A word count would be useful although something like this might bump it up slightly

I had a further look into getting into HC from DC and there is 1:22 left, which I mentioned earlier. Last time 46 seconds was spent outside HC minus the owl conversation which doesn't impact on time, which leaves 36 seconds to navigate through Dm and HF. Kakariko is negligible because time doesn't pass there. Use a superslide to get out of DM from outside DC when the cutscene ends, and for entertainment sake try to do a forward superslide with Link facing the camera. It might make a good screen shot for when the run is published, superslide should be easy in HF, but the question is can DM+HF be done in less than 36 secs.

Am I suppose to go to Hyrule Caslte or GFF after Dodongo?
You still need to redo Dondongo's and try out some of the stuff I suggested eariler. You can't goto GFF because you need the lullaby and there is only about 1:20 worth of daylight., but there is a glimmer of hope that a superslides could make all the difference but it'll be a mighty tight. I still wonder if cucco collecting in Kakariko is worth doing for the bottle since a bottle has to be collected at some point.

Its only to keep people right and from looking stupid talking about Zelda. GANNON-BANNED site was started up by TSA, although he really needs to update it some time soon. I think Link is actaully re-incarnated every time Ganon/Ganondorf strikes, then again I'm not sure of that because one random Link might be choosen by destiny. Ganon/Ganondorf can never win becuase if one part of the triforce is evil or good then the other ones will always gang up on the other one. Allthough it would be interesting to have an evil princess who teams up with Ganon/Ganondorf to see what happends, providing its nothing to do with Zelda or equivalant being corrupted by Ganon/Ganondorf.

I thought he did that as part of a practice run, I wonder where he screwed up? His route pretty much follows the one I just stated. The furthest I've gotten so far is the Twinrova battle but by that time Sub 3 was slipping away, because of the huge mistakes on the way to the Forest Temple and during it. I think I took 8-9 attempts at the megajump and then died during the Stalfos battle where the arrows are supposed to be collected and there was also lots of niggly mistakes during Spirit as well, then I wasted another 3-4 attempts doing the megajump again.

Here's a .wmv file of DC. I speeded it up to keep the file size low although it should be possible to slow it down to normal speed, the only way I can view this is by using Guano's previously provided savestate. If anyone is desperate enough to see it here it is. http://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=download&ufid=7FC9763625442537 I didn't give a top notch one because the dungeon itself needs to be patched up a bit.

I completely agree with you. If you or someone else is planning to work on a all-medallion run, it basically means you are attempting to beat the game the way it was intended for us to complete it. Meaning and strongly recommended, NO skipping the trials in Ganon's castle.
Unfortunatley the run would be nothing like the intended way, the child adventure would more or less be a copy cat run of what Guano is doing. The adult route would follow something like this Shadow >> Forest >> Fire >> Water >> Spirit The Temple that would cause the greatest difficulty by far is the Fire Temple, because of the length and health issues. After all you need 5 hearts plus a fairy to survive the Volvagnia battle. Water would be the simpliest out of the lot because it would only take about 4-5 mins, since you don't need the longshot, then again there is the glitch to Volvagnia that allows you to skip the boss key.

I've thought about a medallion run, but I'm not going through the process where it might turn out being "Whats the point in this run its slower and therefore more boring. Making it a poor choice to obselete the previous run, While you may have been faster in simalar areas, you chucked in an extra hour of boring stuff (i.e. Temples(Fire, Water, Shadow, Spirit))". I would need reassurance that, that wouldn't happen, then again I'd like not to skip the trials in Ganon's castle, but what would be the point if someone got a simalar time up until then and just used the tower skip. EDIT: I'll wait to see what Kazooie's run turns out like if he ever sucessfully gets it, and also to see if its enjoyable to watch. The target to beat would be somewhere around the 3:30 range. I personally think a 100% run is way to much to ask and wouldn't hold the intrest of the audience very well, even if someone was able to get a time of around 6 hours (650,000 re-records maybe). Two clipping glitches might be used and they are boss key skip in fire temple and hover up to elavator in Forest. This is complicated but check Yautja's video of it if you don't understand what I'm saying. Guano could use it in his run although it might not be practical to use, because of essential bombs needed later on. EDIT_2:

I would first prefer to see a TAS for a all-medallion run. Dont get me wrong, I would love to see a 100% run :)
When making a TAS or Speedrun it usually makes more sence to do the fastest possible first, then followed by the longer ones via different catagories. Off the top of my head there must be roughly six catagories.

Rap with me bruttha. I'm pretty sure Finland has the highest taxes in the world at about 45% of overall income, while for me its about 35%. This is not solely based on income tax, its based on overall tax payed througout the year which is mainly obtained through goods and sevices, of course we all knew that.

Sadly no. The web skip has yet to be proven yet, I have my doubts if this is true. I ran the game earlier from the begining and it desynced after Link meets the owl for the first time. I hope this is not because of a specific rom being used note: I'm not refering to rom version numbers.

