alternative to get back in bounds (Main Gyro Chamber would be annoying though, no idea what the best thing to do there would be). Still, it's completely changing how it has to be done compared to an actual console. :\

Not being able to use tricks that depend on a room taking time to load is just silly?

They're still just as non-existant as ever...

No, it's the same as MP1 (i.e. non-existant).

We should argue about this for 310 pages and make this the most popular thread on the forum.

You still didn't spell "Miles" anywhere. No vote.

Or, you know, just don't submit it here and do whatever you want.

Yes, why didn't you tell the guy in the 3 month old post who was specifically talking about a WIP that was just posted that too?

It ends after you collect either ship part.

As long as they also set helmet opacity to 0 while there.

There's tricks in Metroid Prime 2 that involve having a room load around you; these aren't possible on Dolphin currently due to the instant loading, but are possible on console. Just throwing that out there. >_>

I really enjoyed playing this, but yeah, it doesn't exactly make for a good TAS... No vote. Disappointing to see how many people are saying the hack is bad just from watching this though. :(

Also, while I haven't confirmed this, these values suggest that hard mode halves your damage output rather than doubling enemy HP.
Yes it does, considering not all of your weapons are halved. (I know bombs and Plasma's burn aren't... Wouldn't be surprised if PBs aren't as well but I have no idea) Are you sure Bombs do 20? It seems like they do 10 from when I tested it...

I looked up the SDA record for a frigate escape on the PAL version (0:04:25.40 remaining); that TAS is 4.1 seconds faster over that section, at 0:04:29.50 remaining. So at least it isn't unoptimized enough to lose out to a realtime runner, although I'm not sure how optimised the PAL frigate escape is on SDA (the author seemed to think 0:04:26 remaining was possible but not more, so unless a new realtime trick is found and someone uses it, I guess times like that are definitely in the TAS-only range).
He gained 7-8 seconds near the end because Dolphin doesn't emulate loads.

That one's the best. (...Any chance of a downloadable encode for this?)

Was one of those encodes a downloadable encode? I'd much rather take that over a YouTube link. >_>

Combat dashes were removed, though there's a(n insanely difficult though that doesn't matter in a TAS) way of getting it early in Trilogy. Not that it matters, because there's no reason to ever TAS the Trilogy version. >_>

The Trilogy version has ton of tricks removed, so no.

If you want to do nothing on a turn, switching your partner is faster than guarding or appealing.

First of all, I've never used the Mystery item, although Miles says it's "insanely slow". Would it really be worth it to use that to manipulate a Thunder Rage to use on Red Bones, or should I stick with Miles' idea and use a Fire Flower and Power Smash?
Mystery is slower for that fight.
Second, the speedrunner on SDA says that he needs to be at Level 8 or higher by Riverside Station to instantly kill the Goombas there. I noticed the speedrunner went into battle with some Crazy Dayzees but ran away. To get the Star Points needed, should I manipulate an Amazy Dayzee so I don't need to battle other enemies on the way to Riverside Station?
In the (real-time speedrun) route I made I don't go into any unnecessary fights and still end up at level 8 beforehand.
Finally, I noticed the speedrun on SDA does Frankie's trouble and gets a Gold Card. Why does the speedrunner do this if he never needs to play the Tube Parlor Game? It seems like it just wastes time.
See above.

Edit: Er, I just checked an SDA run and it just dashes to the outer ring. No reloading necessary.
