Although nobody has commited to the run yet, its likely that whoevers going to do isn't going to go for the "Absolute fastest possible time" regardless of how the audience might percieve it. Of course I wouldn't want to see that technique endlessly used either, but it should most likely take up a large proportion of the run mainly becuase it looks so tool assisted. Although I would argue for the first level that maybe that method should be used throughout just so it could satisfy someone who wants to see a level beaten as fast as possible. Then after that a bit more variety could be used with grabs and team moves, and also showing a few 2p glitches like the invisble suplex glitch might be worth doing.

Ignore the stuff at the start since I started recording at the end of my last WIP. I tested out left, right punching and it seems to be about 30 frames faster than using double knee cancels on the guy I just tested on. Although it won't be clear at first, I'm landing about 3 hits with a standard punch and 4 with the low blow. I think Blaze can land 1 or 2 more with each hit. EDIT: I've included Blaze as well, theory on her was false. She lands the same number of hits as Axel on each punch as well as her extened kick (the equivalant of Axels low blow). http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1998029289/SOR.gmv

I can confirm this is true, since I just tested it myself. At first Link appears to lose the MS, but still has it when the scene starts. Ganon can be beaten in 3 cycles instead of 10 on the first phase greatly speeding up the process, but you're still forced to pick up "the other" MS in order to be able to apply damage to Ganon again. EDIT: Although a little time is still sacrificed in order to activate the superslide.

I don't know why Guano said the megaflip in Jabu wasn't possible, I'm not sure if the broken bridge is possible since with a hover boost AL grabs the just as hes about to fall short.

The movie was certainly interesting in the way that the two main characters characters unexpectably work with each other and it very well played as well. So I vote yes on this one. Personally IMO the game from a TASing perspective suffers becuase most of the enemies have too little health and often they get killed before they can even propely step on the screen.

320*240 ratio is pretty essential if you want to keep the video as simalar as possible to the one you've just uploaded.

Personally I think the question must change but to what exactly I've yet to determine. The only thing about rating submissions is will people be reponsible in terms of how they rate them e.g. Will they give it an automatic 10 just becuase they liked it, or 1 or 0 just becuase they didn't (looking at a certain Mr X). I think ratings would be good, but will they be seperate or have we got to balance up multiple elements in order to determine a final score. EDIT: I think the key advantage of the rating system would be to determine what runs to prioritise and what runs to quickly reject.

While they are differences between real and ingame time, I would be strongly against having two any% published under those catagories. Choose one or the other.

Guano will not be posting a WIP for a while at least until he completes Jabu, as nothing will differ much from what we've seen before. After watching the previous submission I would have to question a few things about the route. 1. Would not getting the mushroom as YL be benificial (*) 2. Would getting Epona right away as AL be of any good 3. When the poachers saw is obtained, using the bomb boosts to escape to the bridge in the LW would almost certainly be faster * Basically you could get Epona as soon as Link becomes an Adult, head for Gerudo , get caught and then bomb hover to the mushroom. While distances might seem somewhat large, remember that vast distances can be traversed very quickly with Epona.

In order to bypass DDD its likely that you'll need to reach teleport speeds simalar to the stuff seen in BoB. I've tested all the known BLJ locations in the basement quite some time ago and the outlook seems bleak at time of writing. Beating the game with zero stars would be equal to achivement of 16 to 1 stars.

My obvious thoughts are that most people would tend to choose Ryu or Ken mostly for there variety moves in order to make oponents jump towards them and nail them with a dragon punch. Although weaker in the more up to date games due to oponents having a multidude of moves to be able to counter. My personal favourite to use is Chun-Li, mainly becuase of her long range of her kicks and the fact she can jump off the edges off the screen. Also her swinging-bird-kick always seems to come top when in direct competion with Blanka, E-Honda, Ryu, Ken, M Bison and Balrogs charge attacks. Personally my favourite thing to do is make your oponent see stars, corner them, throw them and then use the lighting kick to ware off more of there energy.