I watched a video of it and I'm voting meh for reasons that were near unavoidable. 1. Poor game choice, although its understandable why you'll disagree with this. 2. Very repetitve 3. Impossible to judge whether certain bits were optimized during certain parts of the game due to the nature of the game. Judging it is literally impossible. 2D driving games aren't really a choice except for maybe SMK, although there are plenty of good choices for 3D driving games. Although its a different console Top Gear Rally on N64 might be a good choice because of a lot of shortcuts, different weather condictions and some fancy moves that could be done over humps.

I managed to get it to work by using Guano's savestate, but my own ready save state desyced before, someone needs to check from the beginging, which I could do Tommorow by letting the movie run at 1000% from the begining while doing other stuff and then checking to see if it left outside DC. Comments on DC 1. Clever what you did on the bomb, although that probally be too tricky to pull off in real time 2. I'm not convinced about what you did in staircase room, you pull out the bombchu early and then start trying to cover up the wait with slow snacky style running , when it would have been best to get to where you need in the optimal time, backflip and pull out the chu. 3. I did quite a bit of research in the armos room quite some time ago. I'm not convinced about what you did for getting to the switch in the optimal time by jumpslashing on the armos and then turning and backflipping. There are two other strategies 1 of them being TAS excusive, 3.1. Backflip on the statue and then backflip off the statue and the onto the switch 3.2. This takes me ages to do on a console and requires precise line and tilt shift momentum. Roll towards the statue at and angle Link will appear on the statue and then continue on and jump off it, but that just the easy bit. Slow down and move left, by pull back and left on the analougue. You should be able to clip and land on the platform and then sidestep onto the switch. I think this is quicker than the previously mentioned one because you couldn't backflip imediateltly you needed to backwalk at an angle and then backflip. 4. I'll assume that the bomb hover to the bombs was optimal 5. You admitted it earlier that you didn't equip a stick after the bombs so there no real need to mention it. 6. I think you could of been better placed to perform the text skip, it didn't seem very optimal 7. This was the most obvious mistake. In the block room you should push the right edge of the block so you can side hop closer to the door. 8. More importantly, you didn't use the faster block pushing method which is too risky to do in real time. I'm not refering to Angerfist's soft block pushing method by the way of holding Z midway a push and then runninf up to the block while its moving. The faster method is timed so that you let go of A and then run up to the block, its like soft block pushing but not as fast, but its not possible to do the soft block pushes on them. If you want to know what the pushing looks like then refer to Acryte's video of it. 9. Dondongo is pretty easy to optimize in anyone's language. I also timed how long its till the wolf howl and there approximatley 1:22 left, which kind of makes me pessimistic as to if it possible to reach the castle grounds in time. Basic calculations in my head say it'll be night time when approaching the moat, which is doesn't sound good.

Your movie desynced at the start of Dondongo's, you backwalk then grab the ledge. I ususally have the input set to TAS 0.6, but when I used the original pluggin you had used it desynced when you blew the boulders at Goron City.

Actually I find the arm wresting in Shemue 2 really painful, it hurts my wrist and makes it go all floppy. Me and a friend needed to alternate because it had to be mainted at roughly at roughly 10 Hz (I think) just to be able to keep the the contest steady. I think 12-13 is needed to actually push the momentum against the computer in order to win, but you certainly have to maintain it for ages.

This is not a question regarding whether or not 30hz autofire is possible, but what is the likely human limit in realtime. Its impossible to produce it for several reasons which are mostly mathmatically based. 1. You must over come the force of the button caused by the weight of the button (this may seem laughable but its true) 2. The button must travel a few centimeters to touch the metal plates inside the controller 3. The finger must be released and then a human must build up enough power again to be able to overcome the force of the button (think of the human thumb like a capacitor) 4. Humans actually get tired by the stress caused by this. Activites that take the most energy are the stop start ones. On average I without making too big a deal of it, I can produce maybe 11-12 Hz, but someone who speacialises could probally mange 16-17 Hz and maybe with a special setup i.e. hand in freezer for an hour. It may be possible to get 20Hz. Although there must be calculations that could actually prove what a human could do. I brought this up out of a matter of interest.

Even though I haven't watched it, I don't think guidelines should be set so that its impossible for a ideal choice run on a certain game to get published. I'm not promoting the run but if a run is done perfectly in a way that no one can nit pik it, then it should get published due to the fact that its useful for un-assisted runners who may run the game themselved. Otherwise runs submitted will only go down to obvious choice games and runs meaning that 90% of the material will be on simalar style games.

Very good although maybe the evental goal could of been done in a more impressive way. I would like to see a TAS done on some football game, but the question is how do you obselete something like that. It did get repetive and obvious what you were doing mid way through.

Some of the stuff Adult Link does, does not get undone when turning back to a child.
