It was a wonderful run. Sure, I saw one of the timelosses mentioned above. But I love it. Can't wait to see Fusion and 100% runs of both these games.

That is not a valid reason. Just to plug in any USB-mouse. Right-clicking is integrated into the system. I, myself use a Microsoft Cordless mouse with 5 buttons and a scroll-wheel with two direction scrolling which works seamlessly, not even any drivers was needed to support these features.

That kind of sentiment is not very constructive, is it? He's asking for software help, not computer-buying advice.
I'm used to it, so no offence taken by that comment. bmecoli: The only games I play, is played just in emulators and since there is emulators for every console for mac (at least the same consoles that's available for PC) and they are more smooth than my friends computer with the double processor, so don't come with that crap. The WIP versions are the only ones i miss. I play many of these games every week. I would never even consider buying a PC again. I began buying Mac a couple of years ago and since then I've realised a thing or two. The ONLY reason not to buy a Mac is if you are a hardcore gamer (which this isn´t about).

So you mean that the WIP-versions isn't full versions of the emulators and just Add-ons? So I should be able to compile the additions for VisualBoy Advance and SNES9X and get it to work?

I've noticed all these WIP-builds for PC and Linux and would really like them to be ported to Mac too. If this would happen, I'd love to begin speedrunning a couple of games that I have in mind. The versions available for Mac right now are just insufficient and my PC's are too slow to use for this purpose. I just want to check if there have been any thoughts of this and/or the interest really is infinitly low, since it hasn't happened yet? I work as a programmer and with all computer related safety at a company, but porting program is something I've never tried. However the reactions might be; thanks in advance.

WOW. I feel like I'm having no games so suddenly, comparing to you. I have one NES (+ one pirate system who takes NES cartridges) + 5-8 games, 1 SNES + 10-15 games, 2 N64 + 20 games, 2 GameCube + 10-15 games (one of these have a Gameboy player) and also one GameBoy Advance SP with 5 games. Nintendo is the only gaming console for me... no Genesis or Playstation have ever been in my possession. OH! I've also had an old Game Watch and an very old system with 6 games in 1 where all games were black and white and were pong but with different backrounds.

About switching to the European version: Personally, I would of course like to be able to see a finished run as soon as possible, which will happen with the (U) one, but I would also like to be able to se the smv, since I only own the PAL cartridge and ROM. So, wathever will do for me. :)

It sounds really interesting, as this is one of my favourites. If you wont post your progress as a smv, can't you at least now and then mention the progress youv'e made?

I watched this entire recording and found it OK. I think a lot of unneccesary things could easily be avoided if you just watch TSA's run mentioned and linked to earlier. I think the most people that have written here assumed you already have watched it and don't really mean to just be non constructive. Many things have already been mentioned here and all the constructive things I can say explains themselves better from TSA's run than a swede trying to explain in doubtful english language what he means. :) Good luck! I'm looking forward to see your run.

Thats easy. If your talking about those whirlpools in the desert with those monsters in it, on your way to monster town? Just as they pop up from the whirlpool, walk away quickly. Takes some precision to make but it's rather easy to do with a real SNES. I own the cartridge and has done that many times. That should save some time, unless you really wanna level up on them?
I second that. I got stuck around there and went back and forth severeal times and just happened to notice that myself. When knowing how to do, this is really easy to do even without rerecords or slowdowns.

Some unneccesary waiting, sometimes you do not walk the straight way to the exit (that really was the fastest) and some routes that (at least on first sight) aren't the fastest. This is a no-vote, but I would like to see a version with just the hardest levels, as mentioned.

I am voting yes. But I would really like to se a warpless version more. The way Gigafrost handled his enemies was just wonderful.

I'm voting no to this because it is such a boring game, not due to your playing. I have never played this game before and after watching the first ten minutes of this, I will never do so either. It does not seem like a game that is suitable as a speedrun (or timeattack, or whatever the correct term is), since it itself is such a slow game.

I can't see it... Maybe it's due to a difference between the SNES9X for Mac and Windows. I don't have "<No sound>" as playback rate, but tried with both disabling sound in general, and any combination I could possibly have chosen. I really hope this get published, though, since it is a real classic. (btw. Was it just the european version that was called another world?)

I just figured out how to watch smv's and I'm glad I did. It was a wonderful run so far. I was told earlier that a full SMW-run would be too boring and that all courses would be only fly-throughs... that later part is of course true, but I could never imagine the way you do it in. I love it! Can't wait until the rest of it. :)
