DAYUM! Now THAT was impressive! I know this game well enough to wholly applaud this incredble effort and to hope a YT video is forthcoming. [I know someone whom is wanting to speedrun this game, so this'd make them crap themselves in shock.]

There are [Not including the ton of Homebrews now rising, which is a good thing!] approx. 767 titles, including unlicensed titles and some that have 2-3 revisions. [Not including the PRG0 PRG1 titles though]
And this is only for NTSC titles. There was about 300 or so PAL releases, not totally sure of "Original" title release count though. [IE. PAL Only]
I'd still say a long way off from being close though.

Unfortunately, a lot of this was boring due to the repetitiveness... not that you didn't try to remedy that. [That Birdie fight was great and the Sagat fight rocked hard!] Unfortunately, the same bland combos at points kept it from being a total yes. This is about as high end of a Meh as it can get without being a yes. [If that combo finished off Sagat, that'd have transformed it into a weak yes]

If someone ever decides to take this up, I honestly feel a Points run showing off every last possible secret and maximizing points as best as possible would be the most entertaining. I say this from watching a Metal Slug 3 player continually obliterate the game to higher and higher heights till he started getting past 10 Million points. Despite the length, it was a nonstop fascinating watch to say the least!
That and there's so many hidden goodies, it'd be entertaining on that merit as well.
Mind you, it'd have to be done on Difficulty Level 8 to max points. [Lots more gems worth big points are found]

Outside of wishing Level 4 coulda had some more of those through the spikes goodness, this was a very entertaining run and I am grateful for it being encoded on YT as it helped my decision along nicely.
The bumping was annoying, but understandable, and the cat coin co-operative was crazy!

I begged! I asked as nice as I could! I even promised that I won't ask for another name change for a while! But things got out of hand between myself and at least one other administrator that was too lazy and didn't seem to do his job promptly.
Or maybe you shouldn't have begged and harassed and gotten out of hand?
For that, it has came to my decision to not submit this to Workbench, remove all my WIP download links in this thread, step back for a while, and NOT ever come back under this exact same account again. I already gave the admin my notice to be completely deleted. I already asked nicely, now I demand.
Wow... this is truly disheartening. Ah well, thankfully I am sure others have downloaded the WIP's you've posted so it won't be hard for someone to use that as a template and improve this run on their own accord. That and all the other info provided will ensure that.
Too bad the account won't be deleted though, as that'd make an absolute mess of the forums.. and that just isn't a good idea for such an active community.

I watched this and then I saw the Genesis one... and yeah. Night and Day. This was agonizingly slow and painful to watch in comparison.. and that was not realizing the 40 second improvement. This was just plain boring compared to the Genesis version, which while not the best game in the world, was better.
If there's going to be a GG TAS for a game where there's a Genesis version, it should be a GG only title, or one with enough difference that comparing isn't totally possible.

I remember where I was that fateful day and how I felt. Mom and Dad were in the kitchen grabbing some Milk and to bring out lunch as we all sat down and watched on.... and then it happened. No one could believe it was possible, and yet there we were, seeing it right before our eyes! It felt like absolute slow motion.. and the emotions were so raw and pained. They tried to cover my eyes so I couldn't see, but it was too late. I openly weeped as did my Mom, while Dad tried to remain stoic and strong for both of us.. but I know I saw a tear down his cheek that he rubbed away quickly.
That day was one of the worst days of our lives, and the world's. A great horror and atrocity had been commited that would forever change how the world viewed anything ever again. A truly sad day.
So yeah, I remember where I was that fateful day.. I mean only a short while it was all over the news.. everyone was talking about it. You couldn't go anywhere without people going over and over it.
And all any of us could truly ask that day... Why?! WHY!! WHY DID IT HAVE TO HAPPEN!
WHY DID J.F.K. HAVE TO BE ASSASSINATED!

Er wait a second.. you meant the Morimoto video, didn't you? Um.. yeah.. I felt a bit betrayed that someone was passing this around as a speedrun and there was no mention of an emulator and such being used. How could someone pass that off as legimate. But then soon after I found out about NesVideos and read as much as I could, and my anger simmered and then turned into appreciation of how things worked out. Still mad about there being no disclaimer back then.. but the site really changed my view around and now I am a happy supporter of the community.

Could we figure out the scoring system for these combos? There's discussion about how sometimes when you do some masterful combo chains, the game goes correctly and the last chain reaction scores significantly less... definitely would like to know why or how it happens to do that.
