Ah. That makes sense.

Good movie, but I don't understand why Jason doesn't die on level 5, 6, or 8 when he clearly has no P left...

If a New Game+ of Chrono Trigger can be published, then I don't think there should be many restrictions on what kind of stuff gets published.

I got through to parallel world, and I must say...this is freaking hard. I have explored several of the dungeons (more like attempted to explore) to no avail. Enemies do ridiculous amounts of damage, those stupid wall eye beam things are everywhere (the things that don't do any damage with the mirror shield), and the lack of the dungeon map is frustrating, to say the least (Darunia's is almost impossible to navigate without a map). I like some of the ideas, but I guess it's just not a game for someone who has only casually played LttP. The only way a speed run of this game will be even close to possible is if a walkthrough is released, and if the dungeons are studied very well, as some can be quite tricky to navigate. I'd be very interested in seeing a TAS, but I think a few updates need to be made. Edit: According to one of Euclid's assistants on acmlm's board, there is going to be a complete dungeon overhaul. Apparently people aren't to pleased with the ridiculous amount of backtracking that's involved, so the dungeons are going to be redone to more please the general public.

Also, how hard would it be to just manipulate the enemy to miss? Two Rock Tombs should be fine if you can do that, I hope.
Only problem is in this game, unlike Red and Blue, every move doesn't have a possibility to miss. There are a lot of moves that simply don't miss.

If I make a run of one game and it gets published, why should it get deleted just because someone ran a completely different game?
Exactly. I hope whomever publishes the game doesn't do that because it's basically saying, "your run sucks, so we're putting this different game in place of it." By that logic, I could request SMB2 replace any SMB runs because they're both built on the same engine, and both use similar tactics.

Voted yes on the condition that it replaces RR1 - There shouldn't be two of these games published.
What a strange request. I disagree. They aren't the same game, and shouldn't be judged as such.

I don't really think I need to say anything, but I'll say it anyway: awesome job on a difficult to work with game.

I thought this was well done for a racing game, and it wasn't so long that I got bored of it (I can only watch games like this for so long). A yes from me.

Arcade games would be interesting to see TASed, but wouldn't some of the newer games need very powerful machines to run?

This run looks good so far. How is it progressing?

I would love to see this game done. I just wanted this to get up to the top so people don't forget about it.

The problem isn't with the reflexes. The problem is with the fact that you're required to do something for a certain amount of time on many mini-games. That's not good for a speed run, and most people don't want to watch something like that, me included.

I don't like the idea of CC for emulating games. That's a glitch I think shouldn't be allowed, as it is not a glitch with the game's programming, but the console's programming.

Further, Goron Rolling is not significantly slower than epona, at least not slower enough to warrant getting Epona, and super sliding is quite a bit faster.
I guess that rolling would be faster. Changing masks is probably a lot faster than calling, then mounting Epona. In that case, getting Epona would just be a waste of time. Getting to the Skull Kid early is still very useful, though.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but what system does FBA emulate?

Except for the last level, I found that pretty good. I strongly agree that a warpless run would be a lot more enjoyable, but that wasn't so bad.

Ok. I was just wondering. I've never played the game before, so I didn't know.

Both of those tricks look like they could be really useful. They seem like they'd be a real big help for any TASes (Epona would make travel time a lot faster if you get her on the third day...)
