Do you even get to the credits by finishing the first 5 "worlds"? :P In my opinion it shouldn't count as beating the game nor any% if you don't beat the final boss. I may be too strict on these issues though, people disagreed when I had a simular opinion on Ocarina of Time
Yes, you do get to the credits.

Started a new any% TAS (sorry, no motivation for 100%). Currently in 1-3 and saved 30 frames.

Looking forward to watching this when I've got a spare couple of hours. Just spotted that in the submission in the thanks section the link to my youtube channel is wrong (it links to diamondrazer). My actual channel is in my sig. I Don't mind if you leave it, just feels good to be on there ;)
Oops, fixed! Sorry. ;)

A friend and me were watching this on YouTube, he's a novice at watching TASVideos and I told him there's not just one person doing the entire run, there's several people. So, he thought it would be awesome if, in the YouTube encode, there would be a text showing who did what star. At first I thought it was dumb, but after a while, I started agreeing with him. There SHOULD be a text saying who did what star so that each TASer gets the respect he/she should have.
It would be interesting, yes. Though, this is not possible. Most of the time, more than 1 person work on each single star. I can go ahead and TAS, say, "Swimming Beast in the Cavern" and then sonicpacker will revise my work and save 3 frames. Or, better example, the 100 Coins stars. We often worked on them with a team of 3 people. There's also the fact that we are unsure as to which Japanese author did what. If you really want to know who did what for certain stars, I could tell you. But I think it is pointless to write it down somewhere, sorry. :/ Glad you enjoyed the run, though! Thanks for the votes guys.

On the topic of Japanese nicovideo users uploading others' TASes to nicovideo -- One person has contacted me, calling this problem's topic "Reproduction". Also, about copyright. - Usually they freely upload anything that was submitted to TASvideos (submitting makes it Creative Commons 2.0 material -- anyone can spread it if they give credit). - Sometimes, a few people upload videos from Youtube to nicovideo that weren't previously submitted here. I have read that videos uploaded to Youtube also become Creative Commons 2.0 material, but ... apparently not really? I have seen someone upload one of my videos to nicovideo without my permission, and he was told off in the scrolling comments (i.e. "You didn't get permission, why did you upload this, remove this, do you not have any respect"). And I believe you cannot simply reupload random Youtube videos to your own channel (can you? I haven't done the research, but I believe Youtube will simply remove duplicate uploads? -- it also has some counter-measures preventing you from uploading the exact same file twice; it can detect certain audio tracks...). Anyway.. somehow, uploading to Youtube makes it different from uploading to Tasvideos. If it isn't the CC license, is it the TASvideos policies which everyone abides by?
Republication of movies from this site is only allowed under the following conditions: Video and audio content must not be changed (including the pointers to this site). The movies must be prominently labeled as tool-assisted speedruns. The actual player(s) (always shown at this site) must be properly credited.
- Lastly, and just as a side note, I was disappointed that my latest Kirby & The Amazing Mirror TAS has only reached 2,000 views on Youtube. The point of waiting a month for submission wasn't that the nicovideo upload reaches 130,000 in the end. I had hoped waiting will mean the Youtube video gets more attention. I guess the reason behind it is the whole nicovideo community hasn't been following my Youtube activity and simply didn't know the video has been out for over a month. It just disappoints me -- I wish my Youtube videos get that many views, not the nicovideo uploads by independent people. I do not know if I should keep on putting these "Do not upload to nicovideo" notes in my videos or not.
Will just add my 2 cents here, but: -You're not the only one. My Kirby 64 TAS had 4k views on YT and over 220k on niconico. The audience is just not the same. As long as proper credits is due, I don't think you should worry about this. The goal is to entertain people with your run, not making money out of them. I still get that you want more people drawn to your channel, so that's why SP (and sometimes myself) add this little thing in our description:
Please do not reprint on Nicovideo. ニコニコ動画への転載を禁じます。
So far, Japanese people have respected this. I don't know if it really has an impact, but hey, it's worth a try.

I'm looking forward to trihex streaming it
I don't get why he would stream it.. he never played sm64 as far as I know. I mean, I'm not retaining anyone from streaming anything (because I don't have that power), but please at least promote the original link when it's uploaded instead of some random Yoshi's Island 2 streamer. When will it be uploaded? If everything goes as expected friday or saturday. Stay tuned! :)

I'm voting YES. Even if this is a testrun, I think it's well-optimized and fast-paced. Also, I always love to see more N64 games being published on the site. This one is entertaining enough to me to be published. Good job!

So after watching this (and nearly dieing of an epileptic seizure during the little "boss" battles; what were they thinking?) I have to wonder in which tier this would go. In all honesty, it's not a really impressive movie, so I would suggest the vault?

I would like a system like this and it would definitely encourage people to rate movies more.

Alors ajoute-moi sur skype, lapogne! (Nahoc10) On pourrait aussi faire ta run de Spyro! ;-)

Oh! Then, spezzafer's SM64 "16 Stars" and morimoto's SMB3. Like many people, I first thought those were played on console. I couldn't believe how many hours someone could have played to reach such a level of playing.
