If were going to talk about classics, why not Space Invaders?
I think that any TAS of this game would get really boring really fast. I just can't see myself watching Space Invaders for a half hour...

Nice job so far. I really enjoyed what you've done. But I have a question: do you need all the grey coins to get 105%? Because, I noticed you missed one on the first level.

Strange...that version keeps desynching on me. Only WIP1 timing should be checked, right? Edit: Ah...I accidentally opened the wrong SNES9X.

I would love to see Claymates. I don't know if this game is a classic game, but it would definately be fun to watch. That, and the N64 game where you control a chip and you go from animal to animal. That would be cool to see optimized, too.

I don't really think this is a good idea even if itis legal. As soon as someone puts the videos on DVD and sells them all, there will be obsoleted videos. It seems like you would be putting a lot of effort into something that would constantly need updating, and therefore any DVD that you would buy would be outdated as soon as you buy it. Bad idea. I think there are better ways for Bisqwit to get revenue if he wants it.

It's a great run, but I'm sad to see it obsoleting the old video. I liked the old video because you actually got to see the functioning game. This video seems as if it would be very confusing to someone who isn't familiar with the game (similar to the 5 minute CotM video).

Not bad, but I noticed that in the second section, you didn't jump on the pump for the boat as fast as possible. Is there some reason for that? Does the game not allow the boat to go faster? I've never played the game (most people probably haven't), so I'd like to know.

Is anyone actually making this video, because this is one of my favorite SNES games, and I would love to see it done.

Oh. I get it. I like fresh eggs, and if Phil supports them, I will support them.

I know this has gone slightly off-topic, but would it be legal to sell a recording of a copyrighted game? I don't see it as much of a problem when it's free, as your not making money off of something someone else built and never gave you credit to record. However, if you started to sell videos like the SM64 120 video or an OoT video, Bisqwit might get sued.

If by length of AVI you mean fastest time that the CPU goes bankrupt, here it is, in 35s: http://dehacked.2y.net/microstorage.php/info/1822/monopolymortgagetrade.fcm
I actually enjoyed that movie more than the one you published. I don't see why one of your movies couldn't be published along side the existing one as they are different strategies.

It's a good movie, but I think that the old video should be used, as I don't find it to be fair that the new video is shorter, but only because the computer was manipulated into going bankrupt a few rolls of the dice after the video stopped. I think that the length of the AVI should be used to determine the time of the game, not the length of the movie file. However, I know most people disagree with me, so I guess I'll say that this movie should be put on as a second Monopoly run.

There has got to be a better way to do that. It seems like too much of a hassle for people who may only have a passing interest in TASing. People who come to the website may not want to become a part of it immediately. It's better if we let them get a feel of the website before they join. That way, the environment will feel less threatening to more timid people.

Is Spezzafer still working on this? This looks fantastic so far. I would really like to see some more work on it.

This definitely needs some work. All the missed shots were too much to handle. I think if you work a little harder on this, it would turn out to be a cool video. This, however, just seemed like a really good human player, not someone with god-like reflexes. I would like to see a more efficiently-done movie of this game. It looks like there's a lot of potential to me.

I have been an avid TAS-video watcher for some time now, and I just noticed this topic. I have a suggestion. Would it be possible for one of the following to be done? a) Perhaps nitsuja (or another programmer) could program the emulators so that the movie-makers could place a mostly transparent watermark on just one frame. That way, the only way to plaigerize would be to find that one frame and delete the watermark. The author (and perhaps the site administrators) would be the only one(s) who knew where the watermark was, and it would be easily provable that the video was created by and for the TASVideos community. b) If that would be too hard, maybe it can just be required that a watermark appear for the briefest period of time an AVI can handle, which would achieve the same goal. I don't know if any of these are feasible, but it would definately assist in proving ownership of the movies.
