It's to do with COPA. Change your comments to "No, it's not made for kids" for all current and future uploads.

I don't see any kind of ACE ever being possible in the first cycle.

I get what the first, second, third and fourth dimensions are, but can someone explain to me what those fifth, sixth, seventh dimensions etc are?

Even more of the stuff is skipped now. Surely this ACE must be getting close to being optimised. Link to video

I feel bad for the guy who came tantalisingly close to discovering it 3 years ago.

I have no intention of doing an actual TAS of the game, but I made one as a rough guide for those who may wish the do the game at some point. Link to video

Syd of Valis is a game I'd like to see done at some point.

I agree with Alyosha, this movie amounts to changing the yardstick.

I take it we're going to vote on the best TAS based on the winners between 2010-2019?

Even the current WR isn't very good. I expect it to be lowered by 5 minutes over the coming days. At least this glitch doesn't crash the game on N64. So another TAS shouldn't be too far away.

I've been testing stuff on Deep Fear, which allows you to use the analogue and 2D pad. Both options have their advantages, which means a TAS would need to constantly switch modes to get the most out of the game. Normally, you'd use the switch at the bottom of the controller to change modes. However, there is no such option I could find when using Bizhawk. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/632752802653011980/635631554693038130/unknown.png Despite code in Mednafen (which the Bizhawk core is based off of) appearing to allow it. https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/632752802653011980/635632572163948544/unknown.png

This along with a full F-Zero run are the most overdue TASes on this website. Yes vote.

I might try and make a 3-4 minute WIP to see what is possible. I reckon there might be other skips possible with 2 players beyond just standing on the other player, and summoning a second player to an unreachable platform to nudge a useful item off.

I haven't tested anything, but I know he can be used to beat bosses twice as fast.

Would this be acceptable in a TAS? There is a cheat code by pressing a certain button combination on controller 2 that allows you to call a second player, and as a result break the game very badly due to the developers taking no account of there being a second player. Link to video

TAStudio will likely become favoured over time, but I still stick to using HxD for hex editing.

There isn't a great deal of information on it sadly, but I still stand by it likely has something to do with the air pressure. After all, pressure = volume/area, and the faster you travel the greater the volume of air you'll be colliding with. An explosion is essentially highly compressed air particles that travel faster than the speed of sound.
