Might I suggest using Cowering's GoodTools on your roms? Makes life much easier.... unlike improving your run! That's definitely not going to be easy since you whipped the game's ass so hardcore! Yes vote! Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

Now this is a game that'll probably end up being boring.. but I mean this or 1942... to see a run where it's 100% clear for each level? That would be incredible, especially considering how difficult it is to do irl. Nice as a concept demo or technical exercise... not great for a speedrun... but if it looks flashy enough... who knows? This is singlehandedly the worst piece of shit excuse for a hack I've EVER seen! I mean SERIOUSLY?! This looks like some 5 year old on crack developed it! Even those Kaizo SMW levels worked without need for insanel glitching... I'm sorry... Air was a mistake, but even that was better looking then this. If ever there was a reason to prevent hacks... this'd be the one brought to the table everytime, even when someone brings forth a masterpiece like SDW, which was truly worthy of this site. AHH! Muchos Gracias! I was wondering, since it's a touch annoying, but I now understand entirely why and can live with it. Edit: Wow! Post #200! Too cool! Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

Thanks Bisqwit, it works perfect now! [And loads so fast, despite insane bandwidth usage on my end! Deign: Why the bloody heck do you pause so much? [Pause Button] Is this to manipulate attacks? Or is there another reason? Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I'm kinda curious how that glitch in Forest 1 is done to pump the score up.. [and is it doable on a console?] Otherwise, I was honestly entertained by this run. The SMB3 run was boring with all the backwards stuff... but not bad.. but this has so much more entertainment going on. Thanks for taking the time to create something so unique and fascinating Gensito. It truly is appreciated.. well at least by me. Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

Well kids, we all know the next step on our wonderous trip! Wait till the length of the discussion hits 8+ pages and then wait a month or 2... THEN Publish the movie... and watch someone submit a 1-2 second improvement the next day ^_^ I mean, isn't that the unwritten way of accepting SM64 runs? Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I'm sorry but I have to vote no on this one... and here's why.. While you're Sack Race is 0.2 seconds faster then the current WR, and boot throw is optimal... Your Overboard time? Well sad to say but you tied my 1 shot attempt at 3.0 seconds. The current World Record is 2.2 seconds and has been achieved by 2 different people... all 3 of these on a console! The Pizza Race was absolutely bang on... But the downer to going for points is that to get your final total, you have to beat the game more then once. [Iirc, the game goes 3 times and you get a grand total of everything] Knowing that the Overboard time is not optimal, that alone is nearly enough, but this game is just... blugh.. I'm sorry, it's not entertaining and I should know from playing it 2 years ago.. there's a reason I never bothered to try and get back some of the records from it... Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

Definite Yes vote! This has dead periods turned entertaining... The 2nd Boss?! The freaking music never stopped till the next level! AWESOME! 4th Boss was absolutely insane! Too bad you can't glitch through the ceiling floors in 5-2 so you can skyrocket up the left side.. All in all, with awesome windmill shuriken goodness, there is no doubt on this one ^^ Mr. Kelly R. On my Signature as of 11/10/07, shows the games I wouldn't bother attempting a Speed Run of. And I have reasons why: Bebe's Kids (SNES): Gameplay is soooo slow.
I can think of at least 5 things off the top of my head slower then this inane game of crappiness, and this reply is one of them.
Last Action Hero (SNES): The second level in the game is impossible for me to beat because of the time limit and the hit detection is bad.
Nothing is impossible... hell, Anime alone has proven that quite true on a lot of cases. And TAS'ing the 2nd level means bad hit detection is your friend.. or second cousin four times removed ^^
Adventures of Yogi Bear (SNES): Another game with bad hit detection with noticeable differences when comparing to Super Mario Bros.
But then by coming up with this revelation, does it mean you're smarter then the average bear? And where do you get off presuming a bear's intellect, let alone what it is of an average bear? Does Yogi know of Super Mario Bros. at all? Does he know of these noticeable differences when comparing? And comparing to what? Frankly, I think your plea was self felt justification for posting a demand for 3 games to be TAS'd because you feel they're impossible and you don't want to take the time to learn how to TAS them yourself. Or the Flintstone chewables are past their expiry date.. one of the two... Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

I must admit, this is one of the few times I've actually been anxious to wake up and check the forums and doubly so when coming home from work! This is DEFINITELY a run I wanna see! [And for M&M1, that game was so heavily violated, it was barely recognizable.. and it's not as well known as M&M2 or 3 for that fact.. not that it wasn't a cool run.] Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

one more question would be whether i can etherealize through the walls in square lake dungeon. that will save me from walking to sheltem.
Not sure.. I don't think you can due to the properties of the maze, but it's been years since I last played. In regards to the triple crown, never did skip it... though my guides mention all the messages. And holy shit! someone put maps on on GF! Now THAT is helpful! IIRC, Enchanting items is something that could definitely be a boon in the run.. with savestates, you can always max out an item's enchantability without it being cursed ^^ The final password is always PREAMBLE from what I recall... and there's an excellent guide in the Genesis section for M&M II, so that may be all you need. I honestly am wondering if the Genesis version has the superior graphics or not.. [I only played that version] I know the big key to this game is getting a Witches Broom A.S.A.P. and flying to.. um shit.. [E2 11,9]? and using a teleport orb iirc...? Anyways, you teleport/travel to the fountain there and it gives you a TEMPORARY 200 for all stats and Level 50. You take 1 step in any direction and you get attacked by an insanely difficult party of monsters whom you can now wipe the floor with, get awesome loot, step back and repeat... and then there's those Cuisinarts in the Mountains near the beginning of the game [B2 1,8] that add mondo experience... Then level up and repeat as needed ^^ I ALSO HIGHLY RECOMMEND MY GUIDES on Gamefaqs ^_^ Definitely will be of help as I have all the world map marked out. I also have a cavern directory and most of the castles done. If I ever find my old graph book, I have maps of virtually everything too... needless to say, I was hooked on the PC version ^^ Mr. Kelly R. Flewin

Voted Yes for entertainment ^_^ And a definite yes for triple obsoletion. I agree wholeheartedly that this video succeeds in doing what the others did their best to. My yes to obsoletion is nothing against those who TAS'd before, as for their times, their attempts were publish worthy. This just happens to incorporate the best of everything as one. Mr. Kelly R. I will profess, I found this a tad boring at times, but more so then not, I was actually surprisingly entertained. Kinda weird to see you enter the same stage for a 4th time, until I saw you go into an unseen area and continue on, which was quite cool. I am voting yes.

I've been thinking about this for a while and I can't seem to get it out of my head. I've thought about it a bit and envision a hack that recreates the whole game of SMW with self-playing levels. Obviously we have to make some concessions for sake of actually having the levels play themselves, but if each level kept to the theme of the original game, it would be an interesting new way to experience SMW. Well, to show you what I've been thinking of, I'll show my WIP of the first level. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z714Ya8mxsw
I think this didn't look too bad for a WIP. Better then what I'd be able to do ^^;; It'd be nice to see a bit more speed going for it, but it DOES work in manners I wasn't expecting. Keep up the good work! Mr. Kelly R. Fleiwn

Perhaps there might be enough interest for a TASvideos joint production? Ie. Numerous collaborators go to work in making a new SMW hack which is all self played? Someone works on making the World Map, someone works on populating the spaces Mario moves to, others make the levels.. maybe someone adds music? [I dunno] It could be a very interesting enterprise to say the least... Mr. Kelly R. Flewin
